Versulf the Grim – is he worth it?

With the new fusion Versulf the Grim coming into Raid: Shadow Legends in just a couple of days many people are asking the same question. Is this fusion event worth it?

Versulf the Grim is the latest Fragment Champion event released in Raid: Shadow Legends. His kit is focused on controlling your enemies using Provoke but he also brings some team support in Increase Defence and Ally Protection. Versulf the Grim with the right set-up is the hardest hitting HP based champion in the game, eclipsing Sir Nicholas.

His A1 also provides him with a self shield for 2 turns making him a viable Borgoth, the Scarab King, champion.

Finally, he carries a passive effect similar to Drexthar Bloodtwin where he places provoke when attacked by any champion.

Versulf is exceptional for half of the Doom Tower rotation 1 bosses, Scarab and Magma Dragon and also will help you progress in Knight Revenant FW and can be used for his A3 in Clan Boss!

As ever with Fusion Events in Raid: Shadow Legends, it is all too easy to look at how a champion is now and how it will impact your team, however, as we know in the future anything could happen with these champions and it is ALWAYS advisable that if you can get the fusion, do it…

Vursulf is one of those champions that on initial inspection looked fairly lacklustre, however, after some play testing and seeing just how hard he can hit it will make him a great addition to many accounts.

We are interested to know if you are going to make a push to pick up this champion for your account or are you going to give it a miss? Many people feel burnt out by the constant flow of new champions into the game, but we think that although it is hard to keep up, it keeps the game fresh and moving forward.

Let us know what you think in the comments below.

I just can’t do this event, low on too many resources and I’d rather work on the champs I have until I can pull a miscreated monster.

Yes it seems much but having resources is key. If I have enough i’ll always try to get the fusion. I missed out unfortunately on the fusion event for Astralon and now regret it. You never know a new champ how much help he’ll be in your account until you have him. Thanks HH for the review.

Agree with you there Ozzy, these events are guaranteed Legendary champions. Spending energy, gems and time to get a guaranteed champion is much more efficient.

They usually involve champ training events, dungeon farming events which in turn levels up your food and gets you better gear.

I guess what Sleet is getting at is how tiring it is to keep on grinding week after week. Especially if you are not on PC and playing on mobile phones. Breaks are good to prevent yourself from burning out and leaving the game completely!

I will be going for it. Not sure if I have enough for it or not, but have only one lego right now. So no choice but to try to go for it. Hopefully they will give him solid multipliers.

But i’m more excited about the 10x event. Got Dhukk and Klodd from the last one, waiting to take them to 60 in the fusion and hopefully get a lego in the 10x this time. Fingers crossed.

Sadly no lego again in the pulls. Got three average Epics: Ford, Romero and Juliana. Makes Versulf all the more attractive for me then. Hopefully will be able to get enough frags.

Yes – I went for it – the very first Fusion Champ I decided to put in an all of effort to get. (Need him for clan boss so I can finally complete the Arbiter missions). Had to really put in effort to collect 100 fragments !
