Here we go again! It’s Fusion time!

Today marks the beginning of Maranix‘s Fusion, part of Raid’s October 2022 Fusion Event, and it’s a traditional style fusion event meaning we will need to gather Rare and Epic Champions and rank them up respectively in order to fuse Maranix.

Faction: Dark Elves
Rarity: Legendary
Type: ATK
Affinity: Force

Is Maranix worth going for?

We are always asked this question, and our answer will always be the same (mostly)…

Maranix can be a good option for many accounts and may find some good uses if paired with other Hex Champions, to either enable their damage or be used as a damage dealer, as she can hit relatively hard.

However, there is a big fear that Maranix may not be the only October Fusion this year because of how early in the month it is starting, and it is very likely we will still get a Halloween fusion event closer to the end of the month, meaning resources may be best saved for a higher quality champion.

But our recommendation here is always to go for a fusion IF you can, as we never know what will come of these Champions in the future

What you will need to fuse Maranix

Champion Requirements:

Maranix is a Traditional Fusion event which will require 4 Rank 5 fully levelled Epic champions to fuse into Maranix. You will need the following epic champions:

However, to fuse these Epic Champions you will need to acquire 16 Rare Champions at rank 4 fully levelled. 4 Rares are then fused to earn 1 epic. You will be able to acquire one copy of the Epic Champion directly from the Summon Rush if you have the shards to reduce the number of rares you need down to 12.

You will need to upgrade your Rare champions to Rank 4 and the Epic to Rank 5 and fully ascend those champions which will require food and potions.

Chicken Requirements:

  • 48x 3-Star Chickens
  • 16x 4-Star Chickens

Potion Requirements:

Potion Affinity Lesser Greater Superior
Spirit 160 64
Force 80 24
Arcane 80 108 12

Corresponding Events:

You will be able to take advantage of events taking place at the same time of the fusion. Typically these are Super Raids for Dungeons that take place at the same time as the tournaments. These allow you to earn twice the amount of rewards in one run (you will still need to use the same amount of energy as two runs). This should allow you to finish these much faster.

There will also be the typical x10 or x2 summoning events taking place.

Dungeon Events:

  • Tuesday October 4th – Super Raids Dragon’s Lair.
  • Friday October 7th – Super Raids Ice Golem’s Peak.
  • Tuesday October 11th – Super Raids Fire Knight’s Castle.
  • Friday October 14th – Super Raids Spider’s Den.

Summon Events:

  • Anticipated 10x Event – Friday October 7th – Find out more here
  • Ancitpated 2x Ancient Shards – Friday October 14th – Find out more here

Fusion Calendar:

For this fusion schedule, there is 16 rares and 1 epic reward available. This means you have the option to skip up to 4 events or tournaments IF you summon enough shards on the Summon Rush event to earn Tomoe. Alternatively, you can keep a copy of the epic Tomoe if you wish to but that will require you to complete all events.

The other thing to note is that a traditional fusion allows you the opportunity to summon the champions required to make the fusion. Every rare or epic you might earn means 1 less event you need to run. So there is some flexibility depending on how the fusion goes for you. Ideal tournaments and events to skip are Dungeon Divers, Artifact Enhancements and Champion Training events as these take the most amount of resources and time compared to others.

IMPORTANT: Do not assume you can earn an additional rare, only skip events/tournaments if you are 100% you don’t require the champion. If you miss a rare and don’t pull one from a shard or don’t earn the epic you will not be able to complete the fusion.

Day 1

New Events:
Champion Training Tournament – Rewards 1x Prosecutor – 9,350 Points
Dragon Tournament – Rewards 1x Prosecutor – 2,250 Points

Today’s events kick start the new fusion with a hefty 5 day training event and a Dragon Tournament. The amount required in the Tournament is typically what we’d expect to see (requiring around 140 runs at Stage 20+) however the training is quite a big amount of points. The training does contain a Mortal Soulstone and some Soul Essences alongside the Legendary book we typically see so well worth getting those premium rewards if you are going for this rare.

You’re best strategy for today is use brews as you see fit for Champion Training but save your energy on Dragon and Training in campaign until tomorrow. This is because tomorrow there is a Dungeon Divers starting which means you can double dip your training and Dragon runs alongside the Divers.

HellHades has some useful tips on maximising the return on champion training. Read more about these strategies here.

Day 2:

New Events:
Dungeon Divers Event – 1x Prosecutor – 2850 Points
Artifact Enhancement Event – 1x Prosecutor – 4000 Points

To get this event’s rare, you’ll require 4000 points in the artifact enhancement event – there are some great methods for doing this easily, to save as much silver as possible.

Artifact Enhancement

1. If you pre-rolled your gear to level 7/11/15 before the event, you can go ahead and burn through your silver taking these up by 1 level each to gain quick easy points.

2. The other really good option for these events is doing a good old gear clear-out, rolling things that you might want to keep up to see how the stats play out, selling things that you won’t want to keep, a great guide for this is here.

As for the Dungeon Divers Event, as mentioned yesterday this ties into both Champion Training and the active Dragon Tournament, so keep going as you would regularly, whilst picking up points for this event simultaneously!

Day 4:

New Events:
Summon Rush – 1x Prosecutor & 1x Tomoe – 2150 / 4925
Ice Golem Tournament – 1x Prosecutor – 2250 Points
Classic Arena Takedown – 1x Prosecutor – 390 Points

For the Arena Takedown, Continue to use all daily battles, but keep an eye on the points, you may need to gem 1 or 2 refills to reach the points that you need depending on your arena tier/win rate. Of course, always aim to win as many fights as you can, don’t waste tokens for fights that you’re not sure of.

To get your hands on the rare from Ice Golem, it will take you 140 runs of stage 20 based on the worst possible drops, of all 5* rare gear, of course, this figure can be significantly lower based on your drop rates. This will take ~2250 energy.

For the Summon Rush, we have a 10x – However the point requirements are higher than we’ve ever seen for an Epic Champion – so don’t hesitate to burn those mystery shards!!

Day 7:

New Events:
Dungeon Divers Event – 2850 Points – 1x Prosecutor
Artifact Enhancement Event – 4000 Points – 1x Prosecutor

For todays Artifact event, you will need to level up your artifacts, to reach the required points for another copy of Prosecutor

This will be a great opportunity to take the new Artifact Upgrade system for a spin!

Artifact Enhancement

This is a really good opportunity to do a good old gear clear-out, roll things that you might want to keep up to see how the stats play out, sell things that you won’t want to keep.

The Dungeon Divers Event will line up perfectly with TOMORROW’S Clan vs Clan Tournament and the Fire Knight Tournament, allowing you to triple-dip your rewards! We strongly advise waiting for tomorrow before starting to progress through this event.

Day 8:

New Events:
Champion Training Tournament – 1x Prosecutor – 5150 Points
Fire Knight Tournament – 1x Prosecutor – 2250 Points

It’s time to tackle yesterday’s events ontop of today’s alongside Clan vs Clan!

It’s Fire Knight time! This will overlap with Clan vs Clan AND yesterday’s Dungeon Diver’s Event – so it’s time to burn some energy and get great value out of it! To get the rare,  it will take you 140 runs of stage 20 based on the worst possible drops, of all 5* rare gear, of course, this figure can be significantly lower based on your drop rates. This will take ~2250 energy.

Champion Training Tournament will require 5150 Points – so it’s time to level more Champions, and most notably, this is a great opportunity to rank up all of your rares and epics you’ve collected thus far!

Make sure you are also levelling your chickens BEFORE feeding them to get the extra points, you can do this easily by just throwing a few brews into the 4*/5* chickens before you use them as food, it will really help you gain your points to make this doable.

Day 10:

New Events:
Classic Arena Takedown – 390 Points – 1x Prosecutor

For the Arena Takedown, Continue to use all daily battles, but keep an eye on the points, you may need to gem 1 or 2 refills to reach the points that you need depending on your arena tier/win rate. Of course, always aim to win as many fights as you can, don’t waste tokens for fights that you’re not sure of.

Day 11:

New Events:
Champion Chase Tournament – 2500 Points – 1x Prosecutor
Spider Tournament – 2250 Points – 1x Prosecutor

The Champion Chase Tournament has 2500 Points required to get the rare Champion.

You will need to pull as many shards as you need. You can also do this with mystery shards for 1 point per shard, if you don’t have other shards to use during the event, but remember – champions from the market and campaign will also count towards these points, which can tie in nicely with Champion Training.

This does line up with Ancient 2x Event, so good luck on your pulls if you have saved any!

As for the Spider Tournament, 2250 points for this will take around 2250 energy at level 20 – a maximum of 140 runs!

Spacer

Day 12:

New Events:
Dungeon Divers Event – 2850 Points – 1x Prosecutor
Artifact Enhancement Event – 3300 Points – 1x Prosecutor

To get this event’s rare, you’ll require 3300 points in the artifact enhancement event – there are some great methods for doing this easily, to save as much silver as possible.

As for the Dungeon Divers Event, this serves as a final stepping stone, whilst clearing up any remaining events you will be able to chip away at this Event at the same time!

Easy skip for me. I have Madame, Spider and Rae for FW and the arena, I’m saving for a guaranteed ancient and halloween fusions are often either good or really fun champions.

This event looks absolutely impossible to achieve. I certainly am nowhere near have the time or resources to complete all 16 of these events.

You will need to be saving rescourses for fusions. If you save for them they are very achievable.

Have definitely learned this from this fusion. I was nowhere as prepared as i thought i was. What got me was the summoning and champion training. Silver wasnt an issue as much as energy really was, not having enough champions saved up for these events and not having enough gems to top off energy and silver as needed.

Well Tymeclock aren’t you special? I am done with almost everything too. The one thing to finish so far is the champion traning, which is probably the only reason I am doing this fusion. I really do not care for the champion after seeing all the reviews. The other rewards and leveling up my team are my main reasons. I have only been playing for 30 some odd days though. How old is your account?

That’s fairly impressive. Do you have the shards though? I’m guessing that you’ve spent a bit of money on the game, but good for you that you’re getting her. She could be helpful for FW and general early progression, but isn’t worth books imo.

A bit on energy. I made the mistake and pulled shards last week so hurting there. But have plenty of gems. So we will see. I really do not want her. I need the tomes for my account to progress in clan boss for the unkillable team.

I am going for this fusion because I am hopeful that because it is so hard surely the champ is somewhat good or they have to buff her soon.

I am FTP and this fusion so far was much easier than expected. Already have 1 Tomoe and 12 rares ready to be fused during champion chase tomorrow. Will get all rares and fuse another Tomoe as well for the faction wars. Barely had to use any gems for energy and have more gems now than when it started. Only the first champion training was somewhat hard. However all events were long enough to allow reaching the goals with not much trouble. Sometimes I could make triple use of runs by leveling food during dungeons, which also counted for dungeon divers and champ training.

Completed this fusion ”Maranix” on 2 accounts both FTP. I work 40 hours per week and i got it done on 2 accounts so i think everyone can do it. Ofcourse you do need to be prepared, often the reason people can’t do it is because of champion chase or summon rush so make sure you got shards ready for fusion events.
and ofcourse save Fragment summons for champions chase can help aswell. there more ways to prepare for fusions HH got plenty of videos about it check them out for more details. Goodluck to everyone!
