Deep Wilds Hunting Ground Guide

We have gone through basics of Hunting Grounds in a comprehensive guide that you can see here.

But now its time to look at the individual hunts themselves. In this article we are going to look to answer:

  • What are the team restrictions?
  • Which heroes can I use?
  • Which heroes standout amongst all those available?
  • How many stages are there?
  • How many steps are required in each stage?

And perhaps some more, so lets dive in!

Deep Wilds Team Restrictions

Deep Wilds is the second Hunting Ground that players will encounter. The team restrictions here are Archlands allies only.

We would say players will encounter this Hunting Ground in the middle stages of the game, just after you have gone gone through “Picking the Trail” campaign stages. Two of your early hunters (Leo & Reed) are Archlands so will likely be some of the first units you use in the early stages.

Which Hunters Stand Out Here?

As always, we suggest players use whoever their strongest team is. But try to make sure you have some synergy between your Hunters where you can.

Tiche is the premier damage dealer here, especially with high level investment. It takes a while to get there but fantastic when you do. Jagya also remains a standout damage dealer wherever she is available. She is also Seasoned so is a top tier choice in 3 Hunting Grounds making her useful everywhere.

Bohdan and Vilk bring some nice utility with his buff removal and Blinds. Boons can slightly restore the power Bohdan once had. But Level 7 requires completion without Balanced units so bear this is mind.

Goran will be a stand out Tank later on, as Level 8 requires completion with no Knight allies. Leaving him as your only option, hes also just very good with investment!

Bruno, Cassandra and Angelo are also pretty decent as a group. Because they also fill the level 8 requirements on Old World Remains.

Which Bosses Will I Face?

Deep Wilds Bosses

When you click a Hunting Ground, you will see your “prey” in the middle of the screen.

This is the boss you will face if you were to enter the Hunting Ground now.

On the right hand side, where your Hunting Ground quests are. You will usually see 3 which say “Hunt down the Prey: X”

These are the other possible bosses in rotation for the level hunting ground you are on. Each one will have its own unique effects on the Hunting Ground which you can see above the middle image of the prey.

How Many Levels Are There In Deep Wilds?

Deep Wilds Level 8 Enemies

Just like all the other Hunting Grounds, there are a total of 8 levels in Deep Wilds. Each one getting progressively harder than the last.

At level 8 the boss caps out at Lvl 66 with supporting minions possibly being up to Lvl 73. So we suggest making sure your party is at least Hunt Rank 5-6 (lvl 60-70)

How Many Steps Are There In Each Level? How Much Energy Will It Cost?

Just like most games in the genre, the further you progress into a dungeon the higher the energy cost is and the harder it gets. Hunting Grounds in Void Hunters is no different.

The longer the map length is (the more steps you have to take), the higher the Void Menace level can possibly get. See below for a breakdown of each levels energy cost and map length.

Level Energy Cost Map Length
1 12 9
2 14 10
3 16 11
4 18 13
5 20 15
6 22 17
7 23 19
8 24 20
