The Best Stun Champions In Raid: Shadow Legends!

The Stun debuff is one of the most powerful crowd control effects in Raid: Shadow Legends. It’s effective for controlling enemies in both PVE and PVP, as it prevents the affected enemy from taking their next turn, giving your team more time to cycle their abilities and defeat them. However, it can be countered by effects like Block Debuffs, Stoneskin, cleansers, or simply getting resisted if you lack the necessary accuracy. In today’s article, we’ll showcase some of the best AOE Stun champions in the game, focusing on the frequency of their Stun placements, their chance to land, and their overall effectiveness beyond just applying Stuns. It may also be worth considering building certain AOE champions, like Mighty Ukko, in Stun sets. Since these sets don’t require accuracy to apply, they are particularly effective against high-resistance targets.

While many champions can apply Stuns, some are limited to single target effects, have conditional requirements, or simply don’t have as good of chances to land or have longer cooldowns than the ones highlighted today. However, they can still be valuable in various areas of the game! Be sure to check out the full list of Stun champions below!

LEGENDARY CHAMPIONS

ODIN FAEFATHER

Odin Faefather Portrait

Odin joined Raid as part of the Asgard Divide event and has been highly sought after by players whenever there’s a chance to get him. His A2 removes all buffs from enemies and places Decrease Defence and Stun debuffs, making it easier to land your effects by stripping away their protection. With its 3 turn cooldown, you can use this ability frequently. Odin also applies Block Damage and spreads buffs to allies every 9 turns, which can be a real nuisance for enemies to face. His A3 is a powerful single target nuke based on enemy Max HP that ignores defence, adding solid damage for a support champion. Additionally, his A1 places Berserk, making enemies deal 50% more damage but also take 50% more!

ARMANZ THE MAGNIFICENT

Armanz the magnificent Portrait

Armanz is easily one of the most impactful fusion released in Raid, and it’s no surprise that he’s frequently banned in Live Arena. His ability to consistently lock out enemies sets him apart from many other champions. His Stun effect comes from his A2, where he steals Turn Meters from enemies and places a Stun on those not under a Sheep debuff. The Turn Meter steal can grant him an immediate extra turn, allowing him to cycle back to this skill faster and chain into his other abilities. His A3 applies a Sheep debuff that cannot be blocked, strips buffs from all enemies, and fills his Turn Meter by 5% for each buff removed. This not only removes tedious targets from the fight but also synergizes with his passive to increase the cooldown of one of their skills when the Sheep debuff expires. Whether in PVE or PVP, Armanz truly reigns as a crowd control king!

ASTRALON

Aside from his synergy with Countess Lix, Astralon has been a great choice for crowd control and damage since his release. His A3 makes him a strong counter to teams with Glaicad or Duchess [as examples], as he can remove buffs from enemies under Veil or Perfect Veil, places Weaken on them, and follows up with a Stun. Even when not dealing with Veils, his reliable 100% Stun chance makes him a solid option. His A2 is a hard hitting single target nuke that ignores multiple forms of protection, with the added bonus of reviving an ally if it kills the enemy, which can be clutch in PVP or Faction Wars. His kit is rounded out with a Decrease Defence on his A1 and a passive that boosts his Turn Meter when allies are hit, while reducing incoming damage if his Attack stats is higher than theirs.

This Block Damage is triggered when an ally is about to take a fatal hit, giving them a chance to stay in the fight. Additionally, Goffred brings utility with an Increase Defence buff for allies, removes Decrease Defence and Weaken effects from them, and has an A1 that can place both Decrease Defence and Provoke, adding more Crowd Control to his kit.
