New Raid Champions Incoming
We’ve got seven new Raid: Shadow Legends Champions incoming in the next update. We’ve already seen The Incarnate, who will be available in the next Fusion Event, but who else will be joining the ranks?
There’s everything from a shapeshifting shadowthief to a dual-wielding lizard assassin. Let’s dive in!
The Incarnate – Fusion
Rarity:
Type:

Faction:
Legendary
DEF

High Elves
The Incarnate is the current Fusion Champion. In addition to being specialised to work with Arbiter, she looks to be the most solid choice for the mid-game out of all these new Raid Champions.
The Incarnate’s A1 fits in with her defence-focused lore. This skill hits a single target twice, with each hit having a 30% chance to debuff the enemy with [Provoke]. This chance rises to 50% when fully upgraded. She also has a 10% chance to counterattack with this skill if an ally Arbiter is hit.
Her A2 hits all enemies, and can not only remove enemy [Shield] buffs (a 75% chance at skill level 1) – she will also add [Shield] to all allies for two turns.
Being able to protect the team with [Ally Protection] in combination with a boost from [Strengthen] with her A3 rounds out her defensive kit nicely.
Even better, The Incarnate has two Passives that further bolster your team’s defences when they are under [Ally Protection].
All in all, The Incarnate will be a great Champion for mid-game players. Her protection skills will help carry teams through most mid-game content easily.
PvP players running Arbiter SPD teams might also find her valuable, and she should prove useful to Doom Tower and Clan Boss teams to some extent.
Nais the Shadowthief
Rarity:
Type:
Affinity:
Faction:
Mythical
HP/ATK
Magic
Sylvan Watchers
Nias is one of the new Raid Champions from the Sylvan Watchers Faction. He’s an HP type hero in his first form, switching to an ATK type in his raven (or chicken?) form.
He has some very potent attacks – even his A1 single target attack ignores [Shield], [Unkillable], and [Block Damage].
His A2 is also a big hitter with a Turn Meter steal that can’t be resisted if enemies have a Turn Meter over 50%. It also ignores [Shield], like his A1. Ouch.
Finally, Nias’s A3 is a laser-focused Boss demolisher, dealing double damage to Bosses. It also has solid utility, however, thanks to the fact that non-bosses hit by this skill will suffer multiple 10% stat debuffs, while Nias gains an equivalent boost.
Last, but certainly not least, his Passive makes him increasingly lethal as fights continue. For every 10% of HP the target loses, Nais will deal 5% more damage. If that wasn’t enough, the Passive also gives him an “extra life” – on a fatal hit, he will simply be reduced to 1 HP and transform into his Alternate Form.
Overall, this makes Nais an obvious choice for any Dungeon or Boss run. He should also be particularly effective against certain Doom Tower bosses like Magma Dragon, Nether Spider, and Celestial Griffin.
Vizug the Noxious
Rarity:
Type:
Affinity:
Faction:
Legendary
HP
Magic
Ogryn Tribes
He might not be the prettiest of these new Raid Champions, but what did you expect for an Ogryn? Besides, who needs looks when you’ve got such a powerful wave-clearing kit.
Vizug’s A1 attacks all enemies and has a 35% chance to activate any [Poison] or [HP Burn] debuffs affecting his targets. That’s already pretty good when we consider his A2, and it gets even better – with this skill fully upgraded, the activation chance rises to 50%!
His A2 starts out with a 75% chance to inflict a 5% [Poison] and [HP Burn] on all enemies for two turns. Upgrade this skill to the maximum, and it’s a 100% chance. When triggered with his A1, this can bring some serious hurt.
The A3 is also impressive. Another skill that attacks all enemies, this one also buffs your team with 50% [Increase ACC] for two turns, decreases ally debuffs by one turn, AND increases enemy debuff duration by one turn.
Vizug’s Unity Passive boosts your whole team’s ACC by 10 for every [Hp Burn] and [Poison] debuff on the enemy – making it even easier to sustain these debuffs as the fight progresses. This passive also grants increasingly powerful bonuses to debuff damage the more Ogryn Tribes Faction allies you have in the team. At three or more, [Poison] and [HP Burn] debuffs cannot be removed or stolen
Vizug’s kit makes him a strong choice for Clan Boss, Hydra, and certain Doom Tower Bosses. He’ll also be great for smashing through Dungeons (including Hard Mode Dungeons). Spider, in particular, could be in for some serious squashing from teams fielding Vizug.
Yncensa Grail-Bearer
Rarity:
Type:
Affinity:
Faction:
Legendary
Support
Void
Sylvan Watchers
There are two important things to note about Yncensa: She likes wearing plants, and she has [Poison Cloud]. That’s not all – she also has a pretty impressive overall kit!
Her Aura gives the team a +70 boost to ACC, so landing those debuffs will be much easier.
Yncensa’s A1 attacks all enemies, with a 50% chance of debuffing enemies with 50% [Decrease ATK] for two turns. Not bad, but here’s the interesting part – this skill also triggers an Ally Attack, where the ally with the highest C.DMG will attack the enemy with the lowest HP.
As an A1, with no cooldown, this could help teams carve through waves in no time.
Then we get to her A2: A buff that places not only a [Poison Cloud], but also an [Increase SPD] and 15% [Continuous Heal] buffs on a single target for two turns – AND fills their Turn Meter by 50%!
Yncensa’s A3 is equally as brutal, attacking all enemies with a 75% chance to place a 60% [Decrease DEF] debuff, and a 25% [Weaken] debuff for two turns. What makes this even more powerful is the fact this attack ignores [Block Debuffs]!
Lastly, her Passive grants Yncensa increased + 10 ACC for each buff on an enemy, and whenever enemies add buffs, their Turn Meter will decrease by 10%.
As you might expect after reading through her kit, Yncensa is going to be a monster! Her ability to simply ignore [Block Debuffs] while punishing enemy teams for buffing will be very powerful in the Arena.
She’ll be a great choice for most Dungeon content too, especially Ice Golem, Dragon, and Spider.
Mathias Blackflail
Rarity:
Type:
Affinity:
Faction:
Legendary
HP
Force
Sacred Order
Who needs two hands when you’ve got a spiked flail? Mathias Blackflail certainly doesn’t. What he does have, though, is a kit that makes him a strong HP damage dealer.
Mathias’s A1 hits a single enemy three times, and each hit has a 30% chance to remove a random buff from the target. Mathias will also heal himself for 20% of the damage he deals.
The A2 hits all enemies and gives Mathais an extra hit on any enemies that are not buffed. Once again, he’ll heal himself for 20% of the damage dealt. To top it off, this skill also ignores 20% of the enemy’s DEF.
His A3 is a team buff skill. Mathias places a 50% [Increase RES] and a 30% [Reflect Damage] buff on his teammates for two turns, while also giving himself [Taunt].
Mathias’s Passive boosts his A3, by providing counterattacks with his A1 whenever he is hit while under [Taunt].
What we have here is a dependable-looking HP-based damager dealer that should perform pretty well in most Boss and Dungeon content, especially Fire Knight. The fact he can remove buffs also makes him viable for Arena teams.
Slixus Stripehide
Rarity:
Type:
Affinity:
Faction:
Epic
ATK
Void
Lizardmen
Slixus certainly looks the part of a scaly stealth assassin, and his ATK focus reinforces his ninja persona – but does his kit deliver the same in-game?
First off, his A1 is a double hit single enemy attack that has a 30% chance of dealing [Stun] to the target. This increases to 50% when fully leveled, with a decent 15% damage boost on top. Overall, pretty solid.
Slixus’s A2 is where we see his intended role as a pure damage dealer come into play. It’s another single-target double hitter that ignores [Shield], [Increase DEF], and [Strengthen] buffs. Slixus will also heal by 20% of the damage inflicted.
His A3 attacks all enemies, while also granting a decent 30% [Increase C. Rate] and [Increase C.DMG] boost on Slixus before he attacks.
With a Passive that stacks his C.DMG by 10% (up to 30%) every time he kills an enemy, it’s clear Slixus is a pure and simple nuker. What’s interesting about his Passive, however, is the fact that this bonus does not reset if he dies! What’s more, when he kills an enemy with his A2, his next attack ignores 30% of the enemy’s defence.
Overall, Slixus makes for a decent Arena Champion, and will certainly bring some serious damage to Arena teams using Mithrala Lifebane.
That said, he’s not too different from Genbo or Coldheart. While he’s certainly cool (blooded), he may not be the most essential of these new Raid Champions to add to your roster.
Ingid Twyst-Staff
Rarity:
Type:
Affinity:
Faction:
Rare
Support
Spirit
Sylvan Watchers
Another of the new Raid Champions joining the Sylvan Watcher’s increasingly excellent Rare Champion lineup is Ingid. His kit has some good wave-clearing power, and he seems to have good general-purpose potential. Failing that, there’s a good chance he’ll be needed for the upcoming Legendary Fusion Event – so he’s probably useful to have either way.
Ingid’s Aura increases all allies’ ACC by 30, making him a good leader for debuff-heavy teams.
His A1 is a single-target double-hit attack, which also has a 15% chance to inflict 30% a [Decrease DEF] for two turns. This can increase to a 30% chance when fully upgraded.
We shift to an all-enemy attack for Ingid’s A2. This skill will also increase Ingid’s Turn Meter by 5% per enemy affected by the [Leech] debuff.
Ingid’s A3 is essentially his setup skill – and probably your opener with this Champion. It attacks all enemies, while also adding a 25% increase to ACC for all allies for two turns. Additionally, the attack has a 50% chance of landing the [Leech] debuff on all targets. This chance increases to 75% when fully leveled. Use this in combination with his A2 for a decent Turn Meter boost, depending on how many enemies you’re facing.
In terms of Bosses and Dungeons, Ingid should have some utility against Clan Boss and Ice Golem. All in all, he’s a decent Rare Champion that should be useful in most mid-game (and some late-game) content, although he could struggle to hold his own in tougher areas.
