Lysanthir Beastbane Overview
Decades ago, a grand tournament was held in Teleria to test the might of the kingdom’s strongest warriors. Among them stood Lysanthir, who earned the title of “The Survivalist” for always turning the tide of battle just when defeat seemed certain. Though he emerged victorious against countless foes, it was the mighty heads of the Hydra that left him blind. Now, even without sight, Lysanthir uses Echobolts and relies on his sharpened senses to slay the Hydra without ever laying eyes on it. Lysanthir Beastbane is the Fusion champion of April 2025.
This High Elves Legendary has a kit designed to take on the Hydra, though his effects and damage are useful across many areas of the game. His passive allows him to ignore both Life Barrier and Ally Protection, making it easier to free allies from Digestion if they’re under this shield from the Head of Decay. This helps improve consistency in runs – whether by rescuing allies or taking down the head faster to prevent a head healing when the counter wears off. Of course, if Decay is constantly under Provoke you won’t need to worry, but this serves as a great backup for times when you’re resisted or don’t cycle to your control skills in time.
Opening with his A3, this double hitting AoE attack places both Decrease Speed and Weaken on all enemies, and if they’re under Hex, the debuffs are applied before the attack. This is a strong combo to slow down enemies and boost your team’s damage, and placing the debuffs beforehand means they can still land if he weak hits. Lysanthir can apply Hex himself through his A1, which also places Increase Crit Damage on him – so pairing him with champions who bring Ally Attacks, Counterattacks, AoE Hex, or Debuff Spread can be a great way to maximise his effectiveness.
Leading into his A2, it’s a single target attack that hits twice, with a 20% chance to repeat the attack. What makes this skill unique is that it becomes the priority when this champion counterattacks or teams up with allies, allowing for more frequent damage output if you’re bringing Ally Attack or Counterattack champions. The chance to repeat attacks is strong – similar to champions like Thor or Fu-Shan – for taking down Hydra heads faster or even bosses like Amius. Additionally, he gains 10% extra damage each time an ally is devoured [up to 50%], and increases his Defence by 5% [up to 50%] for each buff he’s under.
