LION FORM – FULL SKILLSET
As you can see, the Lion Form skillset is all about massive single target damage.
Block Debuffs will be essential for your team to protect them from the Decrease Defence and Weaken debuffs being Debuff Spread by the Boss’s A2 and to stop the extra attack it triggers.
It is unclear what the new Hunter’s Gaze debuff does, but it is possible it will function as a Taunt buff, drawing the boss to attack that champion. If so, we can build a Lion Form tank who can survive against its the single target attacks. If not, we can use a champion with Taunt to achieve the same effect.
For your Lion Form tank to survive through the unpreventable Decrease Defence and Weaken they will receive, they might need strong defensive buffs such as Block Damage, or Unkillable.
One big twist for this boss is that Reflect Damage and Pain Link will do 5 times damage to it. This is interesting, and could push champions with these buffs to be relevant (usually, these effects are not useful at dealing damage to bosses.)
One clear MVP for this form is Gizmak the Terrible, who can place Pain Link on the boss alongside Unkillable and Taunt on himself for 2 turns, effectively tanking all the boss’s attacks and reflecting massive damage back.
Giath Truthshield is an interesting legendary possibility who brings Reflect Damage and Ally Protection for her whole team and can place Decrease Crit Rate and Decrease Crit Damage with her passive whenever an ally with that buff is attacked. Although the Lion Form can remove these debuffs, her consistency at placing them might be worthwhile.
Big red arrows are childish and unprofessional.
Sentence that begins with: “For your Lion Form…” says Unkillable twice: “Unkillable, Block Damage, or Unkillable“.
Thank you! fixed!
