Sanguine Maria Fusion Guide – RAID: Shadow Legends

Welcome to the Sanguine Maria Fusion Guide, where we will provide you with all of the information necessary to complete this year's RAID October Fusion, a special Force Legendary!

This Fusion is a Hybrid Fusion, meaning instead of collecting Rare Champions or Fragments, we will be collecting Fragments for Epics Champions, before ranking them up and fusing the Legendary Champion, Sanguine Maria.

Be sure to check back daily to see our breakdown of how many points you will need in each event and the best ways to achieve this.

Fusion Type: Hybrid

Sanguine Maria is a Hybrid Fusion, rather than the standard 'Fusion Event' or 'Fragment Collector' we are more commonly used to, this means, that instead of collecting Fragments or Champions to fuse him – we get to do both! We will be collecting 4 Epic Champions, by collecting 100 Fragments for each of them – which are then fused into Sanguine Maria!

Once you have collected enough fragments for all four epics, you will need to rank them at level 50 and rank 5 and fully ascend them!

These fragments will be collected by completing Fusion Events and Tournaments, which will be rewarded with specific Point Milestones.

One important thing to note with Hybrid Fusions is just like Traditional Fusions – you will need to finish this Fusion (and Summon them) during the window, which is clearly labelled with a countdown – you CANNOT hold off summoning her for the future, unlike with a Fragment Collector.

Sanguine Maria Fusion Events

As part of the Fusion, we will have 2 core summoning events in the Fusion Schedule, one Summon Rush, and one Champion Chase Tournament. We will also get a Hero's Path, containing an additional 75 Fragments, making the total available 450 Fragments with a required 400 Fragments.

  • Friday, Oct 24th – Summon Rush Event
  • Monday, Oct 27th – Hero's Path
  • Friday, Oct 31st – Champion Chase Tournaments

With Super-Raids now being a permanent Feature in Dungeons, Plarium used to enable them especially for Fusions, however, we now get special events for each dungeon, this time around we will have:

  • On Friday, Oct 24th, we're planning to launch x2 event for dropping Reflex set artifacts at Ice Golem's Peak.
  • On Monday, Oct 27th, we're planning to launch x2 event for dropping Undead Hordes Accesories at Spiders Den.
  • Also, on Thursday, October 30th, we're planning to launch x2 event for dropping Savage set artifacts at Fire Knight's Castle.
  • And moreover, on Sunday, November 2nd, we're planning to launch x2 event for dropping Speed set artifacts at Dragon's Lair.

These boosts will coincide with their respective Dungeon Tournament throughout the Fusion Event!

Finally, As this Fusion contains a several different summoning events, you will need to plan ahead to determine if you can achieve this. We don't know the exact point requirements for the summon rush so far but you will need to be prepared. Use our summon rush calculator below to see how many points you can currently earn.

Use this calculator to see if you have enough shards for the fusion.

Input the number of shards you currently have to see how many points they are worth.

Update: Day 1 – Thursday, October 23rd

New Events:

  • Gear Hunters Event – 3700 Points – 25 Fragments (25/400)
  • Champion Training Tournament – 6800 Points – 25 Fragments (50/400)

Welcome to the Sanguine Maria Fusion. Today marks the start of the event, but unfortunately, we'll have to wait till tomorrow to fully dive in, as we wait for the Ice Golem Tournament before completing the Gear Hunters Event (Dungeon Divers).

For the Gear Hunters Event (Dungeon Divers), You will need to acquire 3700 Points which is standard for this kind of event. However, this one is far less friendly for your resources with limited events to double or triple dip for maximum gains.  This calculates on average to 304 runs of Stage 20 normal dungeons. This will cost you around 4,864 energy or around 273 runs of Stage 10 Hard at a cost of 5,460 energy.

To maximize your points in the Champion Training Tournament, it is important to level up your chickens before using them as food. You can easily achieve this by adding some brews to the 4*/5* chickens before feeding them. This simple step will greatly assist you in achieving the necessary points to successfully complete the Event – You can also use Skill Tomes to gain large chunks of points here, so keep that in mind!

For further information on how to best complete these events efficiently, be sure to check out our Champion Upgrade Guide.

Use this opportunity to prepare the required food (See Fusion Requirements above) to complete the necessary upgrades to finish this Fusion.

Update: Day 2 – Friday, October 24th

We don't just have new events today, but also Maria herself has seen some changes to her kit. In a message from Plarium, Sanguine Maria was A1 mechanic resulted in her taking a nearly infinite number of turns against Bosses, effectively preventing them from ever acting. As a result there have been changes implemented to her kit which we have put in the skills tab above.

New Events:

  • Gear Enhancement Event – 4775 Points – 25 Fragments (75/400)
  • Summon Rush – 3000 Points – 25 Fragments (100/400)
  • Ice Golem Tournament – 2250 Points – 25 Fragments (125/400)

It's day 2 and now time to get going! As we mentioned in yesterday's update, we had to play a bit of a waiting game for the Ice Golem Tournament to start to be efficient with our energy usage, but that wait is now over.

Firstly we have the Gear Enhancement Event which can be done in two ways: you can gear cleanse to the points or you can upgrade pieces to rank 16.

Gear Cleansing Route

If you have a number of artifacts on level 1, an efficient way to claim the rare Champion is to upgrade Artifacts to level 8 or 12 and then sell the items for silver. This still remains a negative silver gain but it's far less punishing than upgrading Artifacts to level 16. You may choose to keep some good pieces (a bonus!). This route might take only 10-15 million silver to complete the event.

Gear Upgrading Route

If you are looking to complete some Champion builds, then Level 16 artifacts are important to maximise their potential. We highly recommend you prioritise Artifacts instead of upgrading Accessories as this will be significantly less silver to complete the event. This route will take you approximately 20 million silver to complete.

Next up, It's Summon Day! For anybody going after the Summon Rush Event, it's time to pick your choice of Champions to go for in the Progressive Summon Event.

3,000 Points in the Summon Rush Event is equivalent to 6 Sacred Shards, or a combination of other shards to meet the point requirement for the 25 Fragments!

Use this opportunity to prepare the required food (See Fusion Requirements above) to complete the necessary upgrades to finish this Fusion.

Lastly, the Ice Golem Tournament. You will need to acquire 2250 Points and this calculates to roughly 140 runs of Stage 20 normal at a cost of 2,240 energy or around 120 runs of Stage 10 Hard at a cost of 2,400 energy. Running Stage 20 Normal is the most energy-efficient route when it comes to fusion tournaments (unlike turn attack tournaments which require a high stage). These rates are an average assessment therefore some of you may high roll or low roll your gear requiring slightly less or slightly more runs.

Update: Day 3 – Saturday, October 25th

New Events:

  • Classic Arena Takedown – 390 Points – 25 Fragments (150/400)

With no major changes to Sanguine Maria herself today we just have the arena takedown today.

The classic arena takedown should be relatively straightforward if you are able to fight and win at least half of your daily tokens. At Gold 5 you need to win 30 fights over 72 hours to claim the Fragments. This will scale lower so pay attention but if you are lower in your account level then your point requirements should scale with your arena rank.

Update: Day 5 – Monday, October 27th

New Events:

  • Spider Tournament – 2250 Points – 25 Fragments (175/400)
  • Hero's Path – 18250 points for 25, 46250 for 75 Fragments (250/400)

For the Spider Tournament, You will need to acquire 2250 Points and this calculates to roughly 140 runs of Stage 20 normal at a cost of 2,240 energy or around 120 runs of Stage 10 Hard at a cost of 2,400 energy. Running Stage 20 Normal is the most energy-efficient route when it comes to fusion tournaments (unlike turn attack tournaments which require a high stage). These rates are an average assessment therefore some of you may high roll or low roll your gear requiring slightly less or slightly more runs.

For the Hero's Path event please check out our dedicated guide releasing a little later on today.

Update: Day 6 – Tuesday, October 28th

New Events:

  • Gear Enhancement Event – 4775 Points – 25 Fragments (275/400)

Today we have the Gear Enhancement Event which can be done in two ways: you can gear cleanse to the points or you can upgrade pieces to rank 16.

Gear Cleansing Route

We highly recommend you prioritise Artifacts instead of upgrading Accessories as this will be significantly less silver to complete the event. Update: Day 7 – Wednesday, October 29th

New Events:

  • Champion Training Event – 6,100 Points – 25 Fragments (300/400)

To claim the 25 Fragments for Thorn Golem, you'll need to earn 6,100 Points during the Champion Training Event.

To maximize your efficiency:

  • Always level your chickens before feeding. Use a few brews on 4★ and 5★ chickens before you sacrifice them — this provides more points per upgrade.
  • Campaign grinding with a food farmer helps you double-dip for leveling and silver.
  • Use XP boosts from the shop or daily login to speed up the process.

For extra help leveling efficiently, check out our Champion Upgrade Guide.

Update: Day 8 – Thursday, October 30th

New Events:

  • Fire Knight Tournament – 2250 Points – 25 Fragments (325/400)

Today, for the Fire Knight Tournament.

Update: Day 9 – Friday, October 31st

New Events:

  • Champion Chase Tournament – 3500 Points – 25 Fragments (350/400)

The Champion Chase Tournament has just begun, and has launched alongside a 2x Ancient Shard and Progressive Summons Event, so it's time to decide whether or not to pull your shards.

It's worth mentioning that unlike Summon Rush Events, points can be acquired for Champion Chase Tournaments through other means than pulling shards, whether that be summoning a past Fragment Champion that you've been sitting on, or even collecting uncommon champions from Campaign or the Market, any Champions obtained during this tournament will give you points.

Update: Day 10 – Saturday, November 1st

New Events:

  • Classic Arena Takedown – 390 Points – 25 Fragments (375/400)
  • Gear Hunters Event II – 3,700 Points – 25 Fragments (400/400)

For the Gear Hunters Event (Dungeon Divers), You will need to acquire 3700 Points which is standard for this kind of event. However, this one is far less friendly for your resources with limited events to double or triple dip for maximum gains. This calculates on average to 304 runs of Stage 20 normal dungeons. After the nerf and with no chance of getting 5*, the value drops significantly.
