Lysadorea Information

Lysadorea was born in Orandi Village, after Saint Hermeida cleansed it of the Void and before it fell to Order perfidy and neglect. From a very young age, Lysa displayed deep faith in the Light, moderate magical abilities, and a significant—sometimes alarming—interest in the life and legacy of the Saint. She was selected by the prelate to become a Devotrix, a nun chosen for her devoutness, healing abilities, and fair appearance, groomed to accept rich petitioners who came to receive blessings and healing. As a Devotrix, Lysadorea lived a cloistered life, until she encountered the poor and needy on a pilgrimage to the Grand Cathedral.
The experience added a sense of urgency to her piety, and when she returned to Orandi she undertook a forty-day fast, during which she received a vision of Saint Hermeida. On the fortieth day, she informed the prelate she would take up the way of the Germani Itinerati, a set of migratory healers originally founded to honor Saint Hermeida, which had died out when moving about the Kingdom became too dangerous. The hierarchs forbade it. In protest, Lysa continued to fast until she was naught but skin and bones. Her visions intensified.
The Church realized they must acquiesce or have a dead Devotrix on their hands. Moreover, she was beginning to wield some influence with the other initiates, who started spreading rumors of the girl beyond the cathedral’s walls. Finally, the prelate relented and endorsed her visions and her new mission.
Lysadorea took the name of Sister Peregrine, and she walked the realm until her feet were ragged. Frequently during her travels, Void Hunters have saved her from bandits and Consumed, and she has often healed their wounds. The respect she has for them challenges the church’s insinuations that they are all enemies of the Light.
