Gretel Hagbane Fusion Guide – Raid: Shadow Legends
Welcome to our Gretel Hagbane Fusion Guide, where we’ll provide you with all of the information necessary to complete this year’s RAID: Shadow Legends Halloween Fusion.
This Fusion is a Traditional Fusion, meaning you’ll need to collect Fusion Champions from Tournaments and Events, before upgrading them and fusing them into other Champions, before Fusing the Legendary, Gretel Hagbane.
Be sure to check back daily to see our breakdown of how many points you will require for each event and the best way to earn them.
Gretel Hagbane Fusion Type: Traditional
There are three types of fusion events: traditional, fragmented, and hybrid. Gretel Hagbane will be a Traditional Fusion, this means instead of collecting Fragments to Fuse her, we will be collecting 16 Rare Champions, in order to fuse 4 Epic Champions – Once these have been collected and ranked up to Rank 5 – Level 50, you can fuse your copy of this years Halloween Fusion.
These Champions will be collected by completing Fusion Events and Tournaments, they’ll be rewarded for specific Point Milestones, with no benefit for finishing higher in your Tournament Brackets, unlike Fragment Collectors.
Rares will need to be levelled to Rank 4 – Level 40, fully ascended, and Epics will need to be Rank 5 – Level 50, fully ascended.
One of the key differences between Traditional and Fragment Collectors is the time limit, you will NEED to Fuse your legendary before the timer runs out, or else you’ll be unable to collect them, whereas with Fragment Collectors you can wait on collecting until a future Champion Chase Tournament or Clan vs Clan Tournament.
Traditional Fusion Requirements
With Champion Levelling and Ascending playing a key role in these Fusions, here is a breakdown of what you will need.

Day 1 Update: October 31st
New Events:
- Dungeon Divers Event – 3700 Points – 1x Denid the Tusk Knight (1/16)
Happy Halloween and welcome to the first day of Events for the Gretel Hagbane Fusion, starting off slow we’ve got a Dungeon Divers Event, with no events or tournaments to accompany it until tomorrow, so today is a day of simply waiting around, hold off on farming anything meaningful, and save your efforts for tomorrow where we will get a Champion Training Event and an Ice Golem Tournament simultaneously which will allow us to double-dip and complete the Dungeon Divers Event.
One thing you may consider doing today, if you have not already prepared them, is to farm some of the ascension potions required to complete the Fusion.
Day 2 Update: November 1st
New Events:
- Champion Training Event – 6,100 points – 1x Denid the Tusk Knight (2/16)
- Ice Golem Tournament – 2,250 points – 1x Denid the Tusk Knight (3/16)
- Champion Chase Tournament – 3,000 points – 1x Denid the Tusk Knight (4/16)
Now it’s time to fully get stuck into this Fusion after yesterday’s Dungeon Divers left us waiting for events to accompany it.
First up, we’ve got an exciting Champion Chase Tournament which gives one lucky person the chance to get a 5* Perfect Soul for the recently added Faction Unity Champion from the Demonspawn, Vulkanos Fumor – who is conveniently involved in a 10x Event this weekend alongside the 2x Ancient Shard boost.
We’ve then got the two energy-focussed events which will see us double-dip into the Dungeon Divers Event from yesterday.
For the Ice Golem Tournament, you will need to acquire 2250 Points and this calculates to roughly 140 runs of Stage 20 normal at a cost of 2,240 energy or around 120 runs of Stage 10 Hard at a cost of 2,400 energy. Running Stage 20 Normal is the most energy-efficient route when it comes to fusion tournaments (unlike turn attack tournaments which require a high stage). These rates are an average assessment therefore some of you may high roll or low roll your gear requiring slightly less or slightly more runs.
As for the Champion Training Event; to maximize your points in this Event, it is important to level up your chickens before using them as food. You can easily achieve this by adding some brews to the 4*/5* chickens before feeding them. This simple step will greatly assist you in achieving the necessary points to successfully complete the Event.
For further information on how to best complete these events efficiently, be sure to check out our Champion Upgrade Guide.
Day 3 Update: November 2nd
New Events:
- Artifact Enhancement Event – 4,775 points – 1x Denid the Tusk Knight (5/16)
- Classic Arena Takedown – 390 points – 1x Denid the Tusk Knight (6/16)
Today, we get the first Artifact Enhancement event. Now is the best time to take advantage of these bonus events to build the Champions you need for upcoming content progression, or to do some gear cleansing. Artifact Enhancement can be done in two ways: you can gear cleanse to the points or you can upgrade pieces to rank 16.
Gear Cleansing Route
If you have a number of artifacts on level 1, an efficient way to claim the rare Champion is to upgrade Artifacts to level 8 or 12 and then sell the items for silver. This still remains a negative silver gain but it’s far less punishing than upgrading Artifacts to level 16. You may choose to keep some good pieces (a bonus!). This route might take only 10-15 million silver to complete the event.
Gear Upgrading Route
If you are looking to complete some Champion builds, then Level 16 artifacts are important to maximise their potential. We highly recommend you prioritise Artifacts instead of upgrading Accessories as this will be significantly less silver to complete the event. This route will take you approximately 20 million silver to complete.
The Classic Arena Takedown should be relatively straightforward if you are able to fight and win at least half of your daily tokens. At Gold 5 you need to win 30 fights over 72 hours to claim the rare. This will scale lower so pay attention but if you are lower in your account level then your point requirements should scale with your arena rank.
Day 5 Update: November 4th
New Events:
- Dungeon Divers Event – 3,700 points – 1x Denid the Tusk Knight (7/16)
- Dragon Tournament – 2,250 points – 1x Denid the Tusk Knight (8/16)
Next up in the Fusion, we have the perfect opportunity to double-dip, there’s no need to hold off on pushing these straight away with the Dragon Tournament perfectly allowing progression on the Dungeon Divers Event.
For the Dragon Tournament, acquiring 2250 Points would typically work out as roughly 140 runs of stage 20, assuming the most unfavourable drops of 5* rare accessories.
However, it’s important to note that this number may be substantially reduced based on your personal drop rates. This will consume approximately 2250 energy. It’s worth mentioning that running Hard Mode Dragon could further adjust these numbers, as the Mythical Artifact Drops offer an additional boost to your points.
Day 7 Update: November 6th
New Events:
- Artifact Enhancement Event – 4,775 points – 1x Denid the Tusk Knight (9/16)
Today, we’ve got an Artifact Enhancement event. Now is the best time to take advantage of these bonus events to build the Champions you need for upcoming content progression, or to do some gear cleansing. Artifact Enhancement can be done in two ways: you can gear cleanse to the points or you can upgrade pieces to rank 16.

Day 8 Update: November 7th
New Events:
- Fire Knight Tournament – 2,250 points – 1x Denid the Tusk Knight (10/16)
- Champion Training Tournament – 6,350 points – 1x Denid the Tusk Knight (11/16)
You will need to acquire 2250 Points for the Fire Knight Tournament and this calculates to roughly 140 runs of Stage 20 normal at a cost of 2,240 energy or around 120 runs of Stage 10 Hard at a cost of 2,400 energy. Running Stage 20 Normal is the most energy-efficient route when it comes to fusion tournaments (unlike turn attack tournaments which require a high stage). You can easily achieve this by adding some brews to the 4*/5* chickens before feeding them. This simple step will greatly assist you in achieving the necessary points to successfully complete the Event.
Unlike Champion Training Events, it is important to note that you can get a bulk of points from using Skill Tomes on your Champions, however, these may be best saved for things such as Clan vs Clan to help lead your clan to victory, but in the situation that these overlap, it can be a great source of easy points!
For further information on how to best complete these events efficiently, be sure to check out our Champion Upgrade Guide.
Use this opportunity to prepare the required food, and level your already acquired Champions (See Fusion Requirements above) to complete the necessary upgrades to fuse Gretel.
Day 9 Update: November 8th
New Events:
- Summon Rush Event – 3,000/5,400 points – 1x Denid the Tusk Knight (12/16) & 1x Signy of Highshield (1/4)
- Dungeon Divers Event – 3,700 points – 1x Denid the Tusk Knight (13/16)
- Classic Arena Takedown – 390 points – 1x Denid the Tusk Knight (14/16)
Next up we have the Summon Rush Event! It’s time to pull some shards for a chance at some new Legendary Champions with the Progressive Summons Event that is taking place this weekend – you can view our full breakdown of the Event that is running this weekend in our dedicated post which is linked below.
The Point requirement for this is fairly standard, and what we expect with most Fusions.
Lastly we have the Dungeon Divers event, so commences another dungeon diver events. This one is far less friendly for your resources with limited events to double or triple dip for maximum gains. As with first dungeon divers, you require 3700 points to claim the copy of Denid. This calculates on average to 304 runs of Stage 20 normal dungeons. This will cost you around 4,864 energy or around 273 runs of Stage 10 Hard at a cost of 5,460 energy.
Day 11 Update: November 10th
New Events:
- Spider Tournament – 2,250 points – 1x Denid the Tusk Knight (15/16)
- Artifact Enhancement Event – 4,775 points – 1x Denid the Tusk Knight (16/16)
Welcome to the FINAL set of Events of the Fusion, it’s the last hurdle now of completing the levelling up process and fusing your Halloween 2024 Legendary, Gretel Hagbane!
To close off this Fusion, it’s time to farm some Spider. You will need to acquire 2250 Points for the Tournament and this calculates to roughly 140 runs of Stage 20 normal at a cost of 2,240 energy or around 120 runs of Stage 10 Hard at a cost of 2,400 energy. Running Stage 20 Normal is the most energy-efficient route when it comes to fusion tournaments (unlike turn attack tournaments which require a high stage). These rates are an average assessment therefore some of you may high roll or low roll your gear requiring slightly less or slightly more runs.
And lastly, we’ve got our final event in the form of an Artifact Enhancement event. Now is the best time to take advantage of these bonus events to build the Champions you need for upcoming content progression, or to do some gear cleansing. Artifact Enhancement can be done in two ways: you can gear cleanse to the points or you can upgrade pieces to rank 16.
