Nub Raids Top 20 Arena Champions
Live Arena is more competitive than ever, and Nub’s account is a perfect look at what a late–game, high–end roster actually leans on day-to-day. Rather than theorycrafting in a vacuum, this is a practical breakdown of the 20 champions he uses most in Arena right now, how he builds them, and what roles they fill in his teams.
Expect a heavy focus on damage dealers backed by a small core of premium support and control pieces, plus some spicy mythical relic tech along the way.
Below you’ll find a quick overview of each champion, their sets, key stats, and what they’re actually doing for the team in Live Arena, Siege and Classic.
Frolni is a strong but slightly overshadowed mythical nuker. He’s built in Lethal + Stone Skin with high HP, good speed and big crit damage, leaning into his passive that converts max HP into crit damage and his A3 scaling from HP. Life Harvest is a perfect blessing for him, he loves fighting revive teams, gaining turn meter and max HP destruction when enemies get brought back. He’s especially good into squishy revivers and Sun Wukong type teams, but on Nub’s account he’s outshone by stronger nukers like Nais, Embrys and Marius.
Karnage is one of the most underrated Arena threats in Nub’s roster. Built in Lethal + Stone Skin with high speed, damage and plenty of accuracy, he brings Block Passives, Block Actives and Seal, which disables enemy gear sets and offensive masteries. Turning off Lethal/Merciless and things like Helmsmasher guts enemy damage dealers and makes Carnage far easier to keep alive. His passive spreading of debuffs on counterattacks and short cooldowns make him a hard counter to many meta carries, and he doesn’t even need accuracy on his alternate form to start deleting people.
Galleus is a powerful Skinwalkers defense nuker who competes with Marius for the same Stone Skin + Lethal gear. Because Nub prioritises Marius, Galleus is currently missing ideal Stone Skin, but he still hits hard with high DEF, speed, crit damage and some accuracy. He excels as a counter to Block Damage champions like Odin, if they rely on Block Damage to survive, he absolutely claps them. Life Harvest synergises nicely with his turn meter steal and nukes, and Nub notes he’d be perfect with the Stormcaller relic thanks to his immunity to stuns and polymorph.
Lazarius is currently Nub’s fastest champion at 437 speed, built as a hybrid opener/nuker. He runs high speed, solid accuracy and respectable damage, with crit damage gloves, attack% chest and DPS jewellery where possible. In alternate form he gains a big crit damage buff, making his AoE surprisingly threatening despite lacking ignore DEF. The Crown of Corruption mythical relic adds both speed and crit damage plus extra durability, and combined with damage boosting gems he can swap forms and nuke immediately if the enemy isn’t in Stone Skin. Lazarius also brings buff removal and turn meter manipulation, making him a versatile pick.
Nais is one of the core reasons Nub’s win rate jumped in Live Arena. Built in Lethal + Feral with a Reaction piece, he’s an extremely fast HP nuker with huge HP, high crit damage and almost 300 base speed that can effectively double in his alternate form when allies die. Wand of Submission is the go-to relic here, protecting him from crowd control and polymorph, while gems that boost HP, damage and reduce ignore DEF make him terrifying to kill. Alternative relics like Zibia’s Servitude, Chain Breaker or Stars of the Gang can push him into ultra–toxic territory with high resistance or self–cleanse, but even in his current setup he’s a meta–defining carry.
Embrys is a free champion that performs like a premium nuker. Nubs runs him in Savage + Stone Skin, aiming for high speed and damage so he can be his fastest nuker. His ability to remove Stone Skin makes him a near auto–pick in many matches, though Lightning Cage can still block that strip which is why it’s so popular. For Arena he’s built with very little accuracy, fully committed to damage. Embrys doesn’t currently have a blessing on Nub’s account, but Life Harvest or Lightning Cage would both be excellent options, especially at higher star levels where the stats spike.
Rotos might be one of the least used of the 20, but he’s still a potent threat. Nub has him in nine–piece Merciless for maximum snowball damage, though his speed is currently low at ~240 compared to the rest of the roster. Rotos loves flat HP on his ring and ascensions due to how his kit scales, while still stacking attack% on chest and banner. Ward of the Fallen gives extra “bone armor” damage that scales off his high attack, and gets much better at 6-star. His dream relic would be Death Dealer, letting him bypass Force–affinity tanks like Ultimate Deathknight and Galathir and fully weaponise his passive.
Marius is one of Nub’s most used champions. He’s built in Lethal + Stone Skin with a splash of Slayer to reach 100% crit rate, high defense, high speed, big crit damage and solid accuracy. A +15 Cat’s Gaze relic pumps his damage even further, at the cost of vulnerability to stuns and polymorph, which Nub accepts for the extra threat. Soul Reap is the chosen blessing for Arena, giving lethal finishing power against champions like Nais or Siegfrund who survive with passives; Crushing Rend would be better for pure PvE boss content. With reliable Infeeble and massive AoE nukes, Marius is a cornerstone of Nub’s Arena damage core.
Siphi remains one of Nub’s favourite supports. She’s geared in nine–piece Protection, sitting at 427 speed with good tankiness and strong buff uptime. Protected buffs from Protection make her cleanses, heals and turn meter boosts extremely hard to disrupt. Wand of Submission again is a premium relic here, helping her shrug off polymorph and hard CC, and Nub runs Intimidating Presence to amplify his team’s speed auras. She’s especially good into bomb and control teams, though Supersonic sets on enemies can still cause headaches by cutting in on her turn order.
Armanz is built almost entirely around going fast, landing CC and keeping enemies locked down. Nub runs him in five Supersonic plus Feral/Pinpoint filler with around 410 speed and ~600 accuracy, plus a juicy refresh banner. He also stacks gems that grant extra accuracy when placing stuns/sheep and speed for every CC’d enemy, which are huge on him. Wand of Submission adds protection versus polymorph. Nub notes that Chrono Cube would be his ideal relic, enabling an A3 buff strip into instant A2 AoE stun/turn meter steal combo that can win fights on the spot, especially on defense.
Lady Noellle is built almost exclusively to pair with Sir Nicholas. Nub runs her in eight pieces of Stone Skin for massive resistance and survivability, with decent speed and just enough tankiness. Accuracy is largely wasted in her most common usage, so future optimisation will likely strip that out. Harp of Caspial is a surprisingly strong relic for her, feeding her turn meter whenever she uses non–damaging skills; combined with resistance gems it helps her keep Stone Skin and buffs up through early attempts at strip and CC. Lightning Cage, Temporal Chains, Polymorph or Intimidating Presence would all be viable alternate blessings depending on team comp.
Ankora is currently built as a tanky reviver in four Stone Skin plus Bolster. She’s stacked with high HP and big resistance to keep her alive through enemy openers, with Aspect of Siroth to destroy attacker max HP and provide extra anti–sheep resistance. Life Harvest adds more punishment versus revive–heavy teams. Nub notes that Vardiac Heart would be an ideal future relic for her – the resistance, magma shield and defensive utility are tailored to that “unmovable reviver” role, especially when paired with Narses.
Fabian is one of Nub’s key speed controllers. Built in five Supersonic, two Feral and two Righteous, he currently sits at 391 speed with over 600 accuracy and will push over 400 once he gets a six–star soul. Temporal Stagnator is the chosen relic, giving great stats and a chance to increase enemy cooldowns even on weak hits – huge for a champion who can struggle with affinity. Temporal Chains is the blessing of choice, synergising with his turn meter pushback and working nicely alongside Marius by feeding counterattacks. Wand is the safer option, but Nub likes the high ceiling and disruption of the current setup.
Hegemon remains a staple opener on Nub’s account. He’s geared in six–piece Merciless with maximum damage in mind, backed by a Cat’s Gaze relic to spike his first hit even harder. The job is simple: go first, slam the enemy team and soften or kill any non–Stone Skin targets. He currently has a more PvE–leaning blessing, and Nub admits Soul Reap would make more sense for Arena, giving him extra kill pressure on high–HP targets that survive his initial AoE.
Sanguine Maria is a champion Nub loves but finds awkward to draft consistently. She’s built with high speed, top–end damage, a Wand of Submission and Life Harvest to punish revivers. When piloted manually in the right team, she’s absolutely insane thanks to her guaranteed extra turn setup and huge burst; however, she’s much harder to use on defense and in quick Live Arena drafts where there’s less time to structure an entire comp around her kit. If Nub had Nekhret, she’d gain a lot of safety and likely jump up in priority.
Frejya is currently in nine–piece Protection with meaningful damage stats and decent speed. Nub uses her as a pseudo–Siphi in some teams: providing strong buffs, Protection–boosted durability and some extra damage on the side. Wand of Submission plus Lightning Cage protect her from CC and buff removal, while Helm Smasher lets her chip enemies down. She can be re–geared into more resistance, more damage or more speed depending on account needs, making her one of the more flexible supports in the pool.
Ultimate Deathknight is built to be as annoying as possible. Six–piece Stone Skin, triple Reaction, huge resistance and Aspect of Siroth to chip enemy max HP on hits all combine to make him a brick wall in front of Nub’s carries. At higher blessing levels, the bone armor effect from his relic setup becomes surprisingly impactful thanks to his attack scaling, and Life Harvest or Temporal Chains can add even more value. His job is simple: soak hits, waste enemy turns and keep the rest of the team safe.
Yumeko has recently been regeared into Supersonic with some Feral/Pinpoint filler, focusing on speed first and accepting low accuracy for now. She sits just under 400 speed with room for improvement via glyphs and a future blessing. Wand of Submission offers protection from polymorph, while Temporal Chains synergises with her turn meter control – the idea is to cut in with Supersonic, slow enemies, then reset or lock them out. Nub uses her often alongside Fabian for layered control chains.
Nub’s main Kalvalax runs in four Pinpoint pieces specifically to avoid polymorph, plus pure damage/accuracy elsewhere. He’s high attack, high accuracy and built to kill almost entirely through poisons and debuffs, backed by an Arachnixir relic that massively boosts his AoE damage when poisons land. In a perfect world he’d lean even harder into attack% everywhere and accuracy on relics, relying on his debuffs to win fights without needing traditional crit–based nukes.
Gnishak rounds out Nub’s top 20 as a stat–hungry bomber. He’s in four Pinpoint plus Stone Skin and a Feral piece for extra accuracy, stacking high attack, good speed and as much accuracy as possible. His bombs convert into poisons, and with a good Arachnixir or bomb–boosting circle relic he can either kill with the bombs themselves or let the poisons finish the job. Lethal Dose is fine at 3-star but really comes online at 5-star and above, and Nub notes that swapping to a pure bomb–boosting relic might be a better long–term choice.
Across these 20 champions you can see the pattern of a mature late–game Arena account: an overstacked bench of premium nukers backed by a very small but extremely high–quality pool of supports and controllers. Gear quality, mythical relics and blessings are doing just as much work as the champions themselves, and many build choices are driven by account–wide limitations, not theorycraft in isolation.
If you’re looking to emulate this setup, focus first on a couple of core supports and 3–4 premium damage dealers, then layer in relic and blessing choices that match your shard luck and gear. Nub’s builds show just how far you can push Arena performance when you commit your very best gear and resources to a tightly focused group of champions.
