An Uncommon Raid Challenge for Phixion
A lot of content creators within the Raid Shadow Legends community put themselves through challenges to spice up the gameplay and really see what is possible to achieve in the game.
Since working with HellHades for the first time on the Affinity Cup and up to this point I (Phixion) have only really focused on my main account, so, I thought it was about time that I took on one of these challenges myself.
Rules of the challenge:
My goal is to see how far I can progress through the game only using common and uncommon champions. This means I will not even be using the starter champions in the game and rely on the very limited teams available within these comps.
- Any rares can be used for food only (not levelled)
- This account does not need to be FREE TO PLAY but I can not summon any shards except mystery shards.
- I will make an update video each week to track my progress.
With the access to information that we now have in terms of multipliers in the game, I am hoping this will allow me to build some really nice teams on this account, however, that being said, common/uncommon champions are common/uncommon for a reason and its going to be a challenge to achieve!
I will mainly be tracking this account through the website and posting regular updates on where the account is in terms of progress and hopefully provide some cool insight on teams that you might not have considered in the past.

So this is a brand new account. The first thing that I did was run through the tutorial in the game up until the point where I summoned Sniper. After the tutorial was over I unequipped the gear that I was required to equip to Elhain and put her away in the vault. I had 1 more Mystery shard available so I summoned it and pulled Pikeman (oh boy this is going to be rough!).
I equipped all the available gear that I had picked up from login rewards and the tutorial to Sniper and set about starting the grind.
During the first few stages of the campaign, I picked up Crusader who’s A2 ability gives you a basic version of Ally Attack. This ability (Rally) Attacks 1 enemy with 1 random ally. Hey, it’s not the Longbeard that I am used to but beggars can’t be choosers!
After completing Kaerok Castle the 1st time you unlock Warpriest, again, into the vault she goes, however, you do also get a nice set of attack gear!
So here is the state of my account on day 1:
Let me know how far you think it is possible to progress in the game only using Uncommon and Common champions. I am quite excited to get on with this challenge now, not sure how I will feel in a few days time ha! wish me luck!
Good luck, you will get further than most people will assume. Factions war will be quite a challenge.
haha I’m not sure if faction wars are even possible but time will tell :D will just have to get lucky with gear!
At the rules part you say only common Champs, but clearly it’s meant to be common and uncommon. A very daring challenge though, XD would love to follow its progress

Shieldguard is your friend! Id definitely look into building him as well as commander as a single target healer (who boosts turn meter too i believe). Good Luck!

Satyr is a really good uncommon for Boss Turnmeter Control to replace Alure.
When I was at the beginning of the game I was using Crusader with his poor ally attack, sniper and Dhampir. I recommend you checking last one, she gets extra turn when she kills with A1 and het some healing on A2 AOE hit.
My guess is you’ll manage to beat all lvl 20 dungeons expect Spider.
For CB, NM may be 2-keyable but not UNM.
For FW, maybe 1 or 2 but not even sure.
No idea about DT though!
Shieldguard, Saurus, Elfguard, Armiger, Commander, Spirithost.. so many uncommon good champs
I’ve been doing this for months. I’ve always loved minor characters, in books, movies, anime and even video games.
I am currently in gold IV in the arena.
