Blizaar The Howler Overview

As the winds sweep down from the mountains above Felwin’s Gate and winter deepens across the land, a new terror emerges to torment the people of Teleria. Wielding an ice encrusted axe and a breath so cold it’ll freeze your eyebrows off before you can say breathmint, Blizaar The Howler arrives as the Christmas Fusion Champion of 2023.

This Abominable Snowman is infamous for raining Blizzards on his foe, and this is reflected in his skills that not only freezes your enemies, but he also protects your team from harm! The Freeze Debuff is a powerful form of Crowd Control, and although Frozen enemies will only take 75% of your usual damage amounts, it will nullify your enemies from using their skills whilst under it. His freeze placements come in the forms of AOE, a unique passive effect to sends freezes back, followed by a triple hit A1 at random. This really adds a layer of versatility to Blizaar, as the A1 is great for targeting the Dreadbombs in Bommal to reduce the damage taken, or manipulating the Hard Fire Knights Turn Meter. However, the A3 will be great for controlling waves, enemies in Arena and the Spider lings [As examples], especially as he reduces 30% Turn Meter in the same ability.

Leading in to the Cyro Therapy [A2], this champion will remove multiple forms of crowd controlling effects from allies, followed by placing a 60% Increase Defence & a 50% Ally Protection on your team. These are both two crucial forms of protection when building traditional Clan Boss teams for survival, and the cleanse ability holds universal value to counter bosses such as The Frost Spider, or simply enemies controlling your team. Last but not least, Blizaar will instantly transfer Freeze Debuffs to enemies who attempt to place it on him. Although this is a great set up to cleanse your team with the A2, champions such as Tormin The Cold may re apply this Debuff due to Blizaar’s buff placements. This champion will also revive himself once killed, then will place a Revive On Death upon revival, therefore becoming a nuisance for your opponents to take out!

Understanding Arena Roles

Champions normally form specific roles within an arena team. Our ratings define the roles that the champion fits and rates them on their ability to perform the roles. Below you can see a breakdown of all of our roles.

Cleanser

Champions with the Cleanser role will use their skills to remove debuffs and keep them from being re-applied.

Crowd Control

Champions with the Crowd Control role will use their skills to place soft (i.e. Provoke or Taunt) and hard (i.e Freeze or Stun) debuffs to disable enemy champions.

Damage

Champions with the Damage role will have skills that deal significant damage and are designed to defeat enemy champions.

Damage Absorption

Champions with the Damage Absorption role will have skills or effects that reduce the incoming damage your team takes. This can be through passive damage reduction or by applying skills such as Strengthen or Shields.

Healer

Champions with the Healer role will have skills that restore your champion's Health including Continuous Heals.

Debuffer

Champions with the Debuffer role will have skills that place debuffs that don't fall into Crowd Control or Skill Manipulator roles i.e. Decrease Defence. These champions may also have skills that remove Buffs.

Revive

Champions with the Revive role will have skills that bring your ally champions back from the dead including Revive on Death buffs.

Skill Manipulator

Champions with the Skill Manipulator role will have skills that increase enemy skill cooldowns or reduce your ally skill cooldowns.

Speed Manipulator

Champions with the Speed Manipulator role will have skills that affect the turn meter of your allies or enemies. This includes speed buffs and debuffs aswell as direct turn meter effects.
