x2 Sacred, x10 Raphael & Champion Chase

Plarium is lining up a packed weekend for Raid: Shadow Legends, featuring two shard events and a Champion Chase Tournament. Here’s everything you need to know.

From Friday, October 3rd, Sacred Shards will feature a 2x chance to summon Legendary Champions, raising the drop rate from 6% to 12%. Alongside this, there will be a 10x boost for Raphael, running one day shorter than the main x2 event.

Raphael is the focus of this boost, though he’s generally seen as the weakest of the four turtles. His kit relies heavily on applying the [Berserk] debuff, and while his damage is serviceable, it doesn’t stand out compared to other TMNT champions. For collectors looking to complete the set, however, this is a key opportunity.

Also beginning Friday is a Champion Chase Tournament running for 72 hours. Players will be able to claim Gladewulf as a reward milestone. The real spotlight is on Shredder, who will be granted to players finishing 1st in their group leaderboard while also reaching the minimum points threshold (scaling by account level).

This marks the first real chance to acquire Shredder. While his theme and design are strong, his in-game performance has disappointed so far, with underwhelming damage and limited utility outside of niche scenarios.

It’s important to note that only 1% of players will be able to place first place, and claim Shredder – so be cautious going into this event, it will be very hard to win.

This weekend combines 2x Sacred rates, a 10x Raphael boost, and the first tournament tied to Shredder. For collectors, it’s a tempting chance to expand the TMNT roster. For competitive players, however, both Raphael and Shredder are lackluster, making this a risky shard sink unless you’re chasing them for collection value.
