The Dark Fae – Here’s the Teams They Use!
The Dark Fae is one of the best bosses to farm in the Doom Tower when the rotation comes around, offering not only a Sacred Shard for completing the final floor but also valuable forge materials to craft Lethal gear. This gear set is an upgraded version of Savage, providing 10% Crit Rate and 25% Ignore Defence, making it ideal for equipping damage dealers. To defeat this boss, teams typically include champions to control her speed and turn meter, a damage dealer capable of clearing waves and mirrored clones, and support champions to provide buffs and debuffs that enhance damage and keep the team cycling turns.
In today’s article, we’ll showcase the teams the HH Gaming crew use to take her down, and don’t forget to check out our Dark Fae guide below for more tips on defeating this challenging boss!
HELL HADES TEAM
Since receiving a buff, Holsring has become a key part of HellHades’ main Dark Fae team, alongside other champions that control Turn Meter, deliver Enemy Max HP nukes, and eliminate Mirrored Clones. Hegemon, with his unique passive allowing him to take the first turn each round, is built for damage and can instantly wipe out the mirrored clones with his A2 during the boss phase. Gnut and Acrizia, both capable of dealing Enemy Max HP damage, bring Turn Meter control to reduce the boss’s, while also applying Decrease Defence and Weaken to amplify the team’s damage output.
Holsring is an underrated but valuable choice, as he places Decrease Speed on the boss, self buffs with Increase Attack, and inflicts multi hits for damage. Alure, one of the best epics for this encounter, can consistently cycle her A1 skill to keep the boss’s Turn Meter reduced. This well balanced speed team works great to handle waves, mirrored clones, and the boss in just 41 turns!
SAPHYRRA’S TEAM
Saph’s speed team features powerful Enemy Max HP nukers alongside champions capable of clearing waves, defeating mirrored clones, and applying crucial buffs and debuffs to control the fight. Ruella is an excellent choice for this boss, offering Decrease Defence, Weaken, and Decrease Speed with her A2, boosts ally Turn Meter and Crit Rate, and steals Turn Meter through her A1. Gharol shines in her Alternate Form, where all her attacks are AOE, making her perfect for instantly clearing waves and clones, with her passive adding even more damage through ally attacks.
Padraig plays a crucial role during the boss phase, enabling allies to inflict additional damage and maintain Turn Meter control with his Ally Attack, while also boosting ally Speed and Turn Meter to help the team cycle turns faster. Finally, Gnut and Marius team up for inflicting Enemy Max HP damage, with Gnut’s A1 further reducing the boss’s Turn Meter. This team clears stage 120 on hard in just 39 turns!
YST’S TEAM
YST’s Dark Fae team consists of 2 Epics, 2 Legendaries, and a Mythical champion, combining to cover all the essential roles for a speed farming team. Galleus is switched to his Alternate Form, using his A2 to place Decrease Defence before attacking and stealing 20% Turn Meter. His passive resets this skill’s cooldown when enemies die under the debuff, allowing him to clear waves and mirrored clones quickly.
In the boss phase, Lyssandra takes charge of Speed and Turn Meter manipulation, working alongside Alure and Gnut to prevent the boss from taking a turn. Royal Guard contributes with Decrease Speed, Turn Meter reduction, and an Enemy Max HP attack, while Gnut’s Blessed Bash quickly takes down the boss’s HP. This team consistently farms the hardest stage in just 37-40 turns!
NUB RAIDS TEAM
Nub Raids’ Dark Fae team features the God of Thunder, Thor, alongside double Gnut and Turn Meter manipulators to dominate the waves, clones, and boss. Thor uses his two AOE attacks to defeat the clones & waves, self buffs with Increase Attack and C.DMG, while also applying Decrease Speed to slow down the boss. Deacon Armstrong and Alure work together to control the clones and boss, and provide Decrease Defence to pair with Gnut’s Weaken for enhanced damage. Both Gnuts cycle their Blessed Bash Enemy MAX HP attacks to quickly take down the boss, while maintaining control with their Turn Meter reduction A1. This team consistently defeats the Dark Fae in 41-48 turns!
Beat The Boss With Epics!
While Legendary champions like Gnut or Lyssandra are often the go-to for speed farming the Dark Fae, they aren’t essential to simply clear the encounter. In the example team above, all epics contribute Turn Meter control to manage the boss and clones, with a combination of attacks to handle clones even without a dedicated nuker. Epics like Siegehulk or Fylja can fill this role, offering additional Speed / Turn Meter control after their initial attack to eliminate the clones.
Archmage plays a great role by providing Increase Speed and Stun / Turn Meter effects to prevent the clones from attacking, while Skimfos, ideally built in Relentless, brings Decrease Speed and Turn Meter steal. Coldheart and Royal Guard provide the primary damage with their Enemy Max HP attacks, while also contributing Turn Meter control.
