Gwyndolin The Silent Overview

This silent assassin has been spotted flying above the Cursed City, and although she’s infamous for slaying the Hydra with her Sickle Boomerangs, this owl is now seeking new prey. Gwyndolin The Silent is a Force Legendary champion residing from the Skinwalkers Faction.

Gwyndolin is a unique champion that not only utilises strong forms of buffs & debuffs, but can inflict devastating damage as well. Although she has many highlight abilities, the A2 holds strong universal value, due to attacking all enemies whilst placing a 30% Decrease Speed, Leech & a 30% Decrease Accuracy. When we consider content such as the Hydra, these are some of the fundamentals we look for thrown into one active skill. These will not only reduces the amount of resistance we need, but will slow down those enemies whilst assisting your team to heal in the process. Leading into the Talonrake [A3], she places a a 50% Increase Accuracy on your allies, followed by stealing any Block Debuffs your enemies have, then places them on your team. The synergy here can be helpful to counter Resist heavy targets that steal or place this buff, although the Increase Accuracy alone can alleviate the high threshold stats that’s required for end game content.

Leading back into the damage potential of this champion, the passive can increase her Critical Damage by 1% for every 10 points of accuracy, therefore providing a damage boost from a stat we would prioritise regardless! Last but not least, if you’re familiar with the Telarian classic Vizier, Gwyndolin grants an identical effect at a 50% chance to increase the duration of debuffs. Whether you want to keep debuffs active on the Clan Boss, or simply the poisons on the Dragon [As examples], this can be extremely powerful.

Understanding Arena Roles

Champions normally form specific roles within an arena team. Our ratings define the roles that the champion fits and rates them on their ability to perform the roles. Below you can see a breakdown of all of our roles.

Cleanser

Champions with the Cleanser role will use their skills to remove debuffs and keep them from being re-applied.

Crowd Control

Champions with the Crowd Control role will use their skills to place soft (i.e. Provoke or Taunt) and hard (i.e Freeze or Stun) debuffs to disable enemy champions.

Damage

Champions with the Damage role will have skills that deal significant damage and are designed to defeat enemy champions.

Damage Absorption

Champions with the Damage Absorption role will have skills or effects that reduce the incoming damage your team takes. This can be through passive damage reduction or by applying skills such as Strengthen or Shields.

Healer

Champions with the Healer role will have skills that restore your champion's Health including Continuous Heals.

Debuffer

Champions with the Debuffer role will have skills that place debuffs that don't fall into Crowd Control or Skill Manipulator roles i.e. Decrease Defence. These champions may also have skills that remove Buffs.

Revive

Champions with the Revive role will have skills that bring your ally champions back from the dead including Revive on Death buffs.

Skill Manipulator

Champions with the Skill Manipulator role will have skills that increase enemy skill cooldowns or reduce your ally skill cooldowns.

Speed Manipulator

Champions with the Speed Manipulator role will have skills that affect the turn meter of your allies or enemies. This includes speed buffs and debuffs aswell as direct turn meter effects.
