Raid Weekly Recap Nov 20-27th

Plarium has recently begun sending out “City Tour” inbox items to some of the most prominent creators in RAID Shadow Legends, as what seems to be a way to start teasing the big PvE content release that has been promised for a while to be delivered before the end of 2023. HellHades has a video showcasing this here in his video titled “HUGE EXCLUSIVE PATCH INFO REVEAL!”.

HellHades started to theorycraft some things like:

• This could be better than Doom Tower
• Based on a Lighthouse which could be tall like more “tower” type content
• A lot of work seems to be going into this content release
• There should be a “What’s Next in RAID” video within the next week or so giving more info

Long-time content creator and gamer in the RAID Shadow Legends community JGigs, known for his f2p series and comedy skits, has been calling on other RAID creators and members of the RAID community to start a “NoDimeDecember” movement next month. For a more in-depth explanation of his reasoning for initiating this, he collaborated with DeadwoodJedi, in a 47-minute video where they discussed the drive to get Plarium’s attention about the state of the game by not spending.

Feelings have initially been a bit mixed but mostly in support for something like this, after the addition of Xena Warrior Princess to the game by selling her as a new champion with a new tactic that of exclusivity attached to a monetary amount.

HH Gaming’s very own Saphyrra discussed this topic and felt like monetisation was not the core issue but rather he wanted to see more community engagement and trust building from Plarium and more content added to the game. You can watch that video here

HellHades released a video titled “I DIDN’T EXPECT TO GET HERE” as a summary of the last 4 years of the journey from a completely different corporate career, to starting out with nothing but a gaming laptop and no content creator experience, branching out into the RAID Shadow Legends community.

The main goal of the video was to thank the viewers and supporters, while summarizing the past, and showcasing the future with projects like Fateless developing games.

The current fusion champion, Ugir the Wyrmeater, of the Ogryn Tribes, will be getting an update to his kit at the beginning of 2024. His “Scourge of Dragons” Passive ability, will now instantly activate his A2 “Earth Puncture”, on BOTH active and passive revive skills. Plarium stated that this was mainly done to increase his effectiveness against Sun Wukong and Marichka the Unbreakable. This change will not be reflected in game, as Plarium said due to a tight development schedule right now, that this change will actually go live at the start of 2024. 

Some players in the community were voicing frustrations about this, because this may have changed their decision to start going after the fusion, but now it would be too late to make that decision based on this change. Plarium’s response to this was that this wasn’t technically a rebalance, but a by-product of technical optimizations that are planned for 2024.

The next iteration of rewards part of an Amazon Prime promotion became claimable this week, featuring 25 Force Affinity XP Brews, a 4 Star Chicken, 500 Energy, and 10 Superior Force Ascension Potions. You can claim these in-game by copying the code from the link they provide, then pasting that code as a Promo Code. The next iteration of rewards will be claimable on December 18th, 2023. 

MID12GAME and ILOVERAID are still available to players so make sure you claim them for some mini rewards!

There was a massive summoning boost weekend that Plarium said was because of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Saturday for 2x Ancients, Sunday for 2x Voids, and Monday for 2x Sacreds.
