Rhazin Scarhide – Champion Spotlight
Rhazin Scarhide is one of the most iconic fusion champions in Raid: Shadow Legends, and unlike event based fusions that come and go, he’s permanently available to players from the moment they start their account. His fusion path does take some dedication, but with several of the required champions farmable from the campaign and the rest obtainable through shard summons, he remains one of the most accessible Legendary champions in the game – whether you’re fully free to play or choose to invest.
That said, time hasn’t been the kindest to Rhazin. Once regarded as a top tier fusion, the game’s power creep has left his kit feeling outdated in 2025. Even so, he still brings solid utility when used in the right areas. In this spotlight, we’ll explore the best ways to build and get value from Rhazin Scarhide today.
FIRE KNIGHT
For the Fire Knight’s Castle, Rhazin is a strong option for progressing players pushing toward stage 20 for Arbiter missions, and he remains a reliable choice to help defeat all stages of Normal. While stage 25 is rough due to his negative affinity – often resulting in weak hits – he performs much better on stages like 20 and 24 where he’s affinity neutral, as well as against Magic and Void stages where he can truly shine as a farming option.
His value here comes from a triple hitting A1 to chip away at the boss’s shield counters, his Bog Down A3 to decrease Turn Meter, and his ability to apply Decrease DEF and Weaken to maximize your teams damage once the shield is broken. This makes him especially useful in teams built around Counterattack, Ally Attack, or lineups with multiple multi-hitters working together.
Preset AI is key, however, since the main drawback is his A3 sitting on a 6 turn cooldown. It’s recommended to lock this skill until the boss phase, opening with his A1 to help reduce shield counters, then unleashing the A3 once the shield drops. This timing gives your team breathing room to land vital debuffs like Decrease SPD, or for controllers such as Coldheart to further push back the boss’s Turn Meter.
Demon Lord & Chimera
Rhazin is a straightforward yet effective option for both the Demon Lord and the Chimera, since both are single target encounters. Locking out his A3 allows you to maximize Giant Slayer procs with more frequent A1 usage, while his A2 remains the focus for consistently applying Decrease DEF and Weaken – not only for strong debuffs, but also the higher damage multiplier of his two active skills.
Against the Demon Lord, being able to land both debuffs at once is especially valuable if your roster lacks multiple champions to rotate them. His A1 also helps by stripping Increase ATK when the affinity shifts, and as a DEF based champion he’s more tanky, making him ideal for progressing players. Pairing him with the Brimstone blessing can even add a steady stream of bonus damage throughout the fight.
The same strengths carry over into Chimera, where Rhazin enhances ally damage with his debuffs and can remove key buffs with his A1 whenever Block Buffs falls off. He’s a solid pick for players taking on Chimera for the first time, and his utility continues to hold value across difficulties thanks to the reliability of his debuffs.
OTHER AREAS
As highlighted earlier, Rhazin’s ability to apply both Decrease DEF and Weaken is valuable against single target bosses, whether in Doom Tower, Cursed City, Faction Wars, or Clan Bosses. One aspect not emphasized since discussing Fire Knight, however, is his A3’s Turn Meter reduction. While its long cooldown limits how often it can be used, it still provides useful control in the right encounters.
- Against the Dark Fae, Rhazin’s A3 can serve as a strong opener, pushing back the Turn Meters of both your mirrored clones and the boss to help your team gain control and outpace them in the opening phase. As the fight progresses, he can continue cycling this ability to further delay the bosses turns while also applying key debuffs to maximize your team’s damage.
- From an Arena perspective, Rhazin is better suited as a progression option. He can push back enemy Turn Meters to give your team the advantage while dealing respectable damage as you climb through the ranks. He’s also a useful pick for Siege battles with Lizardmen restrictions.
- He’s also a solid option for content like the Spider’s Den, PvE waves for Turn Meter control, or any boss encounters for the debuffs he provides.
How To Build Rhazin Scarhide

Rhazin’s build can vary depending on your account progression, your damage needs, and the encounters you’re tackling. For early to mid-game players, prioritizing Accuracy to reliably land his debuffs is often the main focus. In later stages, however, you can shift toward a more damage oriented setup while still maintaining enough Accuracy to land his debuffs.
- Perception / Accuracy
These sets provide bonus Accuracy through their set bonuses, with Perception also offering extra Speed. Since Rhazin has a low base Speed, this can be especially useful for hitting the required stats in Clan Boss speed tunes, or generally, while still ensuring he lands his debuffs as content difficulty scales. - Relentless + Impulse
This setup is better suited for players who want to use Rhazin’s A3 more often for Turn Meter reduction, particularly if your roster lacks other champions with this utility. The chance to reduce random skill cooldowns and gain Extra Turns helps Rhazin cycle his abilities more quickly, and can even allow him to reuse his A1 sooner to break down the Fire Knight’s shield counters faster. - Savage/Lethal + Perception
This setup is for players looking to squeeze more damage from Rhazin while still maintaining utility, combining Perception for Accuracy and Speed with a damage focused approach. It’s a solid hybrid build, where most of your Accuracy comes from substats and your banner, allowing you to focus your main stats on C.RATE, C.DMG, SPD, and DEF%. - Affinity Breaker
This is definitely a niche build, mainly for encounters where Rhazin faces a negative affinity. While progressing through Arbiter missions, you may want to reduce the risk of weak hits, and this setup offers a 50% chance to turn them into critical hits. With free gear removal available, it can be a situational but useful option for clearing certain stages and getting the job done. - Lifesteal + Perception
As the game has evolved, Lifesteal is no longer essential on every champion, especially with many champions now able to apply Leech for healing through damage dealt. This setup is more suited for players who obtain Rhazin early, lack reliable healers or Leech sources, and need a way to keep him sustained through the early game.
BEST RELICS:
- Gilded Dragonstone
This set increases the wearer’s DEF each time they take damage, with the number of stacks capped based on its upgrade level. It’s a solid way to boost both Rhazin’s sustain and his damage as he’s targeted. - Perched Shadow
This setup is definitely geared toward late-game players tackling Hard Faction Wars. The Extra Turn chance from using his A1 while at least one active skill is on cooldown can be very effective for cycling back to his A3 more often. - Tempus Sanguinis
This increases the wearer’s Turn Meter reduction effects by 15%, making it a solid way to get even more value out of Rhazin’s A3. - Irethi Corenet
As a debuffer who can also deal respectable damage, gaining increased damage each time he places a debuff makes Rhazin especially effective in longer encounters like the Demon Lord or Chimera.
BEST BLESSINGS:
- Brimstone
This blessing is highly effective in boss encounters, granting a chance to place Smite – triggering a meteorite strike on the target whenever they take a turn. The strike deals 25% of the affected champion’s MAX HP and 5% to all other enemies. - Cruelty
Whenever this champion attacks, he can decrease the target’s DEF until the end of the round, triggering once per hit. With Rhazin’s triple-hit A1, he can quickly reach the cap, making it especially effective in fights like the Demon Lord. - Polymorph / Temporal Chains
These blessings are more tailored for PvP. Temporal reduces enemy SPD for each active buff they have, and at higher awakening levels, it also decreases all enemies’ Turn Meters when a target gains their third buff. Polymorph, on the other hand, gives a chance to place Sheep on enemies who try to place debuffs or remove/steal buffs from Rhazin. - Heavencast / Crushing Rend
These blessings cater to a more damage focused build. Heavencast is a strong option up to 1-5 stars, boosting Rhazin’s damage based on the number of buffs he has. At 6 stars, however, it’s better to shift to Crushing Rend, which lets him ignore a percentage of the target’s DEF depending on their level with every hit.
