VEILED TRAIL – Campaign Breakdown
The Veiled Trail is the first campaign zone you unlock in Void Hunters. It introduces core mechanics, early combat strategy, and your first real look at roster requirements.
There are 18 total Stars available, with each of the 6 stages offering up to 3 Stars through unique objectives.
Progression vs 3-Star Completion
It is important to approach this zone correctly.
For your first clears, focus on progression. Use your available team to push through stages and unlock further content. Trying to meet every requirement immediately will slow you down and can leave your account underpowered.
The additional conditions, such as using only Seasoned allies, limiting your team size, or restricting factions like Archlands, are designed for 3-starring stages rather than initial clears. You can always return later once your roster is stronger. Avoid spreading your resources too thin early on, as this can prevent you from clearing later stages.
Branching Paths
Veiled Trail is not a linear zone, and your route will affect the order you encounter stages.
You begin in Dark Hollow, which splits into two paths. Taking the lower route leads to Gnarled Forest, while continuing straight takes you to Sinister Pines. From there, the path branches again. The upper route leads to Feral Forest, while the central route progresses to Valley View, which then leads into Silent Grove, the final boss stage of the zone.
Dark Hollow

This is the first battle you will face in Veiled Trail and the point where the paths begin to branch.
Objectives:
⭐ Win the battle
⭐⭐ Win with no defeated allies
⭐⭐⭐ Win using Seasoned allies only
Overview:
This is a simple introduction stage using your starting hunters. Since all starter hunters are Seasoned, the third star requirement will be completed automatically. Focus on finishing the fight cleanly to secure all stars.
Gnarled Forest

This battle is encountered by taking the lower path from Dark Hollow.
Objectives:
⭐ Win the battle
⭐⭐ Win with no defeated allies
⭐⭐⭐ Win using max. 3 allies
Overview:
At this stage, you only have three hunters available, meaning the team size restriction is naturally fulfilled. Focus on completing the fight cleanly to secure all stars.
Sinister Pines

This battle is encountered by continuing straight from Dark Hollow.
Objectives:
⭐ Win the battle
⭐⭐ Win with no defeated allies
⭐⭐⭐ Win without using Support allies
Overview:
You do not have access to Support units at this point in the game, so this requirement will be completed automatically. Focus on maintaining a clean run with no defeated allies to secure all stars.
Feral Forest

This battle is encountered by taking the upper path from Sinister Pines.
Objectives:
⭐ Win the battle
⭐⭐ Win with no defeated allies
⭐⭐⭐ Win in 30 turns or less
Overview:
This is your first stage where the third star is not automatically met. Focus on clearing the stage first, then aim to improve your damage and efficiency if you fall short of the turn requirement.
Valley View

This battle is encountered by following the central path from Sinister Pines.
Objectives:
⭐ Win the battle
⭐⭐ Win with no defeated allies
⭐⭐⭐ Win using max. 2 allies
Overview:
This is one of the first real challenges in the zone. The two-unit restriction will likely require stronger, more developed hunters, so it is best to clear the stage first and return later to complete the requirement.
Silent Grove

This is the final battle of Veiled Trail and acts as the boss stage.
Objectives:
⭐ Win the battle
⭐⭐ Win with no defeated allies
⭐⭐⭐ Win using Archlands allies only
Overview:
Silent Grove introduces a faction requirement that you may not be ready for immediately. Clear the stage first, then return once you have invested in enough Archlands hunters to secure the final star. Leo, Reed and Bomor, however, are all Archlands, so you may be able to force your way through 3-starring this one very early on.
Final Thoughts
Veiled Trail is designed to teach you how to balance progression with completion.
Some early requirements will be completed naturally, while others will require you to return later with a more developed roster. Build a strong foundation first, then expand your options to secure all 18 stars without slowing your progress.
