Raid: Shadow Legends – April Champion Rebalances

Spacer

As we end the month of April Plarium has sprung some champion rebalances and they are needed for the champions to be viable in the game! Only two champions receiving the special treatment this month and they are Nogdar the Headhunter and Gomlok Skyhide.

The changes are as follows:

Nogdar the Headhunter:

His a2 Gore Feast is going to place 2 continuous heals on all allies instead of himself so he is learning to be unselfish and support his team! His a2 will now read:

“Attacks all enemies. After attacking, this Champion sacrifices HP equal to 50% of their MAX HP, then places 15% [Continuous Heal] buff on all allies for 2 turns. The HP sacrifice will happen even if it kills this Champion.”

This is a mild buff however his a3 Last Rites looks small but could make him a lot more viable! After he sacrifices his HP and levels the enemies he then gets an extra turn! This allows him to not just die but it gives him a chance to fight back.

“Sacrifices HP equal to 50% of this Champion’s MAX HP, then equalizes HP levels with the target enemy. Then, grants an Extra Turn. The HP levels of both this Champion and the target enemy will be brought down to the level of the one with the lowest HP. [Does not work against Bosses. This Champion cannot be killed by this Skill.]”

His passive Headsman’s Return is getting a buff as well as he will now revive with full Turn Meter.

“Revives this Champion with 50% HP and full Turn Meter when killed if all other allies are alive. Does not work if there are multiple Nogdars on the team or if there are 3 or fewer Champions on the team.”

These changes are great for him!

Gomlok Skyhide:

Gomlok Skyhide’s changes are minimal but helpful as he can now steal all buffs on his a2 and has a 60% chance of stealing 50% of the target’s turn meter, this is better than just decreasing it as he now gets to enjoy the turn meter boost. his a2 now reads:

“Attacks 1 enemy. Has a 60% chance of stealing all buffs from the target. Also has a 60% chance of stealing 50% of the target’s max Turn Meter.”

His Passive is also receiving a buff gaining a 30% MAX HP shield instead of a 15% so its always good to get more of a shield and the 15% didn’t feel very significant.

What do you think of these changes? Could they have done more?

Those Nogdar changes look great, but I feel like they should have done more for Gomlok. He still doesn’t quite have a place in the game, although he is decent for Fae. If they would have focused a bit more on that it would be fine for me. Once you’ve started getting these DT champs you really want them to be extremely good in at least one area.

Agreed. I really want to use Gomlok, he looks cool, but there is no place for him anywhere.
