Vault Keeper Wixwell Fusion Guide – Raid Shadow Legends

Spacer

Welcome to the Vault Keeper Wixwell Fusion Guide, The first ever Community Chosen Fusion.

In this guide, we will provide you with all the information necessary to complete the Fusion Event and get your hands on this brand-new Champion.

Make sure to check back daily for our Vault Keeper Wixwell Fusion Guide daily updates!

Vault Keeper Wixwell Fusion Type: Traditional

Wixwell is a Traditional Fusion, rather than a Fragment Collector Event – this means instead of collecting Fragments to Fuse him, we will be collecting 16 Rare Champions, in order to fuse 4 Epic Champions – Once these have been collected and ranked up to Rank 5 – Level 50, you can fuse your copy of the Vault Keeper.

These Champions will be collected by completing Fusion Events and Tournaments, they’ll be rewarded for specific Point Milestones, with no benefit for finishing higher in your Tournament Brackets, unlike Fragment Collectors.

Rares will need to be levelled to Rank 4 – Level 40, fully ascended, and Epics will need to be Rank 5 – Level 50, fully ascended.

One of the key differences between Traditional and Fragment Collectors is the time limit, you will NEED to Fuse your legendary before the timer runs out, or else you’ll be unable to collect them, whereas with Fragment Collectors you can wait on collecting until a future Champion Chase Tournament or Clan vs Clan Tournament.

Traditional Fusion Requirements

With Champion Levelling and Ascending playing a key role in these Fusions, here is a breakdown of what you will need.

The Champions involved in the fusion are:

To Rank these to the required level you will need:

  • 48x Rank 3 Chickens
  • 16x Rank 4 Chickens

To Ascend the champions you will need: (Note: Void Keep is ONLY open on Sundays!)

Affinity Lesser Greater Superior
Arcane 80 108 12
Void 160 64 0
Force 0 80 24
Magic 0 0 0
Spirit 0 0 0

Initial thoughts on Vault Keeper Wixwell

Vault Keeper Wixwell is a first-of-its-kind Fusion, where all of the skills were picked by the community.

He is a Force Affinity Legendary from the Sacred Order, and by community vote it was decided that he will be Defense Based.

His kit is incredibly strong, with an A1 that hits twice, each with a 40% (books up to 60%) chance of Provoking the target, however, this increases to 100% when booked for Boss Enemies, making him incredibly strong for Hydra Clan Boss and the Magma Dragon in Doom Tower.

On Wixwell’s A2 ability he will place Decrease ATK on all enemies whilst also increasing the duration of all ally buffs by 1 turn before increasing the value of all Shields on your team with the amount being increased by the total number of buffs that had their duration increased.

His A3 ability brings a brand new Buff, Intercept, whilst also placing Increase DEF and Shield Buffs on all allies, which scales proportionally to his own Defense.

Lastly, Wixwell likes to get Revenge, with his Passive Skill giving him a permanent Counterattack buff.

Wixwell’s Skills:

Deadbolt

Attacks 1 enemy 2 times. Each hit has a 40% chance of placing a [Provoke] debuff for 1 turn. If the target is a Boss, the chance increases to 80%.

  • Level 2: Damage +10%
  • Level 3: Buff/Debuff Chance +10%
  • Level 4: Damage +10%
  • Level 5: Buff/Debuff Chance +10%

Tempest Of Knowledge – Cooldown: 4 Turns

Attacks all enemies. Has a 75% chance of placing a 50% [Decrease ATK] debuff for 2 turns. Also increases the duration of all ally buffs by 1 turn.
Then increases the value of all [Shield]s on all allies. The value of each [Shield] is increased proportional to the total number of buffs which had their duration increased.

  • Level 2: Damage +10%
  • Level 3: Buff/Debuff Chance +10%
  • Level 4: Damage +10%
  • Level 5: Buff/Debuff Chance +10%
  • Level 6: Cooldown -1

Codex Intercipio – Cooldown: 5 Turns

Places 2 [Intercept] stacks on a target ally. Also places a 60% [Increase DEF] buff and a [Shield] buff on all allies for 2 turns. The value of the [Shield] is proportional to this Champion’s DEF.

  • Level 2: Cooldown -1
  • Level 3: Cooldown -1

Isolated Lunacy [P]

At the start of each Round, places a [Counterattack] buff on this Champion for 1 turn. This buff cannot be removed. At the end of this Champion’s turn, places a [Counterattack] buff on them for 1 turn.

Is the Vault Keeper Wixwell Fusion worth going for?

We always recommend going for every Fusion if you have the resources to do so.

A clear-cut reason to go for Wixwell is his unique Intercept buff. so he is great if you are able to go for this fusion because no other champion in the game has this ability.

He is a great champion and should be obtained if you have the resources to do so.

Fusion Events

As part of the Wixwell Fusion, we will also have two Summon Events in the Fusion Schedule, one of which will be a Champion Chase Tournament, whilst the other will be a Summon Rush Event.

  • Champion Chase Tournament – 2x Ancient Shard Event featuring a 10x for Wallmaster Othorion
  • Summon Rush Event –

With Super-Raids now being a permanent feature in Dungeons, Plarium used to enable them, especially for Fusions, however, this time around we’ve got a different treat, Drop Fever events!

You can view the full breakdown of these events in our dedicated article, but to summarise;

  • On Thursday, May 9th, we’re planning to launch x2 event for dropping Speed set artifacts at Dragon’s Lair.
  • On Sunday, May 12th, we’re planning to launch x2 event for dropping Cursed set artifacts at Ice Golem’s Peak.
  • Also, on Thursday, May 16th, we’re planning to launch x2 event for dropping Regeneration set artifacts at Fire Knight’s Castle.
  • And moreover, on Sunday, May 19th, we’re planning to launch x2 event for dropping Sacred Order Accessories at Spider’s Den.

As this contains a Summon Rush Event, you will need to plan ahead to determine if you can achieve this. We don’t know the exact point requirements for the summon rush so far but you will need to be prepared. Use our summon rush calculator below to see how many points you can currently earn.

The Fusion Tournaments and Event Points shown in our guide are calculated based on a MAX LEVEL account, however, please note that the points required may vary depending on your account progression, which may mean that you need significantly fewer points than what is displayed in our guide.

Day 1:

New Events:

  • Dungeon Divers Event – 3700 Points – 1x Teryx the Restless (1/16)
  • Dragon Tournament – 2250 Points – 1x Teryx the Restless (2/16)

Starting off this Fusion we have the perfect opportunity to double-dip, there’s no need to hold off on pushing these straight away with the Dragon Tournament perfectly allowing progression on the Dungeon Divers Event.

For the Dragon Tournament, acquiring 2250 Points would typically work out as roughly 140 runs of stage 20, assuming the most unfavourable drops of 5* rare accessories.

However, it’s important to note that this number may be substantially reduced based on your personal drop rates. This will consume approximately 2250 energy. It’s worth mentioning that running Hard Mode Dragon could further adjust these numbers, as the Mythical Artifact Drops offer an additional boost to your points.

Day 2:

New Events:

  • Champion Chase Tournament – 3000 Points – 1x Teryx the Restless (3/16)
  • Champion Training Event – 6100 Points – 1x Teryx the Restless (4/16)

The Champion Chase Tournament lines up nicely with the current 2x Ancient Shard Event paired with a 10x for Wallmaster Othorion, so it’s time to pull those shards!

This Tournament is also a great opportunity to summon any Fragment Champions you’ve got sat waiting to get yourself the point requirement!

As for the Champion Training Event; to maximize your points in this Event, it is important to level up your chickens before using them as food. You can easily achieve this by adding some brews to the 4*/5* chickens before feeding them. This simple step will greatly assist you in achieving the necessary points to successfully complete the Event.

Use this opportunity to prepare the required food (See Fusion Requirements above) to complete the necessary upgrades to fuse Vault Keeper Wixwell.

Day 3:

New Events:

  • Artifact Enhancement Event 1 – 4775 Points – 1x Teryx the Restless (5/16)
  • Classic Arena Takedown 1 – 390 Points – 1x Teryx the Restless (6/16)

Today, we receive the first Artifact Enhancement event and it is during a brand new rotation of the Cursed City of Sintranos. Now is the best time to take advantage of these bonus events to build champions you need for upcoming stages or to do some gear cleansing. Artifact Enhancement can be done in two ways. You can gear cleanse to the points or your can upgrade pieces to rank 16.

Gear Cleansing Route

If you have a number of artifacts on level 1 then an efficient way to claim the rare Champion is to upgrade artifacts to level 8 or 12 and then sell the items for a return of silver. This still remains a negative silver gain but its far less punishing that upgrading to level 16. You may choose to keep some good pieces and that is also great but you will find this route might take only 10-15 million silver to complete the event.

Gear Upgrading Route

If you are looking to complete some champion builds, then Level 16 artifacts are important to maximise their potential. We highly recommend you prioritise Artifacts instead of upgrading Accessories as this will be significantly less silver to complete the event. This route will take you approximately 20 million silver to complete.

The classic arena takedown should be relatively straightforward if you are able to fight and win at least half of your daily tokens. At Gold 5 you need to win 30 fights over 72 hours to claim the rare. This will scale lower so pay attention but if you are lower in your account level then your point requirements should scale with your arena rank.

Day 4:

New Events:

  • Ice Golem Tournament – 2250 Points – 1x Teryx the Restless (7/16)

Next up for this Fusion, we have an Ice Golem Tournament, Acquiring 2250 Points would typically work out as roughly 140 runs of stage 20, assuming the most unfavourable drops of 5* rare gear.

However, it’s important to note that this number may be substantially reduced based on your personal drop rates. This will consume approximately 2250 energy. It’s worth mentioning that running Hard Mode Ice Golem could further adjust these numbers, as the Mythical Artifact Drops offer an additional boost to your points.

Day 5:

New Events:

  • Dungeon Divers Event 1 – 3700 Points – 1x Teryx the Restless (8/16)

Just as we have completed our first Dungeon Divers event, so commences another dungeon diver events. This one is far less friendly for your resources with limited events to double or triple dip for maximum gains. As with first dungeon divers, you require 3700 points to claim the copy of Teryx. This calculates on average to 304 runs of Stage 20 normal dungeons. This will cost you around 4,864 energy or around 273 runs of Stage 10 Hard at a cost of 5,460 energy.

Day 7:

New Events:

  • Artifact Enhancement Event 2 – 4775 Points – 1x Teryx the Restless (9/16)

The event today is a typical Artifact Enhancement Event similar to the first one a few days ago. This remains a very silver-intensive event. As a reminder here are your two paths for success in this event.

Gear Cleansing Route

If you have a number of artifacts on level 1 then an efficient way to claim the fragments is to upgrade them to level 8 or 12 and then sell the items for a return of silver.

Day 8:

New Events:

  • Fire Knight Tournament – 2250 Points – 1x Teryx the Restless (10/16)
  • Champion Training Tournament – 6300 Points – 1x Teryx the Restless (11/16)

Next up for this Fusion, we have a Fire Knight Tournament, Acquiring 2250 Points would typically work out as roughly 140 runs of stage 20, assuming the most unfavourable drops of 5* rare gear.

However, it’s important to note that this number may be substantially reduced based on your personal drop rates. This will consume approximately 2250 energy. It’s worth mentioning that running Hard Mode Fire Knight could further adjust these numbers, as the Mythical Artifact Drops offer an additional boost to your points.

To maximize your points in the Training Tournament, it is important to level up your chickens before using them as food. You can easily achieve this by adding some brews to the 4*/5* chickens before feeding them. This simple step will greatly assist you in achieving the necessary points to successfully complete the Event.

You can use this time to level up some of the Epics you’ve acquired so far if you’ve fused them!

Day 9:

New Events:

  • Summon Rush Event – 2700/5400 Points – 1x Teryx the Restless (12/16) + 1x Arwydd Quivergrass (1/4)
  • Dungeon Divers Event 3 – 3700 Points – 1x Teryx the Restless (13/16)

It is time for yet another Dungeon Divers Event! Thankfully, this one lines up with yesterdays Fire Knight and Training Tournaments which will allow you to pump your resources into them whilst simultaneously completing your Dungeon Divers, or well, progressive towards completing it; alongside tomorrows Spider Tournament!

We’ve now got the opportunity to pick up one of the Epic Champions for the Fusion, Arwydd, but it will require a lot of shards for the Summon Rush Event.

Check out our full article breakdown of the Progressive Summon Event that is running this weekend alongside the Fusion.

Day 10:

New Events:

  • Classic Arena Takedown 2 – 390 Points – 1x Teryx the Restless (14/16)

For today’s Arena Tournament, make sure to utilize all of your daily battles. Monitor your points closely and consider using 1 or 2 gem refills if necessary to reach your target points, depending on your arena tier and win rate. Prioritize winning fights and avoid using tokens on uncertain battles.

We are coming towards the end of the Fusion, so it’s time to start finishing up any remaining events you have got left undone!

Day 11:

New Events:

  • Spider Tournament – 2250 Points – 1x Teryx the Restless (15/16)
  • Artifact Enhancement Event 3 – 4775 Points – 1x Teryx the Restless (16/16)

The Final Events are upon us! Time to clean up any remaining events, collect those Rares and/or Epics, Level them up and Fuse them into Wixwell! But first, we have 2 more events to worry about; and they’re straightforward!

The Artifact Enhancement Event is similar to the previous two we’ve had this fusion.

We’re finishing off the Fusions Events with a Spider Tournament, Acquiring 2250 Points would typically work out as roughly 140 runs of stage 20, assuming the most unfavourable drops of 5* rare gear.

However, it’s important to note that this number may be substantially reduced based on your personal drop rates. This will consume approximately 2250 energy. It’s worth mentioning that running Hard Mode Spider could further adjust these numbers, as the Mythical Artifact Drops offer an additional boost to your points.

Does anyone know anything specific about being able to obtain a copy of Arwydd Quivergrass from the Summon Rush Event later on in the fusion, or is it all just speculation at this point? Will it be a guaranteed champion, but I have to crack 100 ancient shards, or like a progressive chance, where I may not be able to get it at all?

Last fusion that mimic’ed this one was the Bambus fusion, and so far the points necessary are equal to or less than the Bambus fusion. It’s been a bit more humane, so far.
If you want to forego a pair of Dungeon Divers and a pair of Artifact Enhancements events, you can try for the Epic during the Summon Rush. Just know that the Bambus’ fusion set the bar at 5400 Summon Rush points to get that Epic, Malkith Bloodflock. Further, you’ll need to make that determination soon, as the 2nd Dungeon Divers only has the Ice Golem tourney running in parallel, and DD2 ends the day before Summon Rush begins. Choose wisely, or pray.

Question, so if one does not have the resources for just the champion chase and summon rush, but can do the rest, will you come up short on this event? Seems like in the fragment style fusions, you could skip an event or two, but this timeline appears as though you have to hit every event, is that accurate or is there a way around the champ chase and/or summon rush?

You must complete all events up to the Rare champ prize – or- Complete the Summon Rush up to and including the Rare AND Epic champ prizes AND 11 other Rare champ prizes.

The summon rush cannot be skipped completely, if you do the summon rush completely you can skip the champion chase and three others

Just got Wixwell. Looks like everything went pretty ok this time. He will be an asset to my Hydra team.
