Free 2 Play 2025 – Creator Recap

It’s now been 2 weeks since the Free 2 Play 2025 Competition began, and we have seen some absolutely crazy achievements by the members of the community, but the creators have also been battling it out head to head in a competition consisting of two teams, Team Alice and Team Queen of Hearts – who is going to come out on top?

In this article we’re going to be reviewing the leaderboard progress from each area to see how the creators have been getting on!

Alice vs Queen of Hearts

As it stands currently, Queen of Hearts have a VERY healthy lead, however, we’re only 2 weeks into a 3-month competition – it’s all to play for still at this stage.

Below you can see the top few individual points contributions, unfortunately we’d love to show them all in this article, but there’s just so many that it would swamp the page!

Champion Development

Starting off with Champion Development, several of our creators are starting to get their fourth Rank-6 at this point, which is awesome work. Most others have completed their third too from what we can see on the leaderboards – It’s hard to know the perfect balance between farming food and doing other tasks such as missions, gear farming etc!

Great Hall Development

Great Hall development is an odd one, on one hand it looks pretty on the leaderboard if you slam level 1 bonuses into each and every area, but on the other – there are missions that require you to upgrade to certain levels which should be an early priority, but it will not look as good on the leaderboards!

Faction Wars Progression

None of the creators have come anywhere near the impressive feat of Billops in the community who has acquired over 250 stars already in Faction Wars, but they’re giving it a good shot!

I know many of the creators who are accumulating Faction Wars stars have been using their Food Champions to gain stars before feeding them – a clever way of getting access to some rewards whilst not investing heavily into unnecessary Champions just yet.

Classic Arena Rank

Neva has been absolutely dominating the arena – reaching Gold 5 is a huge milestone to achieve for several reasons:

  • Access to easier fights as there are a LOT more 1-man defences, making farming significantly easier.
  • Stat bonuses (22% ATK, DEF, HP)
  • Better weekly rewards!

Unfortunately, the other creators are quite far behind here with many sitting around Gold 1, they’ll reach Gold 5 eventually though!

Tag Team Arena Rank

Tag Arena is most players’ least favourite area in the game, especially early on when you’re limited for options – but thankfully there are a lot of free wins to farm, and that’s shown by the progress of 5 of our creators who have moved up to the second tier already.

Hopefully, the creators are all taking advantage of the Shop by farming Gold Bars to pick up 300 energy every week, and potentially even an Ancient Shard too!

Current Fastest Champion

There’s a running theme within the fastest Champions, and they’re all relatively similar speed.

We all picked up Uugo and Tagoar at the start from our download link, so it’s no surprise to see them dominating the fastest leaderboard, but Trax on Sundays has clearly had the best luck so far with high-speed gear for his Tagoar!

Nightmare Campaign Progression

Nightmare campaign is a hard area to find the time to progress, due to its high energy cost it often doesn’t feel valuable to spend energy on – however, there are some incredibly valuable rewards to pick up if you have a team strong enough to power through with 2 or 3 stars.

Neva has pushed to 180+ stars, which gave him a further 3 Legendary Skill tomes, while many others have stopped just over 130 which is the requirement to get a full set of 6-star Speed Gear!

Doom Tower

Doom Tower, well, it’s certainly getting harder as you can see with many creators being stuck on Stage 70, it’s one that will get progressively easier as the competition goes on due to more depth in our rosters to deal with certain encounters.

Hellhades however is absolutely smashing it with high-resistance builds to make bosses such as the Nether Spider much easier to manage!

Demon Lord

There’s been a constant battle in Clan Boss between Neva and his Harima vs Loomie and his Helicath – unfortunately Neva’s lead is going to be short-lived as running an unkillable team is on the horizon for Loomie!

Regardless, many of our creators now pushing into 2-4 key territory on Brutal Clan boss is exciting, we could see Nightmare starting to be tackled in the coming days!

Hydra

Effectively tackling Hydra this early on is a huge task, even on the lowest difficulty due to requiring 6 Champions with significant investment, and that only covers one of 3 required teams – due to this, unfortunately, none of our creators are seeing a weekly chest yet from Hydra – but that won’t last long – I expect by this time next week we’ll see some creators starting to push towards getting some decent progression on Hydra.

Dragon

The first major milestone on Dragon has been conquered! Dragon 20 is now down from 3 of the creators, 2 of which with relatively competitive run-times, making it a very valuable gear-farming option going forwards!

It’s time to start seeing some upgrades for Speed and Lifesteal for Neva and Dante!

Ice Golem

Ice Golem is a much tricker dungeon to progress due to how hard it hits if you trigger the passive skill before the adds have been slayed, but that hasn’t stopped Trax on Sundays and Nub Raids pushed to stage 17 – one of the key stages for the Arbiter Missions when they reach that stage!

It will be interesting to see who the first to clear stage 20 is!

Fire Knight

Fire Knight is incredibly difficult to manage early on, it hits incredibly hard, and you need considerable amounts of Turn Meter control and lots of multi-hitting Champions on your roster – Which Hellhades has in abundance with his starter Champion being Athel, and his amazing pick-up of Coldheart early on – who dominates the Fire Knight – this has seen him able to push up to stage 16 of the Fire Knight!

Many other creators have pushed stage 13 for the Dungeon Challenge to get themselves a Sacred Shard!

Spider

Spider is a strange dungeon when it comes to progression as Stage 10 has weirdly high drop rates for Rank-5 Gear, making it the best stage to farm pre-Stage 20 – which is why you see many creators have stopped at this point.

Until there is missions to push further, there is little to no need to progress past stage 10 – but Trax on Sundays nonetheless has managed to clear Stage 14!

Minotaur

At this stage it’s nice to see many creators farming Minotaur 15 for their masteries, making it much more effective than buying your masteries with 800 gems a piece!

Realistically it’s not a very hard dungeon though, so we would expect as much 2 weeks into the game, it now becomes a race to see who can farm it fastest with Bone currently in the lead as the only creator with a sub-1 minute run!

Potion Keeps

Potion Keeps are something that nobody wants to have to do, but the Arbiter Missions say we have to – Stage 15 has been cleared by several creators in all 5 of the dungeons, whilst some are able to push to the later stages in certain keeps, depending on their roster capabilities.

Nub Raids was the first to claim Magic and Arcane Keep 20, Neva was the first to claim Fore Keep 20 – we are yet to see Stage 20 for Spirit and Void!

Iron Twins

Progress on the Iron Twins is limited due to only having access to 6-keys and it being on a rotation of affinity, but that hasn’t stopped Dante Raids from reaching level 9 in one of the affinities to get himself a milestone reward to bank some extra souls for his roster!

Sand Devil

Sand Devil is another one that not many people have touched yet, and that’s not surprising due to how little gear we have to worry about ascending currently – but, it is also a relatively tricky dungeon to face.

We may see some progress over the coming weeks in this dungeon during the Tea Party Titan Event as there is usually a Sand Devil tournament!

Trax on Sundays however does currently lead the race with Stage 7 being cleared by him!

Shogun Grove

Just like Sand Devil, there is limited progression on the Shogun Grove currently – but as mentioned with Sand Devil, we don’t have many items worth ascending currently so this is the kind of content we will see gradually improve over time as it becomes more worth it for the creators.

YST and Zerobrew however have pushed and cleared stage 7 so far!
