Clover Clan Boss Draft – The Final Results!

Spacer

Another year’s Clan Boss Draft Competition has come to a close, with the Clover Clan Boss final results taking place yesterday evening.

This time around things was much more challenging compared to last year, as the restrictions were much tighter on who could be used, and even the Community got a say in banning the contestant’s champions.

If you’re not familiar with the event, check out the full event page here.

So, without further ado, let’s go through the results of the event, and see who is crowned 2023’s Clan Boss Champion.

5th Place – Coldbrewgaming

Coldbrew was the first to show off his team, and opted to swap out his Runekeeper Dazdurk, in place for a very surprising option, Broadmaw, the permanent Epic Fusion – who’d have thought they’d ever see Broadmaw in an Ultra-Nightmare Clan Boss team??

Coldbrew opted to fully gear his team in Lifesteal, to keep his team alive for as long as possible in order to compete for the most damage.

Broadmaw: 171 Speed, Lifesteal and Defiant Sets.
Venomage: 231 Speed, Lifesteal and Accuracy Sets.
White Dryad Nia: 232 Speed, Lifesteal and Defiant Sets.
Jareg: 251 Speed, Lifesteal and Defiant Sets.
Liburga: 215 Speed, Lifesteal and Cruel Sets.

Coldbrews team managed to survive till Turn 50 and finished on 30,448,335 Damage – Around 5 million short of a 2 Key.

4th Place – NubRaids

Next up to showcase their team was Nub, and well, to say that Nub went through hell and back to make his team would be an understatement, when Nub picked Ruella in the draft, it was a slight gamble because he didn’t actually own one… thus didn’t have access to one on the test server.

Thankfully, Content Creator accounts are stacked with 1 billion gems (yes, literally), on the Test server so he was able to pull nearly 3500 Ancient Shards before landing himself a Ruella (250,000 gems roughly!).

Nubs opted to drop his Ghrush the Mangler from his team in place of Tagoar.

The team was built in a mix of Guardian Sets and Bloodthirst from the forge as he had little to no Lifesteal available.

Tagoar: 301 Speed, Guardian and Speed Sets.
Dark Kael: 185 Speed, Bloodthirst and Perception Sets.
Sepulcher Sentinel: 225 Speed, Guardian and Perception Sets.
Ruella: 253 Speed, Bloodthirst and Perception Sets.
Sandlashed Survivor: 200 Speed, Guardian and Resilience Sets.

Nub’s team managed to survive till Turn 38 and finished on 37,948,603 Damage – a 2 Key!

3rd Place – DeadwoodJedi

Deadwood was actually the fourth contestant to showcase their team, however, he was outshined and only finished 3rd place!

Deadwood, unfortunately, made a mistake in his draft and named the wrong Champion, picking Trumbor over Tagoar, however with his free sub, he chose to instead take Steelskull, one of the OG’s of Clan Boss.

One of Deadwood’s biggest secrets in his team was the fact that he had a 5* Grizzled Jarl, and a 6* Anax awakening, allowing him to get some massive benefits from Blessings!

The team was built in a mix of Guardian Sets and Stalwart sets in order to keep the team alive as long as possible.

Steelskull: 220 Speed, Guardian and Mixed Sets.
Skullcrusher: 251 Speed, Guardian and Defiant Sets.
Archmage Hellmut: 326 Speed, Stalwart and Speed Sets.
Grizzled Jarl: 252 Speed, Guardian and Mixed Sets.
Anax: 199 Speed, Stalwart and Perception Sets.

Deadwood’s team managed to survive till Turn 45 (just about!) and finished on 70,342,025 Damage – Scraping ONE KEY by the skin of his teeth!

Runner Up – YST

YST was the third to showcase his team, and out of all 5, he was the ONLY one who opted to not use his substitute, sticking with his original 5 drafted Champions.

He was on a path of redemption following his defeat to DeadwoodJedi in the race to Ultra-Nightmare Clan Boss in our Free to Play 2023 Series, and he proved worthy with an incredibly well-constructed 2:1 White Whale Team, that lasted way longer than anybody expected.

The team was built nearly exclusively in Guardian Sets, in order to keep the team alive as long as possible, with the exception of Rearguard which was built in Stalwart for sustain.

Geomancer: 215 Speed, Guardian and Mixed Sets.
Godseeker Aniri: 246 Speed, Guardian and Mixed Sets.
High Khatun: 268 Speed, Toxic and Mixed Sets.
Hotatsu: 196 Speed, Guardian and Mixed Sets.
Rearguard Sergeant: 244 Speed, Stalwart and Perception Sets.

YST’s team managed to survive till Turn a whopping Turn 85 and finished on 80,811,833 Damage – Which took all of the creators by shock and left them in the dust, bar one…

The 2023 Clan Boss Champion (again): Hellhades!

Hellhades has once again retained his throne, with an absolutely insane team, with a secret weapon that packs a punch!

Hades had a point to prove, and that he did, using one of Raid’s squishiest Champions (Fayne) and managing to keep her alive for an insane amount of time.

The team was built nearly exclusively in Guardian Sets, in order to keep the team alive as long as possible, with the exception of Rearguard which was built in Stalwart for sustain.

Toragi the Frog: 268 Speed, Stalwart and Defiant Sets.
Fayne: 196 Speed, Reflex and Mixed Sets.
Klodd Beastfeeder: 259 Speed, Guardian and Speed Sets.
Anchorite: 232 Speed, Guardian and Cruel Sets.
Morag Bronzelock: 248 Speed, Guardian and Mixed Sets.

Hellhades team managed to survive till Turn 80 and finished on 88,974,986 Damage – Making him the retaining ‘King of Clan Boss!
Side note: Hellhades’ Fayne did more damage than Coldbrew’s entire team!

You can watch his breakdown of the winning team in the video below.

I don’t know where I should comment this, but I would like to know if there will ever be a search function on the team optimiser. For example, I could search Teela Goremane, and then I would receive teams from all areas that include Teela. Also, congrats HH on repeating on the clan boss draft. Three-peat incoming next year?
