Ruel the Huntmaster Fusion Guide
Ruel the Huntmaster is a legendary champion from the Dark Elves Faction. Ruel the Huntmaster is obtained by collecting 100 fragments for him, and is one of the only two champions that can use the hex debuff to create huge damage! Either alone or paired with Thea the Tomb Angel, he is a massive damage dealer with the capability to destroy waves of enemies in any content!
There are 120 available fragments WITHOUT winning any Tournaments, so pick your events wisely and ensure that you can get yourself Ruel! – As always an additional +5 Fragments are available for placing 1st or 2nd in any Tournament.
As always, every new event will be updated here as it comes out, with a few tips and tricks to make getting Ruel obtainable, while managing your energy.

Dungeon Divers – 2000 points – 5 fragments
Dragon Tournament – 1800 points – 5 fragments
Tips:
To complete Dungeon Divers with 2,000 points it will require 125 runs of a level 20+ dungeon (minimum) based on 5* rare gear, this lines up with Dragon Tournament which will help you double-dip for rewards. Use your energy into dragon today once it starts to complete both events simultaneously.
To complete Dragon Tournament with 1800 points it will require 112.5 runs maximum (not accounting for ancient shards)/1800 energy at level 20 based on the minimum reward for stage 20-25.
Fusion Update 2:
New Events:
Artifact Enhancement Event 1 – 2625 Points – 5 Fragments
Champion Training Event – 2150/4350/8250 Points – 15 Fragments
To obtain the fragments from today’s event, you need 2625 points from upgrading artifacts. This one is nice and easy will just cost you some of that precious silver of yours!
2625 points are the equivalent of rolling 8x 6* items from 12-16
There are 2 great ways of completing these events:
1. If you pre-rolled your gear to level 7/11/15 before the event, you can go ahead and burn through your silver taking these up by 1 level each to gain quick easy points.
2. The other really good option for these events, is doing a good old gear clear out, roll things that you might want to keep up to see how the stats play out, sell things that you won’t want to keep, a great guide for this is: https://youtu.be/qEEPiLV9rak
To obtain the fragments from the Champion Training Tournament, it’s time to spend some time in the campaign! (This will also help you to finish off Dungeon Divers!)
That backlog of champions you’ve wanted to level? Well, it’s time to give them some love.
8,250 points over 5 days are quite a reasonable amount if you compare it to the last fusion we had, so should be more than manageable my most.
I personally tend to level all of my food during the first event, ready to 6 star several champions on the second event, and find that works well for me – but make sure when levelling food, you maximise your points by giving each champion some levels (throw a few brews into it if necessary) before feeding them!
Do what Hellhades does best, and burn that silver! Happy Raiding!
Fusion Update 3:
New Events:
Champion Chase Tournament – 15 Fragments – 750/1550 points
Classic Arena Takedown – 5 Fragments – 280 points
For this you will need to pull as many shards as you need, you will need BOTH sets of fragments for this fusion. You can also do this with mystery shards for 1 point per shard, if you don’t have other shards to use during the event, but remember – champions from the market and campaign will also count towards these points, which can tie in nicely with Champion Training.
This does line up with Void 2x Event, so good luck on your pulls if you have saved any!
Tips:
As always, for an arena tournament blast your arena tokens till your heart’s content, and a little bit more as this point requirement is quite high this time. Just make sure to get your arena’s in and win as many as you can! (Don’t risk fights that you think you could lose!)
Fusion Update 4:
New Events:
Fire Knight’s Tournament – 1525 points – 5 Fragments
To finish Fire Knight and get yourself the fragments for Ruel, you will need to use roughly 1525 energy, (around 95 runs) of stage 20, based on the worst possible drop rates of only 5 star rare gear. This is a nice easy event, again.. I sense some remorse for the difficulty of Brogni’s Fusion.
Fusion Update 5 (17/05/2021):
New Events:
Dungeon Divers Event – 5 fragments – 2500 points
Dungeon Divers has come just in time for the last-minute rush to finish Champion Training and/or Fire Knight Tournament, so make sure to double-dip your points in those areas if you need them, for the remainder of the event, starting tomorrow we have Ice Golem’s Tournament which will be the best place to use your energy to double-dip rewards and get yourself one step closer to Ruel.
Fusion Update 6 (18/05/2021):
New Events:
Ice Golem Tournament – 5 Fragments – 950 points
This event has REALLY low point requirements, it is incredibly achievable to do, and will take around 950 energy / ~60 runs. This ties in nicely to the Dungeon Divers event and Clan Vs Clan for some extra points everywhere!
Fusion Update 7 (19/05/2021):
New Events:
Artifact Enhancement Event: 5 fragments – 1500 points
Champion Training Tournament: 15 fragments – 2600/6200 points

Todays event, on the 2nd last day of the fusions event cycle, is nice and easy (for most!) 280 points in arena is not a huge ask over 3 days, just make sure you’re picking your fights carefully to get the best win-loss ratio.

New Events:
Summon Rush – 25 fragments – 330/1070/3500 points
Spider Tournament – 5 fragments – 2050 points
To get 3500 points in the summon rush it will take 7 sacred shards, or a combination of other shards. If you’ve completed all events until now the likelihood is you do not need all 25 fragments from this event, so look carefully before you pull shards.
To get the fragments from Spider Tournament, it will take 2050 points, which is roughly 2050 energy / 129 runs on stage 20! This is the highest points yet, but will help you finish off dungeon divers if you need to still!
I wish they had fixed arena first this is a big roadblock in trying to do this fusion .
Do you have a speed guy? Even High Khatun. I got a Lyssandra and her speed is around 280.. That’s good enough to win at least half the speed battles in Gold 4. I just don’t touch Arbiter teams, so I refresh the list at least 30 times a day. Even if I’m not playing I’ll hop in in on my phone, refresh and see what’s there, then get back off. Not sure if that’s helpful at all, but it works for me to max out all the arena tournaments.
To be honest both arena events only account for 10 fragments together (5 each). As you can get 120 fragments without winning any tourneys, you could skip these and still get to 110 points. (depending on shards you have available for the summon and chase events)
If the chart is right, this is F* up… If you do champion chase you dont get enough fragments, so need to do full chase plus summon rush or go all out in summon rush but since, you dont know how many fragments until event starts is almost a gamble…
This feels like a pay wall. Seriously F2P need to save shards for months to do these fusions. I skipped and saved everything between the astralon and brogni fusions, and still couldn’t get mordecai because of the summon rush. Skipping this one too. at least there are easy rewards besides champs.
As a f2p who completed brogni and am easily on course to get ruel, so far at 50 frags out of a possible 55 without spending gems, if you arent hitting nightmare getting shards (i hit unm but was able to do brago hitting nm) you arent ready for the fusion
I’m F2P and could never do summons until I got into a clan that had unlocked NM clan boss. You need those rewards from clan boss daily. If you’re not fighting high enough, and if you aren’t strong enough for good clan boss reward chests, then you’re not ready to succeed at fusions as an F2P.
Now that I’m 2-key UNM and 1-key NM, I get tons of shards monthly. I’ve never spent a cent on this game, and I don’t spend gems much either (have over 6000 right now) and I finish the fusions with ease. It takes time to get to this point, but once you do, it’s not that bad at all.
Im a F2P who is currently on day 60. I completed Brogni as my first event and can only do CB on Brutal and do not have a powerful clan who defeats the boss for double rewards. And I can do these events without relying on progression rewards or long periods of saving shards. You have almost a month or more between the Summon rush events, which means that you get at least 4 ancient, 1 void and 1 sacred without doing anything else except logging in. All you have to do is save about 1k mystic shards over a 30-ish period, which isnt that hard.
Daaamn… completed Brogni on day 60 account?! I’m at >300 and it was a strain… no idea what sorcery you used there, but… wooow….
The luckiest thing is: summon rush at the end with a high amount of em, so you know whether you still want to try and go for it by that time lol. I just hope that means the first shards are relatively easy to get in summon rush instead of all of them being really tough to get…
I was a casual player when this game startet, only had 2 Legendary Champs (Bad-El and Foli), Was inactive till a Month ago… i really wanna try to go for him but i cant get past bronze 2. Maybe ill try to build a team to get to silver.. but i am missing speed gear, arena-matchmaking is crazy for me.
Hey apologies for commenting here as dont know where to put it as relatively new member but FYI Arena Bronze has now become joke! I was comfortable Bronze 4 never got out of it and 6 months in, decent speed team for where i am in game, now cant get out of bronze 2, all leggo teams easily 50k higher all stun and shield sets. I recently just hit 1m power and feel that may be a switch point and wondered if you guys ad any info if people you battle is categorised on player power? Its making me not want to play anymore arena is that rage inducing and hard to progress :( ps love everything you guys do (gamer child of 81) Wolf-Meta
Something in arena changed a month or two ago. They claim they didn’t do anything, but the matchups are crazy. I have a team that’s bouncing between Gold 3 and 4 and sometimes I’ll have to refresh the list 4 or 5 times before I even see a team I’m willing to play against. I don’t have Arbiter, which is almost an auto loss if I go against an Arbiter team. My FTP account is in Bronze 4 and same deal as you’re experiencing, my team is 66k power and I’m up against 100k+ teams.
With 1.4M player power, the opposition in Bronze 1 is almost the same as in Gold 4. The PvP-PvE connection in this game makes absolutely no sense.
so there are 120 to get without winning tournaments right? means i don’t have to get all of them? cuz i don’t think i will be making the 8k points in the training event
Looks like a pretty cool champion and the events aren’t totally unreasonable. I’m just sick of back to back to back fragment/fusion events. I’m taking a break from the events and fusions and might even start scaling back on my daily quests. We’ll see what the next update has to bring
I’ll admit, the bot pages were super o.p in arena, I got to gold 4 with an only half decent team (it’s better now) and even now I’m only level 52, but now I’m stuck in silver 1/2 and can<t get out. All teams are above 100k (the majority over 150k) and meanwhile I'm at 66k or something.
And as for the events, I’ve always thought the summoning rushes were stupid hard, and even the champion training event, after the first 5 shards, you need like 1 000 points just to get one more level. During the event, I did all the work to get my Sepulchar to 6 star and just barely got the thing before the 5 shards.

One question on the topic of Ruel/Thea. Is perhaps a better battle order; 1. Thea’s A1, 2. Ruel nuke, 3. Thea follow on nuke?? Thea’s hex lasts 5 turns. Then she would strip it back off after #3. Would this be more viable??? I’m going after him since my gut tells me to, for some reason I don’t know yet…LOL
after the Brogni fusion, I have been doing the Ruel fusion in easy mode, just playing the game as I normally would.
I opened my Void Shards during 2X, then I noticed I was close to the fragment points, so I used Mystery shards for the rest.
I leveled my champion without stress, upgraded the artifacts I needed to upgrade, ran dungeons without spending any extra energy, played arena as i normally would, without spending any gems.
I was ready to skip the fusion, but I already have 60 fragments, might as well go for it.
Had to give up on this one. I’ve only been playing for 64 days but have made it to lvl54 and realize you have to spend or save for a few months to make the champ chase or summon event. I’m a grinding fool and have the game running none stop. enjoy figuring out strategies and doing the impossible but sometimes it just comes down to is the champ worth the green. For Underpriest, I didn’t have a shield champ or Legendary, so yes. However, having to set up a Hex just get his max damage………pass.
Don’t get me started on Arena, I’m 4 bronze, all competitors 150k + gold champs speed tuned! I can beat about half but just cant get that silver!
I promise i can count; however, the last fragment fusion you guys kept a running count of total fragments you could have earned by that day. Any reason it isnt done this time? i only ask cause i loved the quick info.
i seriously hope they do not place the summon rush at the end scale of the points like that event for brogni – pretty much killed off my hope of getting him when i saw that.

Agree that 10x not compelling. Thankfully, I got all the points offered so far (excepting winning tourneys), so I only need 5 from summoning to finish (plus spiders). I am confident that will allow me to just use green shards to finish as I have 1,000 of those built back up after Brogni. I sure hope they take a break after this as I need to build up my resources again and work on the champs I already have (Ruel will join Yoshi and Brogni naked in the vault). Since Ruel will hurt my arena matchups I guess I need to see how he pairs with Astralon. I’ll drop my dec def champ, let Ruel set the hex, let Astralon stun everyone and then Ruel can come back with his AOE. Anyone who survives that will get to see if Shazar landed bombs and they survive those. That assumes High Khatun was fast enough and I went first. Looks great on paper. It will be disappointing when I realize I don’t have the gear for Ruel and need to farm dungeons for a month before he gets into action.
If anything at least the fusion is forcing me to create a team that can auto-farm spider 14 (I know i’m still early game) to get more accessories which I was seriously lacking!
Either I’m really unlucky or they have drastically reduced the drop rate on level 20 spider
