HH Gaming – F2P 2025 Team Recap 1

We are now coming up to two weeks in the HH Gaming Free 2 Play 2025 Competition, and with that in mind, we decided to give a little bit of a recap on where things stand with the members of the team.

We’ll dive into each member of the HH Gaming Team and see what they’ve achieved so far, who has been their MVP of the account as well as what they are focussing on in the near future.

Hellhades

Hellhades’ update is slightly out of date as he is away for a few days, so he updated us on Friday, many things may have changed since then – we will be sure to do a more in-depth update on his account when he is back :)

In the first week, Hellhades managed to lock in 2x 6 Stars and began pushing for his third, whilst doing really well on Arbiter Missions – almost certainly going to set himself a personal record for how fast he acquires Arbiter.

His favourite Champion so far has been Alice. When he updated us he had only had her for 2 days, she felt so powerful at rank 5 that he couldn’t wait to get her to rank 6!

The biggest challenge so far has been fusing Justiciar, it took him thousands of energy to get 2 of the 4 rares!

Hellhades’ focuses turned to his third rank 6 whilst pushing Doom Tower each day, whilst hopefully grabbing some souls for his Champions and sniping events where possible!

Saphyrra

Saph started the tournament off by picking up Hoskarul as his promo code Champion which was a different choice compared to most other players, but he’s been making it work very nicely!

One of Saph’s biggest achievements this year has been his absolutely insane RNG with gear, allowing him to build his first 60 (Alice) in a ridiculously strong build already.

He’s got 3 sets of masteries completed and managed to pick up all of the rewards from the Event Dungeon Tournament.

Saph’s goal this week will be to make 2 more Rank 6s and push his account level to Level 45.

YST

YST’s journey kicked off with Kael as the starter champion, a strategic choice for his Poison utility in Dragon and Clan Boss. Day 1 focused on campaign progression, milestone missions, and unlocking dungeons like Potion Keeps. Early shard pulls brought Bowf the Rancid, and through promo codes he picked up Alure, and key champions like Tagoar and Uugo, setting up a strong start.

By Days 3 and 4, the account saw incredible luck with the first two Legendaries: Opardin Clanfather and The Mad Hatter, both offering strong support for the team. Campaign and dungeon progress accelerated, leading to the first 6-star champion, Kael, on Day 6. Uugo followed as the second 6-star, her support and utility aiding in early Doom Tower clears.

Despite energy challenges, Days 7 and 8 saw the Brutal campaign completed and more Sacred Shards earned. Though the shard pulls didn’t yield more Legendaries, progress in Clan Boss, dungeons, and Doom Tower remained steady. By Day 10, the account hit key milestones in missions, earned valuable Relentless gear, and prepped for the third 6-star champion.

The focus now shifts to refining the roster, farming better gear, and progressing through Doom Tower and higher-level dungeons. Challenges persist, but the foundation for success is solid!

Nubs

Nubs admits he’s spent an unhealthy amount of time playing the game in the last week, but all in the name of competition!

He’s been putting a heavy focus on farming Campaign (either 12-3 or 12-6 Brutal) whilst only doing Dungeons when needed for his missions, which makes his progress all the more impressive as he was the first to push to stage 17 in two different dungeons within the first week!

His favourite Champion so far has been Kael, surprisingly Nubs has never really used him before, but has found his TM Boost very useful for waves like Arena, Spider, and Campaign!

The biggest challenge that Nubs has faced so far was Fire Knight Stage 1 for a mission, he had ZERO speed on any of his Champions at the time so had to hold back a little to get some gear before challenging it!

His focus now remains on farming more Rank 6 Champions whilst planning missions are the potion keeps opening, he also vows that he’s going to start saving shards… as he’s been yoloing everything so far!

Neva

Neva hit the competition hard at the start, stupidly staying up till gone 7 am grinding on the first night, however it paid off as he was able to get himself a Harima from his first sacred shard which has proved to be an invaluable asset to push him through content since the start.

Neva has focussed on progressing Arbiter Missions whilst also building out more Rank-6 Champions, of which he has 3 so far – Alice, Kael and Harima who was his first.

Regarding Arbiter Missions, Neva is currently at 45/75 on Part 3, waiting for Potion Keeps to open up to be able to continue.

Over the weekend, Neva managed to complete all the Dungeon Missions to get another Sacred Shard, which took a lot of work but was helped by the pull of a rare Champion, Runic Warder due to the Reflect Damage buffs.

This week Neva will be continuing to progress missions when available whilst farming Masteries for his Alice, after which he will move back into the campaign to work on his 4th and 5th Rank 6 Champions, who as it stands will be Uugo and Dawncaller Sabitha due to not having many other options currently available.

Lockers

Lockers has spent the first week and a bit regretting his starting promocode after picking Mausoleum Mage (In his mind he was picking Gorgorab…) but that hasn’t slowed him down, he’s been grinding away with a lot of the last few days spent taking advantage of the Speed Event in Dragon (without much luck sadly).

His favourite Champion so far has been Drokgul the Gaunt who has pleasantly surprised him as a versatile support who’s helped him get through some tough situations.

Over the coming days, Lockers is going to be working on getting more Champions to Lv.60 although he’s not decided exactly who the focus of that will be yet.

In terms of accomplishments, Lockers’ biggest Featin  this competition has been putting his old man (Hellhades) to shame by slaying him in the arena!

Grimm

It’s surprising that Grimm has found any time to play with the amount of Free 2 Play content he’s had to edit since the competition began, but alas, he’s been grinding away!

Grimm hit Level 40 around the same time as everybody else and has been working on his second 6-Star Champion whilst also farming the Justiciar Fusion rares (He actually had them and fed them… whoops)

His favourite Champion so far has been Tagoar from the starter code, he’s been a huge carry in all areas for him with valuable revives and buffs!

The future focus will be on getting more 6-star Champions, and he also wants to push a little into Fire Knight to acquire some useful Regeneration and Savage gear to help propel his account to the next level.

CrouchingGrandpa

Gramps has been an absolute beast during this years competition, despite his terrible, terrible luck, he’s yet to pull a legendary and his epics have been mediocre at best (and that’s being kind).

In his first week, he got Kael and Alice to Rank 6 and has begun “lazer focus” on the Arbiter missions, whilst also trying to bank another sacred from challenges before farming Alice’s masteries. Unfortunately, gear or lack thereof has been his biggest hurdle so far, with poor Lifesteal from the Apprentice pass and absolutely no luck with the Slayer promo code.

Due to Gramps awful luck when it comes to shards, his favourite Champion is Kael!

Gramps was met by a hurdle at Doom Tower floor 30, the Nether Spider proved to be a difficult task for his account but he managed to get through it yesterday!

Going forward, his goals are:

  • Sun Wukong to 60
  • Alice Masteries/Beat FK13
  • More focus on Missions
  • Hopefully, get a fraction of luck and get himself a 4th Champion worth investing in!

Gramps has also been livestreaming on YouTube every day to show his progress, so be sure to check in and support him as he battles the gods of RNG!
