TMNT Event Dungeon – The Easiest One So Far!
Hey everyone, Nub here! Today I’m going to give you a quick guided tour of the fourth Event Dungeon in RAID: Shadow Legends—this time featuring Shredder from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles event.
This limited-time dungeon is currently the main way to get the brand new Chronophage set which has the unique ability to counter enemies who can Increase your Skill Cooldowns. We also expect there to be several tournament and events featuring this dungeon which will reward fragments for the new Discovery Event Relics.
HOW TO BEAT SHREDDER (AS A BOSS)

Compared to the Kurosa Chaos Awakes version, this Event Dungeon is a lot easier.
SHREDDER’S ABILITIES
Shredder rotates through his abilities as follows:
- A3.
- A2.
- A1.
- A1..
- Back to 1.
This means you’ll have two powerful AoE attacks hit your team at the start, followed by two high single-target damage rounds.
Shredder’s A3 will attempt to Steal all Buffs off one of your champions. The most consistent way to counter this is to place Block Buffs on Shredder. You can also gear your buffing champions in the Protection set, for a chance to make your buffs un-stealable.
His A2 will permanently destroy your DEF and boost his MAX HP per crit, making this fight more dangerous over time (though Shredder only has 15% C.RATE). Decrease Crit Rate is an unusual debuff which becomes useful here, even the small version–doubly so since Decrease Attack does not work against Shredder (since his abilities scale off HP, not ATK). You can ignore his Leech debuff, since he has so much HP the healing he will gain is negligible (this is more relevant to players running him in Arena).
His A1 does high single-target damage, so you may need a reviver.
For his passive, bringing Block Buffs is again recommended to stop him gaining Perfect Veil and boosting his A3 damage. Block Debuffs can prevent the True Fear, or consider bringing a champion like Inquisitor Shamael (note that Perfect Veil only counters True Fear in Hydra; it won’t help you here).
Finally, he will receive a 15% damage boost for every dead minion. At lower difficulties he will be alone; at higher difficulties he can have 4, giving a total of 60% damage boost. He will also deflect 30% of incoming damage from him to his minions, but it’s ideal to kill them anyway (check the next major section) so this won’t affect much.
HOW MUCH ACC/RES DO YOU NEED?
Shredder scales up to extremely high ACC and RES by Stage 30 of the Event Dungeon (you will need 505 ACC and 605 RES on your champions to beat him there) but lower Stages are much more manageable.
Check out our Raid Stages Tool to find how much you need for the Stage you are currently fighting.
Note that RES is not very useful against Shredder: his passive True Fear cannot be resisted; the Leech debuff on his A2 can be ignored; so only his A3 Buff Stealing really matters, and it is easier to simply bring Block Buffs to counter it.
BURNS AND ENEMY MAX HP DAMAGE
Compared to Shredder the champion, Shredder the boss has a number of extra passives and immunities:
- Immune to all CC debuffs (including Enfeeble).
- Immune to all HP swapping or balancing effects.
- Immune to cooldown increasing effects.
- Immune to Decrease Speed and anything affecting Turn Meter.
- Like Kurosa as a boss, he only takes 1% MAX HP damage from HP Burn debuffs.
- New since Kurosa, he has a 5% MAX HP damage cap to Enemy Max HP damage dealers.
AWAKENED WEAKNESS
He also has the Awakened Weakness passive, which makes your champions deal up to 50% more damage and take up to 25% reduced damage from him.
In other words, you should try to use champions with high Awakening as much as possible, especially for damage dealers. You will get a 5-star Soul for Michelangelo from login rewards during this event, so he will be a great accessible option for many players in a couple more weeks!
DEALING WITH SHREDDER’S MINIONS

Check our Raid Stages Tool to see each set of minions for each difficulty.
LOWER DIFFICULTIES
On lower difficulties Shredder will have no minions, or only 2 minions.
Once you hit Stage 11, he will have 4 minions from then on. This gives him up to a 60% damage boost from his passive, so it makes the dungeon a lot more dangerous.
Note that on Stage 11-20 he is accompanied by Steelskull and Yuzan the Marooned–could this be a nod to TMNT characters Bebop and Rocksteady?
GENERAL STRATEGY
Despite Shredder’s passive, the general strategy is always to prioritise killing his minions ASAP. This simplifies your team building and removes many variables from the fight.
To kill the minions bring:
- AoE Decrease Defence.
- Optional: AoE Weaken.
- Optional: Buffs to increase damage, such as Increase Attack.
- AoE damage.
If you cannot kill the minions in the first couple of turns, bring a fast AoE CC champion, e.g. a fast Armanz who can Stun them, or a Fabian who can Increase their Skill Cooldowns.
STAGE 20 TIPS
Yuzan can remove a single debuff and give his teammates Block Debuffs, so make sure to get rid of him ASAP (note that he is the tankiest enemy).
Blue affinity champions are ideal to avoid any weak hits.
STAGE 25 TIPS
Lady Kimi isn’t actually that fast: she’s only 235 SPD.
Mighty Ukko is a huge pain due to randomly stealing buffs with his passive and making them Protected. You can stop him activating skills with champions like Fabian or simply place Block Buffs before your team does any buffing.
STAGE 30 TIPS
The final stage is very very nasty with Shu-Zhen having 300 SPD and a 266 SPD Tetsuya cutting in with his passive as well.
Harima’s passive is a massive problem as well, drastically reducing your damage and making it hard to kill the minions quickly.
The easiest way to handle this stage is to bring Block Passive Skills through champions such as Ramantu or Karnage.
Marius is also excellent for Stunning Tetsuya with his A3 (and the minions don’t have the MAX HP Damage cap like the boss does).
SAMPLE TEAMS

Here are some early sample teams for a few different stages of the dungeon. In general, the strategy is fairly simple:
- Place Block Buffs on the boss.
- Kill the minions ASAP.
- Bring enough survivability to survive against Shredder.
Shredder lacks nasty abilities such as Removing Debuffs from his entire team like Kurosa could, which makes this more simple.
STAGE 20 TEAM
The team I used here was:
All of these champions are fully replacable: Uugo brings Block Buffs and Decrease Def; Mad Hatter brings Weaken; Arbiter Increase Attack and TM boost; then the other 2 for damage.
STAGE 25 TEAM
The team I used here was:
This is very similar to the team listed above, but we’ve brought in the previous fusion Kro’khad as our damage: Packmaster TM boosts and Block Buffs; Kro’khad does damage; Lydia Decrease Def and Weaken (and her buffs); Ursala Increase Attack and revive; Vogoth to try keep us alive.
Replacing Vogoth and Ursala with stronger legendary options would make this team even easier. The biggest challenge is keeping Kro’khad alive.
NUB’S STAGE 30 TEAM
The big adjustment for the final stages is to bring Block Passive Skills to neuter Harima and Tetsuya.
The team I’m using here is:
Lamasu provides Block Buffs and Fear on the minions; Marius does damage and Stuns Tetsuya; Karnage does Block Passive Skills then swaps forms for damage; Elva keeps us alive; Lydia Decrease Def and Weaken (and some buffs).

I have been using Siphi, Lilitu, Odin, Marius, and Cheshire for level 30. Takes about 50-60 seconds.
