YST’S Hard Fire Knight Dream Team!
How’s it going, everyone? YST here, and today I’m sharing the team I built to speed farm the Hard Fire Knight. Ever since I saw Hell Hades showcase a world record team created by Callous back in 2023, I’ve had my eye on crafting something similar. That team featured both Cardiel and Lonatharil – two champions I still don’t own – but the core idea was to run two full team Ally Attackers alongside Gnut and a reset champion. The main reason I wanted to build a team like this was to include Genzin, while also creating a setup that could efficiently speed farm for tournament points. Let’s break down the team in more detail!
TEAM BREAKDOWN
The main reason I didn’t build this team earlier came down to two things: I wanted it to have a 100% success rate, and without the right gear, stats, and blessings, I just couldn’t make it consistently work. Additionally, many of these champions are key parts of my other teams, and I didn’t want to break their speed tunes for different areas of the game.
Over time, I managed to pull the souls I needed to make it reliable, even without fine-tuning. However, reaching the necessary speeds to outpace the boss and having enough damage to clear the waves quickly is still crucial for success. On average, the team clears Stage 10 of Hard Fire Knight in around 1:13 to 1:30.
GENZIN
It’s no surprise he’s my favourite champion at this point, but Genzin actually brings some seriously valuable utility to this fight, making him perfect for speed farming. With strong damage multipliers across his kit, he can quickly clear enemy waves using a mix of AoE and single-target attacks. His triple-hitting A1 is great for triggering Phantom Touch and landing solid hits to break down the Fire Knight’s shield, while also applying Decrease Defence to boost overall damage.
On top of that, all of his abilities help increase his Turn Meter, allowing him to cycle through his turns faster and keep up the pressure. I’m currently running him at over 280 Speed with solid damage stats, but I’ll showcase the full build a little later
LADY MIKAGE
This Shadowkin Mythical has incredible synergy with Genzin, thanks to her A1, which enables an ally attack with a champion from her faction – perfect for boosting Genzin’s damage against waves and the boss. The main reason she’s in the team is for her full team ally attack, which helps quickly deplete the boss’s shield and allows Gnut to push back the Turn Meter with his Freeze debuffs. On top of that, her Increase Attack and Increase Crit Damage buffs significantly boost the overall damage output of Genzin and the rest of the squad.
GNUT
It’s no surprise what Gnut brings to the table – his triple-hitting Enemy Max HP nuke, which also decreases the target’s defence. Paired with a reset champion, he can quickly cycle back to this skill, allowing him to unleash it back-to-back and rapidly deplete the boss’s health, especially when combined with Genzin’s raw damage. Additionally, the team’s Ally Attacks ensure A1 hits while the boss’s shield is down, which are converted into Freeze debuffs on Hard difficulty, to reduce the boss’s Turn Meter.
This gives the team enough time to cycle back to their rturns and finish off the boss before it takes a turn. On top of that, Gnut’s AoE attack applies Weaken and Decrease Attack, helping to clear waves faster and offering valuable support against the boss in different team setups.
GRAND OAK PADRAIG
Grand Oak plays a similar role to Mikage in this team, providing a full team Ally Attack to quickly deplete the boss’s shield and deal heavy damage once it’s down. In other teams I’ve run, his combination of Increase Speed, cleanse, and Turn Meter fill is great for removing debuffs if you take a hit, or for cycling turns even if you don’t. In this setup, he’s locked to using only his Ally Attack during the boss phase, ensuring Gnut can maintain control and the shield is instantly broken. Additionally, his Speed aura makes it easier to reach the necessary stats to cycle back to your turns.
PRINCE KYMAR
Kymar is in the team for one key reason: he resets the cooldowns of all ally skills and provides a 20% Turn Meter fill to ensure the boss doesn’t cut in. Since there’s no Decrease Speed in this team, and Grand Oak isn’t prioritized to use his Increase Speed and Turn Meter ability, I found Kymar’s Turn Meter boost essential for cycling back to my allies’ turns. This allows Gnut to unleash his Blessed Bash twice, while the ally attackers lead the team in for additional control and damage.
On top of that, Kymar’s Soul Reap blessing lands the finishing blow to secure the kill on the boss. Without Soul Reap, I often found myself falling just short of a 100% success rate, so fitting this blessing into your team is highly recommended – just make sure the champion using it consistently hits the boss at the right threshold for your star level.
CHAMPION BUILDS
Above, I’ve attached images to show the current builds I’m using.
Below, I’ve highlighted some key stats for the roles each champion brings to the team, along with which skills are being prioritized. Against the waves, it’s important to lock out all active skills from allies except Genzin, who is used to wipe them out. Genzin opens with his A1 through pre-sets to deplete the Fire Knight’s shield counters, followed by his Decrease Defence to boost team damage.
Kymar is slightly faster than the others in the team, so make sure he opens with his A1 if that’s the case on your account – unless you speed-tune him to go after everyone else. The rest of the team should be set up so Kymar resets their cooldowns after they’ve used their key skills, prioritizing Gnut’s Blessed Bash to follow the Ally Attacks and help bring down the boss’s health quickly.
GENZIN
- Speed: 284 – This high speed allows him to cycle through his turns quickly, clearing waves efficiently and dealing significant damage to the boss.
- Crit Rate: 100%
- Crit Damage: 317%
- Attack: 6,390
He’s also using a 5 star Phantom Touch blessing, which has a chance of inflicting bonus damage with each hit. This works perfectly with his multi-hitting abilities, like his triple hit A1, helping to break the Fire Knight’s shield while adding extra damage throughout the fight. I tested to see if he’s still viable without sets like Lethal or Merciless, and he still performs great with these stats.
Opening with his A1 during the boss phase is ideal to help deplete the Shield, followed by his Decrease Defence to boost damage, then continuing with more A1s after that. Against the waves, it doesn’t particularly matter which skills you prioritize, but timing his AoE to hit each wave is ideal for clearing them efficiently.
LADY MIKAGE
- Speed: 329 – This high speed allows her to apply, then reapply, her Ally Attack skill after Kymar’s reset. This is crucial for depleting the Fire Knight’s shield and helping the team control and deal damage to the boss. Her other skills are disabled through pre-sets to ensure she focuses solely on enabling the Ally Attack at the right times. Once this cycle is finished, I use purely her A1 for additional team up attacks with Genzin.
The rest of her stats are built for survivability and accuracy for elsewhere in the game, but the speed is the key factor in making this strategy work smoothly.
GNUT
- Defence: 3,997 – His primary damage scales from defence, so stacking this is crucial for maximizing his damage and overall survivability.
- Crit Rate: 100% – Fully capped to ensure he lands critical hits.
- Crit Damage: 210% – A solid crit damage stat to enhance his damage, particularly to cap his Enemy Max HP skill.
- Speed: 258 – High enough to keep him cycling through turns, but tuned to work in sync with the team.
In terms of skills, all abilities are disabled except for his Blessed Bash against the boss, which is set as his number one priority. Outside of that, he uses his A1 to help control the boss, contributing to Turn Meter reduction through Freeze, and consistent hits when the shield is down. He’s also got Phantom Touch.
GRAND OAK PADRAIG
- Speed: 305 – This high speed ensures he cycles through his turns quickly, allowing him to consistently use his Ally Attack skill to help deplete the Fire Knight’s shield. His other skills are disabled through pre-sets, so he focuses solely on this ability during the boss phase, maintaining control and supporting the team’s damage output.
PRINCE KYMAR
- Prince Kymar is built with 345 speed in this setup. While he’s primarily geared for other areas of the game, his speed works perfectly here to reset the cooldowns of my allies’ skills. This allows the team to maintain control and defeat the boss before it has a chance to take a turn.
Additionally, I selected this champion as my Soul Reap user, which at 5 stars can finish off the boss from a 14% HP threshold. Make sure whichever ally you assign this blessing to is landing one of the final hits, as without it, I found the boss taking a turn and disrupting the speed clear.
