Falmond Mournsword Overview

Purification in the light of the Sacred Order! That is the calling of Falmond Mournsword who seeks to convert all heretics to the cause and leads the crusade of the Sacred Order as part of Update 8.40.

Falmond is the Unity Champion for Sacred Order, gaining buffs and effects as you add additional Sacred Order champions into the team. Unlike the Faction Unity Champions from High Elves and Bannerlords, Falmond is much more about empowering his damage output. You can consider Falmond a Nuke Ultimate Deathknight in which you build him with very little speed in Stoneskin taking advantage of his passive. Then, You can unleash immense damage with Burning Courage (A3) using the Unity 2 and 3 bonus to turn Falmond into a Sun Wukong or Siegfrund style damage ability. Expect Falmond to be Top Tier in Arena if you can pair him with the right Sacred Order Champions. Mournsword (A1) is quite unique when fighting against champions from the Corrupted Alliance (Demonspawn, Undead Hordes, Dark Elves and Knight Revenants). They will never be attacked with his A1 instead using the Burning Courage allowing several attempts at the big nuke ability.

In Dungeon and Boss Content, Falmond will make for an excellent Scarab King solo champion with the ability to reduce incoming damage per turn whilst also healing and shielding on the A1. His damage potential is incredible in Hydra and Clan boss increasing his In Lumaya’s Name (A2) damage for each debuff. His passive unity bonuses are also powerful to provide bonus turn meter control and also provide you with protection against opponents who increase your skill cooldown.

Falmond will pair excellently with champions including Cardiel, Siegfrund, Cupidus, Deacon Armstrong and Godseeker Aniri making him a very desirable Faction Unity champion to chase.

Understanding Arena Roles

Champions normally form specific roles within an arena team. Our ratings define the roles that the champion fits and rates them on their ability to perform the roles. Below you can see a breakdown of all of our roles.

Cleanser

Champions with the Cleanser role will use their skills to remove debuffs and keep them from being re-applied.

Crowd Control

Champions with the Crowd Control role will use their skills to place soft (i.e. Provoke or Taunt) and hard (i.e Freeze or Stun) debuffs to disable enemy champions.

Damage

Champions with the Damage role will have skills that deal significant damage and are designed to defeat enemy champions.

Damage Absorption

Champions with the Damage Absorption role will have skills or effects that reduce the incoming damage your team takes. This can be through passive damage reduction or by applying skills such as Strengthen or Shields.

Healer

Champions with the Healer role will have skills that restore your champion's Health including Continuous Heals.

Debuffer

Champions with the Debuffer role will have skills that place debuffs that don't fall into Crowd Control or Skill Manipulator roles i.e. Decrease Defence. These champions may also have skills that remove Buffs.

Revive

Champions with the Revive role will have skills that bring your ally champions back from the dead including Revive on Death buffs.

Skill Manipulator

Champions with the Skill Manipulator role will have skills that increase enemy skill cooldowns or reduce your ally skill cooldowns.

Speed Manipulator

Champions with the Speed Manipulator role will have skills that affect the turn meter of your allies or enemies. This includes speed buffs and debuffs aswell as direct turn meter effects.
