The Ultimate Epics For Hard Faction Wars – Sacred Order!

Hard Faction Wars has arrived in Teleria for those who have already claimed Lydia the Deathsiren as the ultimate reward for 3-starring all the stages in Normal difficulty. Now, the quest continues for the latest Faction Wars reward, Polara Fireheart – a Mythical champion from the Sacred Order. Along the way, you’ll earn some impressive milestone rewards as you push through these new stages. In this series of articles, we’ll be spotlighting some of the MVP Epic champions you should consider for each faction.

This new Hard Mode adds extra challenges to earn those 3-star clears: 1 star for simply completing the stage, 2 stars for finishing with 5 champions without losing anyone, and a final 3rd star for completing the unique stage condition. The Epics we’re featuring here range from top-tier powerhouses to those who fill a niche role – sometimes perfectly suited for tackling specific stage conditions, and sometimes offering broad utility that can cover multiple requirements.

You’ll also come across a stage that requires you to beat it using at least 3 Epic champions – so even if you have Meta Legendaries for most stages, these Epics will still find a place in your team for that challenge. Let’s dive into some of the best Epic champions from the Sacred Order!

Deacon Armstrong

Deacon has stood the test of time as one of the best Epic support champions in the game, and for good reason. His ability to fill his allies’ Turn Meters while simultaneously decreasing those of his enemies is great for outpacing waves and is particularly useful for the Turn Meter manipulation stage. He can also apply Decrease Defence to all enemies to boost your team’s damage, and his A1 places Leech for some extra healing whenever allies attack the target. A simple yet highly effective champion!

Godseeker Aniri

The stages we have to face are tough, and you may find yourself in moments when you lose an ally during your runs. That’s what makes Godseeker stand out – not only does she revive a single target, but she also resets the cooldowns of all their skills so they can use their most powerful effects right away. Beyond that, she brings team healing, buff manipulation to reduce enemy buffs and extend ally buffs by 1 turn, and a passive that counters fatal hits on an ally by instantly placing Revive on Death. Overall, she’s a well-rounded support option!

Mordecai

There are two stages, 5 and 13, where you’re required to apply HP Burns to enemies for the 3-star clear. That’s where Mordecai shines as a top-tier option – not only can he land this as an AOE effect, but because it’s a placement, it bypasses any affinity disadvantages for more consistency. Additionally, he can help you meet the stage 6 requirement of Turn Meter manipulation with his A2, similar to Deacon, and he also has a chance on his A1. Lastly, his A3 skill also applies Increase Attack to all allies, boosting the damage of your attack based champions.

Inquisitor Shamael

We’re all used to seeing how great Shamael is for Hydra, but his utility extends to dealing with waves of enemies as well. His standout skill is his A2, which can reach 100% Ignore Defence when scaled with enough buffs. In stages 4 and 11, where you’re required to reduce enemies’ HP by 50% with one skill, he’s a solid choice if you’re lacking other damage dealers to help secure the 3-star clear. When he kills a target, he also applies True Fear to all enemies for added control. On top of that, he passively cleanses Fears from allies and can counterattack with his A1 when allies receive debuffs, which may help with stage 9 if you’re on the receiving end of debuffs.

HONOURABLE MENTIONS

Fenax

Fenax, or as we like to call him, Nub Raids, brings a strong blend of damage and debuffs. His A2 is particularly valuable, applying Block Buffs to all enemies, or if that doesn’t land, Block Active Skills for control. Similar to Shamael, he can help you meet the 3-star requirements for stages 4 and 11, and he deals solid damage overall across his kit. His A1 hits very hard and blocks revives on enemies he kills, while his A3 provides solid single-target damage and applies Decrease Defence and Speed to the target.

FrostBringer

Although she doesn’t bring the frost her name suggests, that doesn’t take away from how good she can be for a team. The true value of her kit lies in the A3, which applies Increase Speed and Increase Attack to allies. This helps your team cycle through turns more quickly and boosts their damage potential, which she enhances further with the random placements of Decrease Defence on her A2. If you need these buffs to fill a gap in your team, she’s a good choice!

Anchorite

While Anchorite doesn’t directly enable any of the 3-star requirements, he can still be a valuable support champion for your team. Since some stages require placing Provoke and Stun debuffs, he’s a great candidate to gear in Stun or Provoke sets because his A1 is an AOE attack. He also brings team buff extension, a random debuff cleanse, and can fully heal a target while providing Increase Crit Rate and Crit Damage to all allies.

Lady Etessa

This champion may not be one of the best Epics in the game, but if you’re lacking Ally Attack or Counter attack champions in the faction, she can help you meet the requirement for stage 9, which involves killing 3 or more enemies using either of those effects. Her A3 enables this by attacking one enemy with two random allies, and the damage can scale by 20% when the target is under crowd control. Beyond that, she’s a single-target nuker who can apply Stun and Block Buffs effects.

Cardinal

As a final mention, we had to give a shoutout to Cardinal, who has carried players through the normal difficulty of Faction Wars since her release. While she doesn’t bring much in terms of wave utility, her revival is incredibly strong for those moments when you lose key champions. She revives all dead allies with max Turn Meter, letting them instantly take a turn to get you back into the fight. Additionally, she has an A2 to support a single ally by healing them and applying Increase Defence.
