The Ultimate Epics For Hard Faction Wars – Ogryn Tribes!
Hard Faction Wars has arrived in Teleria for those who have already claimed Lydia the Deathsiren as the ultimate reward for 3-starring all the stages in Normal difficulty. Now, the quest continues for the latest Faction Wars reward, Polara Fireheart – a Mythical champion from the Sacred Order. Along the way, you’ll earn some impressive milestone rewards as you push through these new stages. In this series of articles, we’ll be spotlighting some of the MVP Epic champions you should consider for each faction.
This new Hard Mode adds extra challenges to earn those 3-star clears: 1 star for simply completing the stage, 2 stars for finishing with 5 champions without losing anyone, and a final 3rd star for completing the unique stage condition. The Epics we’re featuring here range from top-tier powerhouses to those who fill a niche role – sometimes perfectly suited for tackling specific stage conditions, and sometimes offering broad utility that can cover multiple requirements.
You’ll also come across a stage that requires you to beat it using at least 3 Epic champions – so even if you have Meta Legendaries for most stages, these Epics will still find a place in your team for that challenge. Let’s dive into some of the best Epic champions from the Ogryn Tribes!
Most Valuable Players

Uugo brings a simple yet highly effective kit, offering key debuffs to boost your team’s damage and prevent enemies from buffing themselves. Her A2 applies Block Buffs and Decrease Defence to all enemies, making it easier to control the fight and take down targets. Her A3 removes Heal Reduction and one random debuff from allies while healing them by 20%, providing solid defensive support.
On top of that, if she’s the last champion standing, she can revive fallen allies by applying Block Damage and Increase Speed to herself, giving her the sustain needed to pull off the clutch revival. Her A1 places Leech, which can help meet the stage 5 requirement.
Stages 3 & 9 require you to place Provokes to earn the 3-star clear, and if you’re lacking Legendary champions or AOE options to build in a Provoke set, Prundar is easily one of the best in his rarity for the job. Being a Void champion eliminates the risk of weak hits, and his A2 has a 75% chance to apply Provoke to all enemies while also granting himself Increase Defence.
He takes 20% less damage from enemies under Provoke and has a chance to counterattack when they hit him or an ally – which can lead to additional control through Stuns from his A1. On top of that, he brings solid team protection by applying Strengthen and Continuous Heal to all allies, making him a reliable defensive option with strong control potential.
Like Uugo, Siegehulk is a powerful Magic affinity champion who brings Decrease Defence to help boost your team’s damage – but with more of a nuker focus. He applies Decrease Defence through his A2 while also buffing himself with Increase Attack to enhance his own output. Additionally, he self-applies Increase Crit Rate and Crit Damage, making it easier to build him for damage.
Siegehulk can also place Decrease Speed and manipulate the Turn Meter of single targets, giving him some control alongside his offensive capabilities. If you’re looking for a reliable Decrease Defence option who also hits hard, Siegehulk is your ogre – just make sure you’ve got the support to keep him alive.
Although Klodd doesn’t directly enable any of the 3-star conditions, he’s a powerful support champion worth considering for Faction Wars. He provides Increase Speed and Accuracy to your allies, helping your team outpace enemies and meet the accuracy thresholds needed to land effects against high-resistance targets. He also places a Shield for protection, all on 3-turn cooldowns, which makes him a consistent and reliable support.
Additionally, he passively heals your most vulnerable ally by 10% each turn. For stage 18, where you need to defeat enemies while under 7 or more buffs, Klodd contributes by placing three buffs himself, helping to meet that requirement.
HONOURABLE MENTIONS
Lorn The Cutter
The main reason to include Lorn in your team is for Stage 5, where Leech is required – and he stands out as the best option for this debuff among the Epic champions in the faction. Outside of that, he also brings Heal Reduction, which can be useful against certain enemies, and has the ability to manipulate Turn Meter on single targets for a bit of added control.
Skraank
When facing stage 12, where the condition is to place 15 or more HP Burns on enemies, there’s no better candidate than the Void affinity champion Skraank. He can apply HP Burn to all enemies while dealing solid damage with the same skill, and he boosts his Turn Meter by 15% for each critical hit. On top of that, his passive increases his ATK and Crit Damage by 5% each time an HP Burn activates, stacking up to 25% for even more damage output.
His A2 adds further value by applying Increase Attack to himself when hitting a burned target and healing in the process, while his A1 can place Weaken. Overall, Skraank is a strong nuker for general content, with the added HP Burn utility you may need if you’re short on other options.
Maneater
The waves you’ll face are tough, and if you’re looking for a strong support champion to help your team survive fatal hits and incoming debuffs, Maneater is a solid option. He applies both Unkillable and Block Debuffs to all allies, offering powerful protection – though with a 5-turn cooldown, you may want to use sets like Reflex to cycle it more frequently. He also brings some control by fully depleting a target’s Turn Meter and filling his own to rotate back to key skills faster. On top of that, his A1 has a chance to apply Decrease Attack to all enemies if it lands as a critical hit.
Grunch Killjoy & Galkut
When taking on stage 11, you’ll quickly see why these under-the-radar champions are worth mentioning. The stage requires you to defeat 10 or more enemies using Bomb debuffs, and if you don’t have the Legendary War mother, you’ll need to rely on these alternatives to get the job done. To boost their effectiveness, make sure to have Increase Attack on your Bomb champions and apply Weaken to enemies to amplify the damage. It also helps to chip away at enemy HP so the Bombs can secure the kills. Hopefully, another Bomb-focused champion is added to the faction soon – this challenge is no easy task!
Urogrim
Although only Stage 1 requires you to apply Poisons, this champion can definitely help you meet that requirement – and he’s also a strong option for Stage 10, where you need to use at least 3 Epic champions. He applies two Poisons to all enemies, places Continuous Heal on allies, and his A2 fully cleanses a single target while healing them by 40%. A simple yet effective champion for both Poison damage and team support.
