Kro’khad the Throatripper Fusion Guide – Raid: Shadow Legends
Welcome to our Kro'khad the Throatripper Fusion Guide, where we'll provide you with all of the information necessary to complete this year's RAID: Shadow Legends Summer Fusion.
This Fusion is a Fragment Fusion, meaning you'll need to collect Fusion Champion Fragments by earning them from various Tournaments and Events, before summoning him in the Summoning Portal.
Be sure to check back daily throughout the Kro'khad the Throatripper Fusion to see our breakdown of how many points you will require for each event and the best way to earn them.
Kro'khad the Throatripper Fusion Type: Fragment
There are three types of fusion events: traditional, fragmented, and hybrid. Kro'khad will be a Fragment Collector Fusion, which means unlike a Traditional Fusion, we do not need to collect any other Champions to fuse him. Instead, we will be collecting Fragments by completing Fusion Events and Tournaments.
Once you've completed enough Events and Tournaments to acquire 100 Fragments, you may Summon Kro'khad from the Summoning Portal.
One of the best parts about Fragment Collector Fusions is there is no time limit on claiming your Legendary Champion meaning you can hold on to them for points in an upcoming Clan vs Clan or Champion Chase Tournament for a big drop of points!
Kro'khad the Throatripper Skills
A1 – Hound Tyrant
Attacks all enemies with individual hits, meaning it deals single-target damage to each foe, even though it's an AoE. This is excellent for Hydra, which reduces AoE damage but doesn't mitigate single-target hits the same way. The attack ignores Reflect Damage, Pain Link, and Ally Protection, making it very safe and efficient.
If Packmaster Shy'k is on the team, this attack deals double damage when counterattacking, adding serious nuke potential to reactive builds.
A2 – Festering Jaw (4-turn cooldown, books to 3)
Another AoE hit that places an extra hit on enemies under 2 or more debuffs. Each hit has a chance to apply Leech and Weaken, and if Packmaster is present, they become irresistible (no accuracy needed). That makes this skill not just great for damage, but a utility powerhouse when combined with the right support.
A3 – Dominant Predator (4-turn cooldown, books to 3)
Single-target nuke that ignores 50% DEF, Life Barrier, Poison Cloud, and effects that redirect attacks (e.g., Mischief Head in Hydra). If Packmaster Shy'k is in the team, this attack repeats, doubling its impact. This is a direct counter to some of the most annoying Hydra mechanics.
Passive – Primal Ambition
Increases this champion's ATK by 5% per kill or decapitated Hydra head, stacking up to 25%. With Packmaster present, the buff jumps to 10% per, for a total of 50%.
Even better, if an ally is consumed by Hydra, this instantly activates the A3 against the consuming head—an extremely powerful reactive trigger that could turn the tide of battle.
Aura
Increases Ally ATK in all battles by 30%.
Kro'khad the Throatripper Fusion Events
As part of the Fusion, we will have 2 summoning events in the Fusion Schedule, one Summon Rush Event, and one Champion Chase Tournament.
- Friday 1st August – Summon Rush Event

Day 1 Update: July 28th
New Events:
- Champion Training Event – 3100/6,100 Points – 10 Fragments
- Dragon Tournament – 2,250 Points – 5 Fragments
You will need to acquire 2,250 Points for the Dragon Tournament, which equates to roughly 140 runs of Stage 20 Normal at a cost of approximately 2,240 energy, or 120 runs of Stage 10 Hard at a cost of about 2,400 energy. Stage 20 Normal is the most energy-efficient route for fusion tournaments, so prioritise it unless you're targeting specific gear upgrades. These numbers are averages—some players may get lucky (or unlucky) with drop rolls.
For the Champion Training Event, you'll earn 5 fragments at 3,100 points and another 5 fragments at 6,100 points. To optimise your training, ensure that you level your chickens before feeding them. A great tip is to apply a few brews to your 4★ or 5★ chickens—this boosts their levels fast and helps you rack up points more efficiently.

⚠️ We recommend conserving your energy refills until tomorrow's Dungeon Divers Event launches—welcome once again to WAIT: Shadow Legends.
Day 2 Update: July 29th
New Events:
- Dungeon Divers Event I – 3,700 Points – 5 Fragments (15/100)
It's time to get going, as today marks the launch of the first Dungeon Divers Event of the Fusion! With the Champion Training Event and Dragon Tournament still active, now is the perfect time to double- or even triple-dip your energy to get maximum value across all events.
To acquire the 5 Fragments from Dungeon Divers I, you'll need to reach 3,700 points. This equates to approximately 304 runs of Stage 20 Normal dungeons at a cost of 4,864 energy, or around 273 runs of Stage 10 Hard at a cost of 5,460 energy.
Stage 20 Normal continues to be the most energy-efficient route for these types of events. If your dungeon teams are fast enough, now's a great time to work in a few food champions to also progress your Champion Training while farming gear.

Day 3 Update: July 30th
New Events:
- Artifact Enhancement Event I – 4,775 Points – 5 Fragments (20/100)
Today marks the first Artifact Enhancement Event of the Fusion.
There are two main strategies for completing this event:
Gear Cleansing Route
If you've been hoarding a backlog of Level 1 gear, this is the time to cleanse. Upgrading artifacts to Level 8 or 12 and then selling them can get you to the required 4,775 points without needing to commit to full Level 16 upgrades. This method typically costs around 10–15 million silver, and you might walk away with a few hidden gems worth keeping.
Gear Upgrading Route
If you're in the middle of optimising champion builds, go ahead and take the gear to Level 16. Prioritise your best pieces—especially Artifacts over Accessories—to minimise cost. This route will cost around 20 million silver, depending on how lucky (or unlucky) your upgrades go.
Keep in mind: Artifact Events are a key part of every Fusion and often feel the pinch when silver is tight—plan your upgrades accordingly, and you'll be on pace for another 5 Fragments by the end of the day.
Day 4 Update: July 31st
New Events:
- Ice Golem Tournament – 2,250 Points – 5 Fragments (25/100)
Today's Ice Golem Tournament is now live, offering 5 Fusion Fragments for reaching 2,250 points.
Here's the breakdown:
- This equates to around 140 runs of Stage 20 Normal (at roughly 2,240 energy total)
- Or about 120 runs of Stage 10 Hard (for 2,400 energy)
Stage 20 Normal remains the most energy-efficient route when it comes to Tournament point farming, especially in artifact drop-focused events like this one. As always, RNG plays a role—some players may hit the mark in fewer runs if they're lucky with high-rarity drops, while others might need slightly more.
Day 5 Update: August 1st
New Events:
- Summon Rush Event – 2,050/3,200 Points – 15 Fragments (40/100)
- Classic Arena Takedown I – 390 Points – 5 Fragments (45/100)
Today brings two new events and an important decision point for many players.
First up is the Summon Rush Event, awarding 5 Fragments at 2,050 points and another 10 Fragments at 3,200 points for a total of 15 Fragments. As always, Sacred Shards offer the best value for Summon Rush, with 300 points per shard—meaning the full reward requires around 11 Sacreds or a balanced mix of other Shards.
This event runs alongside a Progressive Chance Summon Event, offering increased odds for specific Legendary Champions after every Legendary pull from Shards. If you're sitting on a decent stockpile, now may be a good time to go for it—especially if you're targeting specific Fusion fragments.
Next up is the Classic Arena Takedown. You'll need 390 points to grab 5 Fragments, which typically equates to about 30 wins in Gold V over the 72-hour window. If you're in lower Arena tiers, the required wins scale accordingly, so it's achievable for most active players.
Keep an eye on your Arena refill tokens and avoid wasted refreshes to ensure you stay on pace for the full 5.
Day 6 Update: August 2nd
New Events:
- Dungeon Divers Event II – 3,700 Points – 5 Fragments (50/100)
We're back into farming mode today with the launch of Dungeon Divers Event II, offering another 5 Fragments for reaching 3,700 points.
This breaks down to approximately:
- 304 runs of Stage 20 Normal dungeons at around 4,864 energy
- Or 273 runs of Stage 10 Hard, costing about 5,460 energy
Stage 20 Normal remains the most energy-efficient path for these events.
Energy management is key as we move into the second week of this Fusion, so keep pace with point milestones and hold your refills for aligned event overlap whenever possible.
Day 7 Update: August 3rd
New Events:
- Artifact Enhancement Event II – 4,775 Points – 5 Fragments (55/100)
- Champion Training Tournament – 3,700/6,800 Points – 10 Fragments (65/100) (Additional 10 Fragments for 1st place, 5 for 2nd place in your bracket)
Today kicks off the second Artifact Enhancement Event of the Fusion, and a new Champion Training Tournament—with some bonus bracket rewards up for grabs.
For Artifact Enhancement, you'll need 4,775 points to secure the Fragments. Here are your two best approaches:
Gear Cleansing Route:
Upgrade spare artifacts to Level 8 or 12, then sell them. This path typically costs around 10–15 million silver and lets you clear out unwanted gear while earning points.
Gear Upgrading Route:
For those actively improving Champion builds, pushing quality gear to Level 16 is your best bet. Prioritize Artifacts over Accessories for better silver efficiency. Expect to spend up to 20 million silver with this method.
As for the Champion Training Tournament, it follows a familiar format:
– 3,700 points = 5 Fragments
– 6,800 points = an additional 5 Fragments
– Bonus Fragments: 10 for finishing 1st, 5 for 2nd place in your bracket
To reach these point milestones efficiently, be sure to level your chickens before feeding them. Use brews on 4★ or 5★ champions to boost them quickly before sacrificing, and take advantage of the ongoing Dungeon Divers overlap to stack value.

Day 8 Update: August 4th
New Events:
- Spider Tournament – 2,250 Points – 5 Fragments (70/100)
The Spider Tournament is now live, offering another 5 Fragments for reaching 2,250 points.
Here's what that looks like in practice:
– Roughly 140 runs of Stage 20 Normal at a cost of 2,240 energy
– Or around 120 runs of Stage 10 Hard for about 2,400 energy
Stage 20 Normal is still the most energy-efficient route for point farming. If you're farming accessories for specific Factions or still working on Dungeon Divers and Champion Training milestones, this is a great opportunity to multi-task.
As always, RNG on gear drops may slightly raise or lower the number of runs needed—but on average, these numbers will keep you on pace.
Day 10 Update: August 6th
New Events:
- Dungeon Divers Event III – 3,700 Points – 5 Fragments (75/100)
The third and final Dungeon Divers Event is now live, offering another 5 Fragments for reaching 3,700 points.
Here's a breakdown of the average cost:
– 304 runs of Stage 20 Normal dungeons, costing approximately 4,864 energy
– Or 273 runs of Stage 10 Hard dungeons, costing around 5,460 energy
Don't forget: campaign stages also contribute to Dungeon Divers, so even your food farming efforts can help chip away at this one.
Day 11 Update: August 7th
New Events:
- Artifact Enhancement Event III – 4,775 Points – 5 Fragments (80/100)
- Fire Knight Tournament – 2,250 Points – 5 Fragments (85/100)
It's a busy day for the Fusion grind!
Artifact Enhancement Event III gives you a couple of options for securing the 5 Fragments:
- Gear Cleansing Route: Upgrade low-level gear (typically to level 8 or 12), then sell them. This can be completed with roughly 10–15 million silver.
- Gear Upgrading Route: Upgrade essential artifacts to level 16 for actual account progression. This method requires about 20 million silver, so plan accordingly.
For the Fire Knight Tournament, you'll need 2,250 points:
- Stage 20 Normal: ~140 runs, costing 2,240 energy
- Stage 10 Hard: ~120 runs, costing 2,400 energy
Stage 20 Normal is your best bet for energy efficiency, unless you're pushing for top-tier gear drops. As always, real results may vary depending on your drop luck!
Day 12 Update: August 8th
New Events:
- Champion Chase Tournament – 1,300/3,000 Points – 15 Fragments (Additional: +10 for 1st place, +5 for 2nd place) (100/100)
- Classic Arena Takedown II – 390 Points – 5 Fragments (105/100)
The final stretch of the Fusion begins with a strong focus on shard pulls and Arena battles!
Champion Chase Tournament offers 15 guaranteed Fragments at 3,000 points, with bonus Fragments available for high placements in your bracket:
- 1st Place: +10 Fragments
- 2nd Place: +5 Fragments
You can earn points here not only through shard pulls, but also by:
- Summoning stored Fragment Champions
- Pulling Mystery Shards from campaign or Market
- Fusing lower-rarity champions
This tournament coincides with a 2x Void Shard event—if you're planning to pull, now's the time!
Meanwhile, the Classic Arena Takedown II should be straightforward—winning ~30 fights over 72 hours in Gold V will get you to the 390 points required. Lower-tier Arena players will have scaled-down requirements, so check your bracket!

Sacred Shards offer the best value for Summon Rush, with 300, Check that It’s 500!
And the Fragment Counter: 45/100, needs to be 50. At least that’s what I have so far!
