Black Friday Summon Events

This weekend brings one of the largest shard event lineups of the year, combining simultaneous 2x summon boosts, a Champion Chase Tournament, and a rare 24-hour Primal Shard event.

Whether you are pushing for Kroz Wallbreaker's Fusion or simply looking to extract as much value as possible from your shards, it's important to understand how each event fits together.

Weekend 2x Shard Events (November 28 to December 1)

For the full 72-hour window beginning Friday, November 28, three different shard types will receive 2x boost rates.

Ancient Shards gain doubled rates for Epic and Legendary champions. This is a strong opening for early and mid-game players who still need foundational roster depth, especially from Epic champions. Ancient Shards also typically offer stable value because they are rarely tied to Heroes Path or Summon Rush events.

Void Shards also receive doubled Epic and Legendary rates during this period. Voids retain their affinity advantage, making even the Epic tier an excellent source of long-term utility. This is generally a good time to pull Voids unless you are saving specifically for a Summon Rush.

Sacred Shards receive a 2x boost to Legendary rates only. While this may look attractive on paper, Sacred Shards are far more valuable during Summon Rush events because of their high point yield. For most players, this is not the ideal time to use Sacreds unless you urgently need Fusion points. The value gap between 2x Sacreds and Summon Rush efficiency is significant enough that skipping this event is the recommended approach for almost every account.

Champion Chase Tournament (November 28 to December 2)

Running for 96 hours, the Champion Chase Tournament overlaps with the 2x shard weekend and provides milestone rewards including Kroz Wallbreaker's Fusion fragments. The headline prize is a Perfect Soul for Kroz, awarded only to players who finish first in their 50-player group and also reach the minimum point requirement for their account level.

The minimum thresholds are as follows:

  • Levels 1–41 require 2,000 points and award a 3-star Perfect Soul.
  • Levels 42–64 require 3,000 points for a 4-star Perfect Soul.
  • Levels 65–100 require 5,000 points for a 5-star Perfect Soul.

Finishing first without reaching the threshold does not award the soul.

While this might seem like a tempting opportunity, the competition level will be extremely high. The tournament coincides with the 2x Primal event on Monday, which means whales and krakens will be pulling heavily. That makes it very unlikely for most players to secure first place unless they intend to spend a significant number of Primal Shards or cash.

It is also worth noting that Kroz does not rely heavily on a high-rank soul. A 2-star soul, easily purchased with Silver Essence, already boosts his bomb damage substantially. Higher-level souls offer incremental bonuses but are not essential for most game modes. For the vast majority of players, it is more practical to focus on milestone rewards rather than competing for first place.

Primal Shard 2x Event (December 1 Only)

The 24-hour 2x event for Primal Shards begins on Monday, December 1, and this is the centerpiece of the entire weekend. During this period, the rates for Epic, Legendary, and Mythical champions are all doubled. Even with Mythicals remaining at a low final percentage, the boost represents the single best opportunity in the game to acquire Mythical champions.

Primal Shards rarely receive boosted events, and past boosts have been limited to targeted drop-rate increases for specific champions. A full 2x across all rarities dramatically raises the value of every Primal Shard you own, making this the strongest shard event of the year for players looking to expand into Mythicals or strengthen their legendary pool.

For most accounts, it makes sense to save all Primal Shards specifically for this event. Even if you are not completing the Kroz Fusion, the value per Primal Shard is simply too high to ignore. It is possible that another Primal event may appear around Christmas or New Year, but nothing is guaranteed, and the current event is already exceptional.
