Ruel the huntmaster fusion is live – but is he worth it?
The next fusion event is live it’s the third one now in 6 weeks. Brogni was one of the hardest fusions in recent memory. But he was worth it.
Is Ruel worth it? Short answer, yes if you have a chance to get any legendary champion you should get them. Legendary champions are the hardest to acquire and even if the champion is not good now. They could get a buff in the future and you will be kicking yourself that you didn’t do the fusion. I know I am for a past fusion event that involved a certain, lost Groom!.
The long answer, honestly, maybe; let’s look at the pros and cons.
The Pros
His base attack is the second-highest in the game.
His A2, unleash the hunt, can hit 50% harder than Trunda Gillmallet if 4 or more enemies have the hex debuff
He has increase accuracy by 50% on his A3, Stalk prey. This can be very useful.
His aura of 20% ally crit rate in all battles is great for early to mid-game players who are struggling to get their champions to 100% crit rate.
He unlocks Thea the tomb angel’s ability to hit extremely hard. This combo rivals the Seer combo.
He is brilliant for the anti-reaction meta.
He is the only Champion in the game that places the Hex Debuff
The Cons
He needs the Hex debuff on the enemies first to unlock his A2 full ability to hit twice.
He is not the best for arena farming on auto.
His base defence is very low which means he will fall over very easily
If you don’t have Thea the tomb angel, and most players don’t, he does lose value.
Ruel is a very niche champion that can excel with the correct setup.
Conclusion
Ruel the Huntmaster is overall a great champion with some flaws, but what champion in the game is perfect. If you bring him into dungeons with the right support he can be your main DPS champion and will get you through those waves and will hit the bosses hard. Doom Tower, The Dragon, and Ice Golem are where he will shine. He is an amazing nuker for your team. Plus, If they release more champions that place the Hex debuff. He will then become incredibly strong!! Viable in all areas of the game and will become the hardest-hitting champion in Raid Shadow legends.
Do you go for the fusion Yes, but keep it fun, do not overexert yourself.

I am going for this fusion because I just like collecting champions. This one isn’t going to be as difficult or resources intense as the last one
I think the biggest reference to future addition of Hex Champions here, is the potential of a support champion who can pre-apply Hex’s to enable Ruel’s nuke capabilities, without him having to take 2 turns. Thea’s Hex application is not enough to enable him, without a debuff spreader.
i can definitely see this happening. look at mordecai. he was a godsend for placing hp burn. he’s not a staple in my spider team. lets hope they will add something to support ruel.
Someday soon there will be 20 champs with hex power, and I will be ready!

yeah if you pair him with thea and make sure he goes first. you have a big nuke combo there
going to try. it sucks that they havent fixed arena so wont get points there. this will be like Yoshi i will be close but no cigar
Arena, CHampionchase and SUmmoning will F me good… so even if i want to go for him, ich cant do 280 Arena wins in 3 days. I have and old account and my Arena-Matchup is just crazy… and this champion chase is just a summoning v2 event. Both in the Numbers i wont achieve since i have no shards sitting around. Every day i play i remember why i did quit this game.
I looked at doing it but the arena has killed off any opportunity . Cant win enough matches .Why would raid not fix arena before doing the fusion .
I don’t think I will be able to get him. I just started about 8 days ago and it seems like I’ll need to spend a decent amount of money to get the resources to get these shards. Sad because he looks neat…
