Kyoku – Is she worth it?

Is Kyoku worth 15 Sacred Shards?

Kyoku is available this weekend a guaranteed summon event, requiring 15 Sacred Shards, of course, this is a lot of shards – especially just after a x2 Sacred weekend. But is the hype worth it? Let’s have a look a little deeper at what Kyoku brings to your account.

Kyoku is a Spirit Affinity, DEF Based Legendary Champion from the Shadowkin Faction – She was added to the game in patch 4.90, her key role in your team is to protect your team and reduce the incoming damage that your allies will be taking.

Kyoku brings an [Ally protection] buff on her a3, which unlike others also buffs herself with [Block Damage] for 3 turns, and grants her an extra turn. Because of the extra turn, it effectively makes this ability a 3 turn cooldown, with a 2 turn duration which is huge for uptime and arguably makes Kyoku one of the, if not the best Ally Protector in the game as she is also mitigating the damage received during that uptime.

Kyoku’s passive is very much like Seekers, but will also heal your team as well as placing an Increase DEF buff for 2 turns when hit by a critical hit. This is a great passive boost to your team’s survivability and won’t go unnoticed.

Her A2 is a bit awkward, she can either be an AOE Decrease ATK Champion for your team, which is incredibly valuable, or if you’re running with another champion who’s able to bring this debuff – she can act as an AOE HP Burner which is also incredibly valuable in many areas, such as Spider and Hydra Clan Boss, along with Doom Tower.

Along with all of these amazing abilities, Kyoku can hit up to FOUR times with her A1 ability, which will bring some serious damage in a Clan Boss setup with her having Giant Slayer as a mastery choice.

Level 4: Damage +10%

Level 5: Buff/Debuff Chance +10%
