Void Hunters: Is Besemin Worth Building?

Some heroes divide the community. One player calls them underwhelming, another swears they’re game-changing. Sound familiar? These are the exact conversations I’ve seen in Discord referencing Besemin in Void Hunters.

After testing her extensively, I decided to try to break things down properly. Is she worth your resources? Does she live up to the hype? And most importantly, where does she actually shine?

Let’s dive into everything you need to know about this Holy Order support powerhouse.

Besemin’s Kit Overview: Why She’s So Strong

Besemin Skill 2 description

At first glance, Besemin might look like a standard support. Healing, utility, some buffs, nothing too crazy, right?

Wrong.

The real power of Besemin lies in her basic ability. Yes, her basic. She can hit multiple enemies and apply Blind, which reduces enemy hit rate by 100%. That’s not just strong, it’s borderline oppressive in the right scenarios. That dangerous nuke someone has… Completely avoided.

And the best part? She can apply this consistently. That alone is enough to make her strong in my mind, but beyond that:

  • Her Skill 2, Luminant Touch, offers healing, debuff cleansing, and Void Touch cleanse
  • Her Skill 3, Primal Light, is her wildcard ability with a whole host of beneficial effects
  • Her traits enhance her survivability and offer massive offensive synergy with Holy Order allies

The Blind alone is what elevates her into top-tier territory in my mind, but let’s be real, everything else in her kit is strong.

Primal Light: Chaos and Game-Saving Moments

Besemin Skill 3 description

Let’s talk about why people aren’t so hot on Besemin. The most unpredictable ability in her kit: Primal Light.

It comes with a massive cooldown. No really, I mean massive. Its Thirty turns.

Although its never actually that long and this ability can do a whole host of things such as:

  • Strip buffs
  • Reduce turn meter
  • Apply debuffs like Blind and Fear
  • Grant invulnerability or regeneration
  • Revive allies
  • Deal heavy burst damage

Yes, it can do any one of those things… but randomly.

That unpredictability sounds like a downside, but in practice, it’s often clutch. I think its down to the wording at the end of the skill “These effects are different each time Besemin uses this skill, but may slightly depend on the current battle state as Besemin tries to help her allies”. When things go wrong, Primal Light can completely swing a fight back in your favor.

Thanks to the Luminant Touch skill and her Rising Tide trait, that cooldown isn’t as painful as it looks. Luminant touch will reduce the cooldown by 3 at a minimum when not dispelling a debuff. And the trait says every time allies take damage, the cooldown drops. Facing multi-hit enemies? Even better. You will cycle this ability much faster than expected.

Skill & Trait Priority: What to Upgrade First

If you are investing in Besemin, these are the skills I would upgrade first.

Top Priorities:

  • Primal Light for stronger effects
  • Rising Tide (Trait) for Speed, survivability and negating Void Touch
  • Luminant Touch for cooldown manipulation and increase healing

Her Light damage boosting trait is strong, but secondary. Focus on enabling her core mechanics first.

Best Gear Build for Besemin

Besemin Gear

This feels kinda silly with it being an alpha and having less gear sets than I have fingers. But… If you want Besemin to perform at her best, your gear choices matter.

The goal is simple. You need to land Blind consistently and take as many turns as possible. That means you need focus to ensure debuffs land Speed to increase turn frequency. And if it wasn’t already obvious, she does not need damage. Her value comes from control, sustain, and utility.

How to Unlock Lightborne Faster

One of the biggest frustrations I see people have with Besemin is how long it can take for her to reach Lightborne form.

There is a solution, but its sadly not a very obvious one. We know she synergizes heavily with Holy Order teams, especially units that generate Vow effects. But what I bet you didnt know is when an ally like Nathaniel reaches their Vow state, it triggers her transformation.

Without that synergy, it feels slow. With it, she comes online quickly and becomes significantly more impactful.

Hunting Grounds Boon Synergy

Hunting Ground Boons for Besemin

Similar to Bohdan, if there is one place Besemin feels completely broken, it is Hunting Grounds.

Why? Again, just like Bohdan, because of certain boon stacking.

With the right boons, her basic attack can become more potent with things like:

  • Casting multiple times
  • Applying DoTs like Bleed or Poison
  • Or gaining Stun, making her extremely reliable in locking down enemies

If you get all of the above suddenly, that already powerful Blind ability becomes a full control engine. As shown in my video this snowballs hard. Entire waves can be locked before they even act.

Weaknesses: When Blind Isn’t Enough

As powerful as Besemin is, she does have weaknesses. The biggest one is increased Hit Rate counters Blind.

Certain enemies, such as the Carnivale team, can stack additional hit rate through Focus buffs and Carnivale synergy bonuses meaning the Blind is not guaranteed.
As you see in the video some attacks will still land (Angelo). It is not a dealbreaker, but it is something to be aware of in tougher encounters.

Also as stated earlier, she performs best with synergy. Outside of Holy Order setups, she is still strong, but not quite as dominant.

Final Thoughts: Is Besemin Worth It?

So, is Besemin worth building in Void Hunters?

Absolutely.

She brings one of the strongest control tools in the game, she has incredible synergy with Holy Order teams (particular Nathaniel’s Vow), game-saving potential through Primal Light and she can scale well in Hunting Grounds.

She is not just a support. She is a control engine, a safety net, and often the reason your run succeeds.

If you pull her, invest in her. Build around her. Learn her strengths.

And if you are still unsure, give her a try in your next run. You might just find she becomes one of your favourite heroes in Void Hunters.
