Varl the Destroyer Overview

Duel wielding his ferocious blades, this destroyer ravages anyone standing in his path! Varl The Destroyer is a Legendary Spirit Attack champion residing from the Orcs Faction.

Varl The Destroyer is earned by gathering fragments from completing Secret Rooms in the Hard Doom Tower, and his skills revolve around damage & Debuffs! The predominant part of his kit would be the Mass Murder passive, which increases this Champion’s ATK by 10% each time he uses an Active Skill (Non-A1), which stacks up to 100% and will reset each round. When we refer to single round content such as The Demon Lord Clan Boss, or simply the Hydra [As examples], the scalability factor coinciding amongst an optimal team synergy will lead to insane damage potentials. Opening with the Lay Waste [A2], this champion attacks all enemies whilst placing a 25% Weaken Debuff, which also places a 50% Decrease Attack on enemies who receive the Weaken. These are two extremely valuable Debuffs for damage amplification / mitigation, therefore utilising this in most areas in Raid will be effective.

The Calamity Torrent [A3] consists of single target nukes, which can both Ignore 30% of a targets Defence, whilst also Decreasing the target’s MAX HP by 50% of the damage inflicted, followed by placing a Block Damage upon himself when this kills an enemy. Some highlight examples to utilise these would once again be the Clan Bosses, although the decreasing of Max HP will be valuable against the Scarab King to reduce the bosses shield! This may also be useful for Faction War runs, single target Arena Nukes, or simply most single target boss encounters. Last but not least, his A1 has a way of self healing by 30% of the damage inflicted.

Understanding Arena Roles

Champions normally form specific roles within an arena team. Our ratings define the roles that the champion fits and rates them on their ability to perform the roles. Below you can see a breakdown of all of our roles.

Cleanser

Champions with the Cleanser role will use their skills to remove debuffs and keep them from being re-applied.

Crowd Control

Champions with the Crowd Control role will use their skills to place soft (i.e. Provoke or Taunt) and hard (i.e Freeze or Stun) debuffs to disable enemy champions.

Damage

Champions with the Damage role will have skills that deal significant damage and are designed to defeat enemy champions.

Damage Absorption

Champions with the Damage Absorption role will have skills or effects that reduce the incoming damage your team takes. This can be through passive damage reduction or by applying skills such as Strengthen or Shields.

Healer

Champions with the Healer role will have skills that restore your champion's Health including Continuous Heals.

Debuffer

Champions with the Debuffer role will have skills that place debuffs that don't fall into Crowd Control or Skill Manipulator roles i.e. Decrease Defence. These champions may also have skills that remove Buffs.

Revive

Champions with the Revive role will have skills that bring your ally champions back from the dead including Revive on Death buffs.

Skill Manipulator

Champions with the Skill Manipulator role will have skills that increase enemy skill cooldowns or reduce your ally skill cooldowns.

Speed Manipulator

Champions with the Speed Manipulator role will have skills that affect the turn meter of your allies or enemies. This includes speed buffs and debuffs aswell as direct turn meter effects.
