5. RES – hit requirements.
OTHER
1. Mischief tank – high resist, often slowest champ with most buffs to be targetted by mischief
Hydra Quick Battle: Example Team

CHAMPIONS
1. Visix the Unbowed – provoke, dec spd, ally prot (Cursed)
2. Uugo – dec def, block buffs, healing, cleanse, leech (Relentless)
3. Rector Drath – revive, perfect veil, healing (Reflex)
4. Golden Reaper – increase spd, dec atk, reduce skill cooldown (Relentless)
5. Geomancer – damage, burn, weaken, dec acc (Reflex)
6. Royal Guard – damage, dec def, dec spd (Savage)
Note: it is very hard to find good provoke, inc spd, dec spd champs amongst epics.
HOW THE TEAM WORKS
This example team covers our key buffs and debuffs:
– Block buffs
– Provoke
– Dec. SPD
– Dec. Def
– Inc. SPD
– Revive
It covers some high priority:
– Weaken
– Perfect Veil
– Dec. ATK
It covers some optional priority:
– HP aura
– Burn
– Dec. ACC
– Leech
– Ally Prot.
– Healing
– Reduce Skill Cooldown
– Inc. Turn Meter
We are missing some high priority:
– Hex – can be replaced with a cursed set, ideally on Visix
– Block Debuffs – we will be relying on Rector’s passive RES boost and Geo’s Dec. ACC to help
– Inc ATK – our damage dealers are MAX HP focussed
– Shield – we will rely on ally prot, veil, and healing instead
– Strengthen – we will rely on ally prot, veil, and healing instead
– Inc DEF – our damage dealers are MAX HP focussed
– Ally Attack – we can’t fit it in
– Inc Buff Duration – we can’t fit it in
Some Champion Upgrades
1. Krisk the Ageless instead of Visix.
2. Nekmo Thaar instead of Golden Reaper.
3. Marius the Gallant instead of Royal Guard.
Speed for each champs for nightmare?
I believe a good benchmark is 250 speed minimum.
Outstanding article! Clear, concise, and approachable! A great enhancement would be to add recommended blessings and relics. Thank you for breaking down the ‘why’ in such a practical write up!
Take Care all!
Could you put some good examples of good champions for mischief tanks and other ways to improve their odds of staying the tank, for example oboro being very reliable vs shamel with bloodshield being not that reliable. Now 4 piece pinpoint could help and kinda curious i know the first mastery in support the inc hp counts as a buff for cb but is it the same for hydra?
