Top 10 Epic Poisoners for the Demon Lord Clan Boss!
The Poison debuff is one of the best ways to deal consistent damage to bosses like the Dragon – and in this instance, the Demon Lord Clan Boss. This effect deals damage at the start of the target’s turn – unless instantly activated by an ally – for either 2.5% or 5% of their MAX HP, depending on the version applied. Most champions from Rare rarity and above place the stronger 5% version.
In today’s list, we’re focusing mainly on Epic champions who not only apply Poisons but also bring additional utility to your team. Whether it’s through buffs, debuffs, or raw damage, these extra effects are key to building a well balanced Clan Boss team. The best poisoner for your team often comes down to the type of setup you’re running, which is why the champions in this list are not ranked in any particular order.

Fahrakin has stood the test of time as a staple in many players’ Clan Boss teams. When it comes to Poisons, he places two alongside a HP Burn through his A2. This balance of debuffs is ideal, as it avoids overcrowding the debuff bar and leaves room for other key effects your team may bring. He also provides an Ally Attack to boost overall damage output and increase the frequency of A1 debuff placements. On top of that, he boosts allies’ Crit Rate and Crit Damage, places Decrease Defence on his A1, and deals solid raw damage with his A2. For survivability, 20% of the damage Fahrakin would take is instead spread evenly across all allies.
Heal Reduction doesn’t directly impact the Clan Boss, but Venomage uses it in a unique way – reducing the damage allies take by 15% when the debuff is active. This makes Venomage a great option for team sustain, and they also place two 5% Poisons alongside this effect. For added utility, the A2 applies Decrease Defence, and if the target is under Poison, it also applies Decrease Attack. The A1 has a chance to activate Poison debuffs, tying the kit together with strong synergy. Venomage helps reduce incoming damage, apply Poisons, and boost your team’s overall output. Plus, the 45 Accuracy Aura is a big help for progressing accounts.
Both Decrease Defence and Weaken are key debuffs for boosting your team’s damage, and Fayne brings both through her A3, while also healing herself based on the number of debuffs on the target. Her A2 adds even more value by placing Decrease Attack to reduce incoming damage, along with two 5% Poisons for consistent damage output. When combined, these effects make her an incredibly well rounded Epic – offering strong debuffs, and raw damage with the right build.
This champion is the fourth Epic you’ll acquire by collecting fragments from Secret Rooms in the Normal Doom Tower. What makes him stand out is his passive, which reduces the Critical Rate of enemies under two or more Poisons by 15% – a great way to prevent your team from being wiped by unlucky crits. He also brings strong Poison utility, applying three Poisons and Poison Sensitivity with his A3, while his A2 places Decrease Attack and extends all debuffs on the target. This combination ensures consistent damage, reduces incoming damage, and helps keep debuffs active for longer.
Unlike other champions on today’s list, Toragi applies Poisons through his passive when he’s hit. With a 50% chance to place a Poison per hit, his value really shines against affinity Clan Boss, where he’s recieving multiple hits. Combined with his Ally Protection, Shield, and self-healing, he’s a strong option for keeping your team & himself alive while contributing damage over time. On top of that, his A1 brings Decrease Attack, helping further reduce the damage your team takes.
Urogrim is a simple yet highly effective support champion for Clan Boss. His A3 places two 5% Poisons on enemies while applying a Continuous Heal to all allies, offering both strong damage over time and HP sustain. He can also remove all debuffs from an ally and heal them by 40%, making him perfect for cleansing your lead Stun target and restoring their health. On top of that, his A1 has a chance to place additional Poisons, adding even more value to his kit.
Aox really shines when paired with champions that bring Ally Attack or Counterattack to the team. This is thanks to his A1, which has a 30% chance per hit to apply Poison – making those extra hits valuable. What earns him a spot on this list is the rest of his supportive kit: he brings Decrease Attack to reduce incoming damage, a team heal that scales based on the number of debuffs on the target, and a passive that can extend the duration of 2 random debuffs when he’s attacked, helping to keep your key effects active longer.
Occult Brawler is the only champion on this list who brings no additional utility outside of Poison, but his value lies in how effective he is without books. Most of his Poison output comes from his passive, which has a 70% chance to place a 4 turn Poison on a target at the start of each turn. His A1 also has a 50% chance to place a Poison without books, with the option to boost it to 60% if you choose to invest. For accounts that are still building out their roster, having such a reliable Poisoner that doesn’t require Skill Tomes is a huge win, and you can focus his build more toward survivability if you’re struggling to keep him alive.
One downside to this champion is how long it takes to acquire her, as she’s the eighth champion you’ll earn fragments for through the Normal Doom Tower Secret Rooms. That said, she brings a strong Poison kit, placing two 5% Poisons and Poison Sensitivity with her A2, along with a chance to place more Poisons through her A1. Her passive also has a chance to increase the duration of Poison when she’s attacked, helping keep them active for longer. On top of that, Luburga provides both Increase Attack and Increase Defence, boosting your team’s damage while improving survivability.
This champion has been a staple in both Non-Unkillable and Unkillable teams since his release – and for good reason. His A3 and A1 reliably apply Decrease Defence and Weaken to boost your team’s damage output, while also providing self-healing based on the damage he deals. He’s also capable of strong raw damage across all his skills when built correctly. His Poisons come from the A2, with each hit having a chance to place both Poison and Decrease Accuracy. Additionally, he can self buff with Increase Attack or Increase Defence when his HP drops below certain thresholds.
HONOURABLE MENTIONS
As mentioned at the start, this top 10 list mainly focused on champions who bring extra utility alongside their Poison debuffs – whether that’s buffs, debuffs, or just helping your team in more ways than one. That said, Poison is Poison, and depending on the type of team you’re running – Like a specific Unkillable comp where Poison is all you want to fill a gap – or if you simply don’t have access to the champions listed above, here are some other strong options worth considering:
SUIREN
- Although this champion shines most when paired with Ally Attack or Counterattack champions, she earns an hounourable mention for similar reasons to Fayne. Her kit includes Decrease Defence and Weaken to boost your team’s damage, along with a 50% chance per hit on her A1 to place Poisons. While counterattacks or Ally Attacks help maximize her Poison application, even without them, she still brings a strong mix of utility to a Clan Boss team.
STEELSKULL
- This champion also pairs well with Ally Attack or Counterattack setups, giving more opportunities to land Poisons through his A1, which has a 35% chance per hit to place one. On top of that, he provides Increase Defence and team-wide healing for sustain, along with a single target heal and cleanse – perfect for removing the Stun debuff from your stun target and restoring their health right after.
MYCILIAC PRIEST ORN
- Myciliac is a true example of someone fully built around Poisons, with the ability to place or activate them across all of his skills. His A3 places two 5% Poisons and Poison Sensitivity, while also healing him for each Poison applied. This works perfectly with his passive, which increases his Defence by 5% – up to 25% – for every Poison activated on enemies. He can instantly trigger those Poisons with his A2, and his A1 brings even more chances to place them.
URTICATA
- Urticata is unique in how she applies Poisons, as none of her active skills directly place them. Instead, her A3 applies Hex, and her passive grants a 25% chance to place a Poison whenever she or an ally lands a critical hit on the Hexed target. In theory, this turns your entire team into poisoners – just be mindful of the debuff bar filling up quickly. She also brings Poison Sensitivity and extends the duration of Poisons with her A1, making her a strong option for certain Unkillable team setups.
ROWAN
- Rowan can stack a loads of Poisons for your team, thanks to her A3 hitting four times with a 100% chance to place a Poison on each hit. The main drawback is that she’s quite fragile, so surrounding her with the right support – or using her in an Unkillable team is the safest option. Outside of this skill, her kit doesn’t offer much for Clan Boss, with Heal Reduction and Stun effects that aren’t really needed. However, all those multi-hits make her a great candidate for triggering Giant Slayer procs.
CORPSE COLLECTOR
- This champion has flown under the radar for years, but actually has a solid kit for Clan Boss. Her A3 delivers three random hits, each with a chance to place a Poison – perfect for Clan Boss, where all hits focus on a single target. She also applies Veil to herself, helping reduce incoming AOE damage for added sustain. On top of that, her A1 can place Leech, allowing your team to heal from the damage they deal.
TAYA
- Taya is another you can acquire by collecting fragments from Secret Rooms in the Normal Doom Tower. While she can deal solid raw damage through her active skills, her standout feature is the ability to place three 5% Poisons with her triple hitting A2. To complement this, her A3 can instantly activate both HP Burn and Poison effects – especially useful if you’re running a burner in your team. Unfortunately, she also brings two less useful debuffs for Clan Boss – Heal Reduction and Decrease Accuracy – which can clutter the debuff bar.
JULIANA
- Since her slight buff a couple of years ago, Juliana has become a solid option to consider once again. She was once one of the go to champions for Clan Boss in the early days of Raid, and we’d love to hear if any of you are still using her today! Her A2 applies Increase Crit Rate to herself, meaning you only need to build her with 70% Crit Rate, and if both hits are critical, she places two 5% Poisons with a 3-turn duration. Her A3 strips buffs from the target and places HP Burn, which is great for removing Increase Attack from the affinity Clan Boss. Just make sure she reaches 100% Crit Rate to avoid Turn Meter disruption from her A1, and be aware her main weakness is against Force affinity.
It would be great to see with legendary champs too!
