Theodosia the Disgraced: Full Champion Breakdown

Theodosia the Disgraced enters RAID: Shadow Legends as a mythical champion with a toolkit that offers both flexibility and control. While she might not immediately strike players as overpowered, she brings a level of strategic depth that makes her stand out when used correctly.

Let’s dive into what makes her special, how to build her, and where she fits in the game’s current meta.

Overall Role and Design

Theodosia is built around her ability to switch between two forms, each with distinct functions. Her base form plays the role of a protective support, while her second form becomes a disruptive crowd-control unit. What makes her truly valuable is the potential to rotate between the two forms during battle, adapting to the flow of combat.

In her base form, she offers healing, team cleansing, Perfect Veil, Stone Skin for herself, and a powerful revive. This form is ideal for keeping your team alive through the opening turns of a fight, especially in a go-second strategy. Her passive also brings a unique mechanic: it equalizes ally HP to the average of all team members every seven turns, and reduces incoming damage based on missing HP.

Switching to her second form, Theodosia becomes far more aggressive and disruptive. She gains the ability to strip buffs, apply AoE crowd control with Sleep and Decrease Speed, and push back enemy turn meter. Additionally, her passive grants immunity to block active skills and boosts ally damage based on enemy turn meter—a mechanic that makes her an excellent enabler for damage dealers.

Building Theodosia: Stats, Sets, and Blessings

Building Theodosia is a challenging task, as she demands high stats in almost every area. You want her to be tanky enough to survive in base form, fast enough to apply debuffs in her second form, and accurate enough to land them consistently.

One effective approach is to use Supersonic gear paired with Stone Skin. This setup lets her stay alive through early turns while gaining bonus turn meter from Supersonic to cut into enemy teams. It works well in both offensive and defensive Arena compositions. Stone Skin protects her, while Supersonic lets her rotate through cooldowns more efficiently—perfect for enabling her form swap at the right moment.

She can also be built with high speed and no Stone Skin, turning her into a disruptive controller in a speed team. However, this makes her more vulnerable, and she lacks the innate survivability of other Arena-focused champions unless you invest heavily in support gear.

Theodosia benefits from specific blessings and relics depending on your goal. Lightning Cage protects key buffs from being removed. Wand of Submission is ideal if you’re worried about polymorph (which she’s vulnerable to). Chrysalid of Rebirth is excellent if you lean into her revive. Hallowed Hilt and Infernal Polytope are other strong options, especially if you plan to use her for PvE content like Hydra or Sand Devil.

Arena Performance

In Arena, Theodosia brings high value in both go-first and go-second strategies. She performs well when paired with champions like Siphi (for speed boosts), Fabian (for lockout and control), or Marius (for stripping buffs and increasing accuracy).

When built fast, she opens with her second form abilities to strip buffs and disrupt the enemy team before they can act. In go-second teams, she stays in her base form to absorb damage and revive if necessary, then shifts into her aggressive form to turn the tide.

Her revival brings back allies with 50% HP and full turn meter, plus two turns of Unkillable—an exceptional ability that swings momentum back in your favor. However, her cooldowns are long, and her vulnerability to polymorph means she benefits greatly from support like Wand of Submission or high resistance.

Timing is everything. You’ll need to manually control her form-switching in high-stakes matches to avoid wasting her skills or mismanaging her protection windows. Her base speed is excellent, which helps, but you need to balance her stats carefully.

PvE and Hydra Use

Theodosia shines in Hydra battles, especially when used for control and debuff utility. In her second form, she can place protected Decrease Speed, Decrease Defense, and Block Buffs—some of the most important debuffs in Hydra. With proper gear, she can rotate her skills quickly and keep them up consistently.

She can also serve as your team’s Perfect Veil buffer and reviver, replacing champions like Duchess in Hydra compositions. Her ability to switch between supportive and control-focused roles makes her a powerful plug-and-play champion for most Hydra teams.

Just be aware that in auto mode, her AI might not use her form-switching effectively. To maximize her potential in PvE, you’ll want to control her manually or use a consistent setup that avoids conflicting debuff application.

Weaknesses and Challenges

Despite her strengths, Theodosia does have clear weaknesses. She’s highly susceptible to polymorph, especially when attempting to strip or apply debuffs. Her form-switch mechanic, while unique, can be difficult to use optimally without manual input. In PvE, her AI may mismanage cooldowns or swap forms at the wrong time.

She’s also very gear-dependent. Unlike some champions that shine with just decent gear and a few masteries, Theodosia really needs top-tier equipment to balance her survivability, speed, and accuracy, particularly if you want her to be viable in both forms. Her cooldowns are also long enough that missing a rotation can cost you control of a fight. Still, if you can meet these requirements, she’s extremely rewarding to use.

Final Thoughts

Theodosia the Disgraced is not an overpowered champion, but she’s certainly powerful in the hands of a skilled player. She rewards smart play, good team synergy, and precise timing. With proper support and gear, she becomes a valuable asset in both Arena and PvE content like Hydra and Sand Devil.

Her ability to adapt to the fight’s pace—switching from defense to control—gives her a unique edge that few champions share. She doesn’t come with game-breaking passives but she fills an important niche as a flexible, form-switching support/controller.

If you pull Theodosia, don’t hesitate to invest in her. With the right team and playstyle, she will absolutely prove her worth.
