Yesterday a video was released by Raid content creator, Ash: Raid Shadow Legends featuring Cirilla, who is part of the Community Manager team at Plarium.
The video was an exclusive interview about what’s coming next in Raid, with some big spoilers about features that will be introduced very soon!
There were several key points covered in the interview, so let’s break them down:
Cirilla released that the development of Void Tower has been placed on hold again, and with everything else they’ve got going on in the near future, its no wonder why. It is still going to be a way to enhance your Champions which is completely different from the Dupe System, although no real information has been released yet.
No new information on the Dupe System was released, apart from the expected release date being confirmed as December 2021. If you’ve been keeping up to date on the Dupe System, you know it will be replacing the sparring pit and there will be 4 ways to make the most out of your Dupes, if you haven’t, here is our article explaining everything we know so far.
When asked about Life Tokens, Cirilla said she was unable to give any more information on which Champions will be available to purchase or on how many Life Tokens the Champions will cost, however she did say that the Champions will be pretty fixed, but will be adapted overtime, however it usually takes Plarium quite some time to adapt and update content, just like the Daily Login Gifts.
There was no new news on Fusion Champions, however Cirilla did confirm that they have no intention of changing the once a month Fusion schedule that we’ve seen for the past year or so.
Tavern Quality Of Life:
In patch 4.8 we were introduced to Barrels and Feasts, which are very much so pay to win items that will be earned through either purchasable packs or events/tournaments. Barrels much like Brews, are used for levelling champions – however they will instantly take the Champion to the maximum level of its respective rank. Feasts will boost any Champion to rank 6, but must be used on a Champion that is already at the max level for its respective rank. It was our assumption that these were the ‘Quality of Life’ changes that Plarium intended on releasing, however we were wrong, the Barrels and Feasts are a new development completely separate from Plarium’s planned Tavern updates which we can expect to be released in spring 2022. Cirilla mentioned 3 improvements that she knows of,
When upgrading a Champions level in the tavern we will no longer be bombarded by max level Champions we have to scroll past to get to the Champion we were trying to level.
When ascending Champions we will no longer have to scroll through and look for the red dot as anything fully ascended will be hidden whilst we are in the ascension tab.
Something we’ve all been waiting for, much like ascension potions – we’ll now have a bar that we can slide to select how many brews we would like to consume to level our Champions up – no more clicking 6 at a time!
Time In Game:
More time saving quality of life updates will be coming in 2022! Cirilla specifically mentioned Super Raids or something similar being introduced for both Faction Wars and Doom Tower, using the same 2-for-1 model, double the energy double the rewards. As of now we are still unsure whether they will be introduced as a permanent feature or be intermittent events much like the current Super Raids and Cirilla offered no clarification on this.
Hydra Boss is a brand new Clan Boss being introduced in the very near future with more information becoming available in the next week or so, so keep your eyes peeled.
All we currently know is that Hydra Boss will be a Clan Boss with multiple heads (our assumption is that each head will be a different affinity although for now this is purely speculative). Once you slay a head it cleanses off all debuffs that have been placed on you and replaces them with a friendly buff.
Head Of Torment:
We also got a first look at one of Hydra Clan Bosses unconfirmed amount of heads, the Head Of Torment which is currently an unconfirmed affinity with 3 confirmed abilities:
A1: Spectral Fangs
Attacks 1 enemy. Has a 50% chance of placing a [Fear] debuff for 2 turns. This debuff cannot be blocked or resisted.
After the first attack, attacks all enemies under [Fear] or [True Fear] debuffs.
[Passive Effect] whenever this head is decapitated, removes all [Fear] and [True Fear] debuffs from all enemy champions then places a [Perfect Veil] buff for 2 turns on 2 random enemy champions.
A2: Curse Storm
Attacks all enemies. Damage increases by 25% for each debuff an enemy is under.
Passive: Almighty Specter
When attacked by enemies not under [Veil] or [Perfect Veil] buffs places a [True Fear] debuff on them for one turn. This debuff cannot be blocked or resisted.
Decreases damage taken from [Poison] debuffs by 90%.
Decreases the damage all Hydra heads take from AoE attacks by 10%.
Damage from skills that scale when based on enemy MAX HP cannot exceed 10% of the head’s MAX HP when attacking this head. Damage taken in one tick from [HP burn] debuffs cannot exceed 20,000 HP. Damage taken from reflected damage, the Warmaster Mastery or the Giant Slayer Mastery cannot exceed 50,000 per attack.
Immune to [Stun],[Freeze],[Sleep],[Provoke],[Block Active Skills],[Block Passive Skills],[Fear],[True Fear], and [Petrification] debuffs. Also immune to HP exchange effects, HP balancing effects, cooldown increasing effects and Turn Meter reduction effects.
We will keep the website updated as more information is released regarding Hydra Clan Boss in the following weeks ready for the patch update.
Cirilla mentioned that Plarium’s main focus for 2022 will be PvP based, although no more information has been given on future plans yet.
Overall there was a lot of recapping information we already know and a lot of juicy information released on the new Hydra Clan Boss.
What do you think the new Hydra Clan Boss will be about? Let us know in the comments.
