Guaranteed Champion and Progressive Chance Summoning Event
Plarium has announced that this weekend, in Raid: Shadow Legends, starting the 23rd there will be a progressive chance summoning event featuring a variety of Champions. This is a great way to get some champions that you may have missed in the past. Some of these Champions are very strong and it would be a benefit to have them in your account.
Alongside this, there is a guaranteed Champion event that we will get into more details later.
Plarium Announcement
Hey y’all!
This Friday, February 23rd, we’re planning to launch two events simultaneously.
We’re planning to launch Progressive Chance Event, giving you at least x15 chance to summon the Champions of your choice from the selected pool from Ancient, Primal, Sacred, and Void Shards 1 Slot Legendary Champions:
1 Slot Epic Champions:
And also, we’re planning to launch a Guaranteed Champion event simultaneously with the Progressive Chance Event. Summon Champions using Void Shards while the event is active, and you are guaranteed to get Wight King Narses by your 110th Void Shard.
Remember, if you do happen to summon Wight King Narses before your 110th Void Shard, your event will end.
Both events will last 72 hours.
What are Progressive Chance Summoning Events?

Progressive Chance Summoning Events are a new type of Summoning Event, that was released at the latter end of 2023. These events give us an increased opportunity to get our hands on some of our most wanted Champions in RAID, the way they work is quite simple:
Select a Champion whom you would like to receive a boost for (This grants a 15x boost to getting them). Once selected, begin to pull your shards, for every single pull of that rarity – Let’s say for example you have selected a Legendary, each Legendary who is NOT the Champion who you have selected will boost your chance of getting them next time up to 25x boosted rates. This is a huge difference to the 10x Events we used to exclusively get – and whilst these have not replaced 10x Events, they are very frequent so we get lots of opportunities to try and grab those Champions that we are hunting for!
We have a full in-depth breakdown of Progressive Summons and how they work in another article from when Progressive Summons were released, which you can view from the button below.
Choosing your Boosted Champion

When it comes to choosing who you want as your progressive summons champions you need to look at your own account. You may have 3 Nekmo thaars’ so would you need another in your account? Of course, this is down to personal judgment as you may decide that you want to try to +4 a Nekmo Thaar so as a player you’ll need to use your head in this situation. If you have none of the champions then let us break down as to who is the strongest champions that could affect your account.
Between the non-Void Legendary champions, you could pick we have to recommend Kyoku or Nekmo Thaar. The reason for these recommendations is because they are better than the others in an all-round competition.
Kyoku’s main ability is to place ally protection on allies and block damage on herself for 3 turns and gains an Extra Turn. This allows an interesting setup as it means the ally protection is a on 2-turn duration, 3-turn cooldown while Kyoku is protected from all the damage creating possibly the most powerful protector in Raid. This shines well in Clan Boss, Hydra, Doom Tower and is a great protector champion in the dungeons.
Nekmo Thaar was on Hellhades list of wanted champions for a while since he missed the guaranteed event a while back. But here he is again in the progressive summons and we think he could be a contender for your summons list. Nekmo has a phenomenal set of skills to take on Raids’ toughest encounters, with one of the highlights being the infamous Hydra! This champion utilises speed control, Turn Meter manipulation and Debuffs to keep your team cycling skills whilst healing in the process. Opening with Speed Weirding, he places a 30% Increase Speed on all allies, followed by a 30% Turn Meter increase, then grants an extra turn. He is just one of the better Hydra and Doom Tower champions.
Candraphon gets an honourable mention as a pick in the progressive summons as he is an amazing Arena champion but he doesn’t provide as much as the other 2 champions above. He is just a nuker through and through.
For the Void Legendaries, we wouldn’t recommend either and you should save your shards but if you are desperate to pull or want to coincide it with the guaranteed champion then we would choose Supreme Elhain. This is because her A2 will be the ability you care about most, as it deals a huge amount of damage if you can place any reasonable number of debuffs on targets. For each debuff, it increases the damage you deal by 10% and if you kill a target it resets her A3, Crack Shot. She is a wave clear champion and it’s unfortunate because she looks so cool but yeah it’s the reality we are in.
Now onto the Epics, Deacon Armstrong is the obvious choice between the 2 but Mistrider Daithi is a very niche champion who has his perks. Deacon is one of those champions that you pray for in the early game or use the Promo code to get him as he makes such a difference to an account. He brings many debuffs great for clearing Clan Boss in the early stages and if you are following the F2P series a lot of people are using Deacon. He brings a Leech to keep the team alive longer, AOE Decrease DEF which is so big for Arena and wave clearing in the early game. And on top of all this, he Fills Turn Meter and Decreases Enemy turn Meter.
For the Void Epics Genbo is the better choice but you may have him from the Prime Rewards a while back so it is up to you if you want to try and get more copies of him. He attacks all enemies whilst ignoring Unkillable when attacking under an Increase Attack buff. This skill is great for countering Swift Parry in the Arena, or simply champions such as Skullcrown that place Unkillable on themselves. Genbo is also immune to Decrease Attack Debuffs, therefore surviving his onslaught becomes a pain for your enemies! The meta has shifted but he is good for the early game still as a damage dealer.
Meta Guaranteed Champion
Wight King Narses is going to be the next Void Guaranteed champion. He is the partner of the recent fusion Wight Queen Ankora. The pairing of the 2 is extremely strong and having them both is meta but no one saw the guaranteed champion event coming. Wight King Narses will be available after the 110th Void Shard.
Narses excels as an Arena Specialist, though his ratings may initially seem complex. Let’s delve into his arena prowess first. Regardless of whether he’s paired with Ankora, Narses proves remarkably potent. His A3 move, which grants an extra turn, stands out as a highly coveted trait. Moreover, his passive ability allows him to ignore all Shield and Strengthen buffs, making him a formidable adversary against teams in Bolster gear led by Marichka.
He then can deal damage on the a2 to all enemies, striking twice should a Shield or Strengthen buff exist. Because he ignores shields – his first hit will not consume the shield buff, guaranteeing him a second hit. While he sacrifices damage potential from masteries and ally passive skills. Initial observations suggest that artifact sets, such as the Protection set or Lethal, remain effective. Even though he is an HP champion and they have struggled in the past with their damage output, Narses defies this notion due to his conditional extra hits so it repeats the same damage as the first essentially dealing double damage.
Should you be summoning?

The decision on whether or not you summon for this Progressive Summons event is in your hands, however, we would not be doing our job if we didn’t highlight a few key points going into this:
- The fusion has ended so if you are in shard draught it may be worth saving them for other events.
- There are no boosted rates to the shards (2x is not active) meaning you will only have the standard chance to get a Legendary from your shards, rather than increased odds, this means that Ancient Shards and Void Shards will only have a 0.5% chance of yielding a Legendary, whilst Sacreds will have a 6% chance and Primal Shards will have a 1% chance.
- We do have to say that if you have the Fusion Champion Wight Queen Ankora then the partnership is very strong and they are meta champions especially when paired.
